My Backup Pro

My Backup Pro was one of the first paid Android apps I bought way back in 2010. I've been pretty happy with it until now. It Will NOT retain settings to back up to External SD. Selecting ExtSd works fine, but must be done EVERY time My backup starts. And scheduled backups ALWAYS Revert to Internal storage. There is No Way to Export settings and Reload them. All of the other paid backup apps I use are for Rooted devices. This is the only UnRooted device I use. All of the other apps on this device retain settings for Writing to the External SD card. Please Fix this. Stock Android 7.0 on Moto G5 Plus.

I have been using this for years. Added 60 GB additional space yesterday and backed up all the data about 30 GB on their cloud server over 12 hours. I reset the phone Samsung note 8, tried to restore the back up. I cannot log on with the registered mail ID and password which always says e mail ID and password are incorrect. I feel cheated and devastated having lost all valuable data.

Am tired to see the dialog "Buy the pro version" when I have the Pro Version. The problem is that this Barbie needs clear signal to Authenticate, if signal is weak it can't work. And the Dialog show up to buy the Pro Version. Don't waste your money

This software used to work well but recently have not worked on some of schedule previously working. Support thinks it's other application that is stopping this software from working but stopped from investing further which app. So, beware that this app may be incompatible with some app.

Have been using this backup application for years. Very easy to use. Migration to new device is a great feature. Backup location options a definite plus. Open app select options and what you want backed up...done!

Simple, effective way to backup and migrate the important bits like SMS/MMS that Google doesn't. This app makes switching to a new (or freshly wiped) phone less of an ordeal because it makes it easy to retain call logs and text messages across devices. It's dead simple to use as well, another big plus.

I have the pro version with an unrooted Droid. With Android 6 it used to only save to a USB. With Android 7 it only saves to internal memory so you might have to play with it to make it work, to figure out what it has to do. Another quirky thing is you have to set up the save location directory before you can do anything. It's not for people who don't like to figure out the user end of software. It seems to do the most important things and you can save to your own device, internal memory or usb, one of the two should work, thereby avoiding the cloud, Backup Pro cloud or Google Cloud. So I'm happy.

I backed up data from one phone to replace on another and it can't even do it. They program doesn't let you find files it created and had a confusing interface. The help section is simply awful.

Take a free 100 Mb bribe for giving a glowing review. I've just run out of the free 100Mb that comes with the paid account. Having said that, it does appear to be the quickest, simplest backup up.

Back up seemed okay until one day when I wanted to two reinstall my backup ~ just didn't work! Very annoying.

Still waiting for my "activation code" to be sent so I can use with my PC. Paid $6.99. Where's my activation code or have I wasted my money??

Don't bother relying on the cloud feature. Rarware support is unhelpful if you run into problems with your account.

Great app, but I found I had to go to Settings, Security, and turn on "unknown sources" for My Backup pro to restore all my apps. Afterward I turned that back off.

Paid for this app, but does not work! Keep getting "unfortunately mybackup pro has stopped". Reported this for awhile now, but no fix forth coming. After a year it's still the same no fix. Updated 20 Jan 18.

WARNING The description states: My Backup Pro will work on all Android mobile devices regardless of whether they have root access or not. NOT TRUE! Read the next line: Users who have a rooted phone can backup APK and the data/settings of all apps. Therefore...without rooting, the app will not back anything up! All apps that come back onto your phone from Play Store will be as they were on day one. USELESS! PS: You dont need an app to backup photos, music and documents...just copy to your hard drive or microSD card.

I just tried to reinstall this program after not using it for a couple of years. I had to re-purchase the product, but I figured that it had a drop dead date on it. Wouldn't recognize my email address, so I had to re-register the email address. Then it tells me to reset the password. AND THERE'S NO AVENUE TO RESET THE PASSWORD!!!!!!! I had forgotten what a colossal PITA this software was to use. Guys, can't you even get your webpage set up correctly???

Didn't do anything different than Google backup. I want my money back ASAP! It didn't save my alarms, or my bookmarks, or any of my pictures! Waste of time and money.

This app use to work great so i paid for it. Unfortunately the past couple of phones I have had, it has not worked on. I have reached to them for their help but have not gotten any replies. I would not recommend this app anymore.

Plainly and simply, it works as advertised. Quick. Painless. Secure. Very much worth the cost. Doing anything else is a complete waste of time. Get this app.

Works great. Best app when getting a new phone and don't want to lose information. Useful to view files of backup on the website. Could use simpler instructions and more FAQs, especially as to the actual cost which is not transparent.

I paid $8.99 for this app and it won't let me back up to the cloud without paying more. Unacceptable.

Just got it. That said its a simple to use app. It completed an entire backup to Google drive in just a few minutes. As I use the app I will post any new info

Works well and I've restored files without problems. Not enough cloud storage and interface not great. Wish it could backup to 3rd party storage solutions like Dropbox or Google Drive or allow easy transfer of old backups to those sites.

I keep getting error messages, but I don't know what they mean. I think it works?

Had been using this app whenever I changed Android phone for several years now and had worked well for my needs.

After performing backup to SD card, i found that NOTHING was written to the card! Uninstallef the app and expect a prompt refund.

I'm no star at using backups but when I needed to transfer be file this was simple and I did it without paying phone stores to retrieve... Thanks

Used to be great but now it doesn't work at all. I don't want to have to figure out how to make it work it should just work. Uninstalled.

Saved me. Phone stolen right after I backed up, on the same day I bought this, that afternoon. Got it ALL back, yeah!!! Will never go without!!!

I have used this app for years now... and have always been satisfied with its excellent performance and security.

Stable app. Does what it promises. With newer android versions though (after 6), it does not keep the setting for external storage, you have to reconfigure every time you open the app.

I've been using this backup product since 2009 now. It has saved my data (and keister) on numerous occasions. I'd highly recommend the service... Excellent!!!

They seriously could not have made it any easier to do backups.

Unable to transfer files to my computer, but the cloud seemed to work.

I used to love this program but somehow it removed the option to backup folders and files to SD card I now will never use again and I'm very disappointed that I purchased this program
