Score Fast Pro: compose, notate, play, print music for Android
Last but not least, don't forget about the staccatos + rip chords (you know what I mean?) and then it would be 5 stars. ???????? And 2nd intervals are not supposed to hover on each other. One note is supposed to be on the other side of the stem and one note over the other side, future realese.
This app keeps improving and the developers are pretty good at replying to emails (in my experience). I use it a lot for choral music and it does most of the things I want. No tempo changes mid-score at the moment and occasionally there are bugs but I think it is very good. Recent upgrade (Dec 2016) to the way scores are saved and loaded is a big improvement.
1. What if we want to add words in our song? 2. I cannot seem to be able to touch "Delete Selected" because it is at the corner, which this is LG Pad, it is half broken. 3. Why can't we add slurs to our music? And 4., MOST STUPID OF ALL, why can't we add TIES TO CHORDS?!!! Would you please let me update?
I cannot believe how great this app is. I love the options and mobility. The developers are super kind and quickly respond to reviews and suggestions. They are always trying to make the app better. And, it comes at a great price! You could not ask for a better music notation app.
Having just purchased the pro version I was expecting the functionality of being to add cres and dims and slurs. These are fundamental to music writing.
Best music notation app available for Android and regular updates continue to bring useful new features. There's also a free version so you can test drive it first but pro is worth the modest price. An easy 5-stars.
Tried this briefly, found these interface and layout of buttons poorly designed. Very disappointed to find the refund option wasn't available
Good but can you add snare drum? I love the sound!
Can you add a 128the note and 128th rest, oh and also can you add a music sheet player line, so when the song plays i know what measure the song is playing
Got this as I don't read music & needed to "note bash" at home to learn music for choir. Straight forward touch screen, select & paste means it was easy to copy the scores quickly. It does take a little time to get used to it & is a bit glitch but does what I need. I can't figure out how to get the repeats to allow for a second ending though, so have had to re-Enter sections rather that use the repeats. Perhaps this might be added in a future update? Pro is very reasonably priced for this easy to use app, especially compared to some others on the market. UPDATED 5TH FEB 2016 I discovered a bug that kept causing score fast pro to crash when changing time signatures. I emailed the developers & received very fast developer response & within a week a new version was available to overcome this bug. Absolutely fantastic response from the developers. Keep it up! Gives you faith that there are still real people involved in things in this techno day & age!
I have scoured the app store for months trying to find a satisfactory music composing app. I am trying to arrange a piece of music for a concert and I thought I hit a home run with this app. I tried it out and found it almost met all my needs. One thing though; I need tempo changes in the middle of my piece (i.e. Changing the tempo in measure 20) and, I am sorry to say, this app doesn't do that. But, there is still hope. If you make it so I can change the tempo in the middle of the piece, you will win me.
Good app overall, but could use some more developing. Possibly I just can't figure how to what I'm trying to do. If I could do these things it would the best app ever: print, have more than one long line of the score so it would be image and printer friendly. The only other thing that frustrated me was the app keeps adding whole rests over my music (they are a different color that the line I'm on). Fix those things and it would be 5 stars. It still got the job done other than being able to print.
First off, this is an excellent app. Does 95% of what I want without question. There are a couple of tiny things that are missing, though: finer control of repeated phrases being a big one. Other than that, being able to stack the menu, or arranging it into function 'drawers' would tidy things up immensely. The ability to wrap the stave on-screen, so one can compare phrases would be very useful, too. Beyond those minor omissions, it is a fantastic app, and does a fine job of allowing me to transcribe music quickly on my tablet. It doesn't include advanced notation, but there are bigger desktop programs for that sort of thing. For putting down a piece of music efficiently and without fuss, this is truly brilliant. Get the repeat handling and aesthetic tweaks sorted, and this will be an ironclad 5-star piece of software.
Good but IT ALWAYS MESSES OUT ON ME! How come! I want to try to get the best way to create the music I want, but it always says it is not having the correct beat.
This has 4 only because the 5 is 5 times the price or free but I think it good to involve prices too.
This app does almost everything I need, and there are new features being added regularly. I would recommend this app to any musician.
Best music notation app available for Android. There's also a free version so you can test drive it first but pro is easily worth the modest price.
So simple to use and I can quickly put down my musical ideas.
So many features and so simple to use. Plenty of help available. Composing anywhere, any time really is possible. And I can share my scores in so many ways. A great app that's well worth the small price.
Transposing instruments like clarinets are so simple to compose for - the app can do all the tricky transpositions of key signatures, pasted phrases, accidentals, etc for me! Automatic note grouping and variable width bars make my scores look like published music. The app lets me compose without getting in the way. Well worth the price!
This app does everything I want and is really easy to use. Love the feature where you can have transposing instruments for example B flat Clarinet.

So close, BUT... 1. spent hours writing, saving, then the tool would state that the file was not created by Fast Score and would not open the song: start over. 2. write music, save the file, close it and reopen it later but it does not match what I wrote: start over. 3. spent hours writing, app crash: start over. It does so much, and seems great, but I've literally thrown away over 10 hours of writing. I so wish it was reliable.
