About Arc File Manager
Arc File Manager is a powerful file manager support common file operations. The main feature is compressing and decompressing files in popular archive formats like 7z(7zip), rar zip. You can extract more than 30 formats with a single click. It is built with 7zip library which provides faster compression and decompression. You can create/extract password protected, multi-part archives easily. Create shortcut to home screen or create bookmark for faster folder/file access. The supported operations are listed below -

1. Why this app is asking for password. It's a free app after all.
Ans: The app is not asking you for password but the file you are decompressing. Some files are password protected to protect it's content from unauthorized access. You need to know the password in order to decompress the file. Extracting password protected archives are just another feature by Arc File Manager. Non password protected files will work fine.

Missing feature: cloud support. I've been loyal to this app for three to four years now. It's not changed since Dec 2014 and I need the abovementioned feature so I'm moving iA. I believe that the developers have abandoned it. Otherwise, great little app.

Very good at organizing files and folders and can compress your files in one pool. And you can attach them in your correspondent.

Any praise falls so short of what this app deserves. I'm a rooted user and I still use Arc as my daily file manager. Its the best app out there. Now there's one thing that I want and thats to have an optional root function so it can go in /data and other root folders.

Great utility, sleek & straightforward design, and the added ability to de/compress files makes it a top notch app! The only suggestion I could make would be custom size settings for the grid view (for users who detest oversized web 2.0 icons/gui)

Before I could go into me internal memory and manually move folders from my phone to my SD by holding my thumb on the folder and given a list which included a move option. The function I had to move is now gone and when I try copy and paste a folder from my internal memory my SD it says moved but it hasn't done anything. Removing the move function has ruined this app. Please fix and I'll give 5 stars

Don't waste your time unless you are extracting one folder at a time. In my case I have 10,819 folders that need extracting and this app is useless for that.

My phone is glitchy sometimes my file manager doesn't work. They made it very simple and it works almost identical to android file manager

It read only on microSD card, I don't mind with Android KitKat, but Android Lollipop too? Come on, it should be able to write it since Google already made it possible with this version, fix it please.

Arc works smoothly for zip and 7z files. However, if you open an encrypted file such as a list of passwords or your tax return, Arc saves that unencrypted file in its temp folder. And doesn't delete it afterward. Edit after dev response: Arc will delete the unencrypted file if you exit the app by tapping the back button twice and only view the file in Arc File Manager.
