RELEVANT Magazine

It used to be great. It is sad that they haven't tried to fix this. The app just doesn't work. Wants me to subscribe when I've already done so. Won't download magazines. Just doesn't work.

I have a subscription I paid for on the website, but it doesn't work with the tablet app. It says I need to pay for each issue on the app if I want to read it, even though my subscription covers that, even online. This app is virtually unusable unless you want to pay again just to use it.

Canceled android magazine because low number of users? Too bad app was horrible. Should have made it usable on large screen phones. Print it is, I guess. Or iPad.

I was going on here write a review of how awesome this version is - like 10x more readable and fun than the print edition, which always takes me a long time to get through...and it's cancelled. Lame. Especially after 1. I bought an android tablet this summer knowing this app was available and I would be changing physical addresses a few times this year 2. I just let my subscription auto - renew this month and 3. Cameron was talking on the podcast about having extra funds and giving back to loyal followers...why not focus on the actual magazine people are paying for instead of parties, etc.? :-(

I share the sentiments of many of the reviewers here. Although the app was a little temperamental at times, it integrated the use of media beautifully to add a unique experience to the already interesting print magazine. I am bummed to see it go, and even more sad that I can no longer even seem to view my old downloaded magazines in the app.

Love the magazine but the app crashes. Also need the ability to make the font larger. Will not renew. Stop from crashing and allow to enlarge and I will reconsider.

I love this app, and don't worry about your subscription. It looks like you have to subscribe, but if you haven't logged into your account, you will need to do that before you can download. Once you are logged in you are all set. The only challenge I have is the fact that it takes forever to download a magazine. I am not sure why that is, and I have tried on different wifi connections with the same result. Also, I would like to be able to set the sound to mute for all - rather than sitting in a room, opening a magazine and hearing it play music. If it weren't for these, I would give it 5 stars.

Love this magazine! Whether it works probably depends on your device tho... Works great on my new Nexus 9, but didn't work at all on the 10. I would definitely check it out right away before the refund window closes if you purchase a subscription.

Can you please make it so that either the issues when downloaded can be saved /stored on SD or the whole app can be moved to SD? Samsung are stupid with this sort of thing, thanks

*update* The app is actually useless...Relevant no longer supports the android version of this app.*update*. I can't see any issue more recent than the May/June 2015 issue and my subscription is good into 2016. Supports response was redownload the app but it didn't fix the problem.

I love the app but it does crash during startup regularly. I can restart the app and live with it for now but hopefully an update will solve this problem.

I love this app. It makes a big difference being able to experience the multimedia content on my tablet rather than just reading about it (and adding to my to-do list to check certain things out, but inevitably never getting around to it). It's slightly buggy at times, but that may be because I have an older, slow tablet.

Just says fetching price and will not let me purchase an issue to read. Android app is very neglected

Used to work on my Nexus 7 1st Gen. I've sense upgraded my tablet and it never sees any issues. The issues tab is blank page. Love magazine but they really need to realize Android has 80% of market share and really need to fix this. It's not like Android is the minority of users here.

Doesn't work on Amazon Fire Tablet 5 which is very disappointing. I'm willing to live with bugs if it means I can read on my tablet.

The app keps crashing, I get as far as the first slice and then boom, no more magazine. I even tried older issues and had the same problem, please fix

New subscriber and was excited to read back issues digitally, but it doesn't work on my tablet (Nexus 7 2013) that is running Lollipop 5.0.1. I see the app hasn't been updated since summer 2014. Hopefully there will be some attention given soon!

I've waited and asked for this app for years now. So great to see it and the environment is stunning and innovative in addition to the excellent content. It is still crashing a lot. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice now.

I love Relevant Magazine and the Android version is awesome! I love how you can read and share articles, and listen to music and interview clips...all with the click of a button! I would have rated this app 5 stars, but it has begun to crash every time I read an issue. Please fix...I miss reading! :(

Easily a 5 star app if it didn't crash so much. Otherwise an incredible interactive reading experience.

Why not just make the pdf available until the interactive bugs get worked out? I hat to say it, but this really shouldn't be released yet if it's not going to work.

My wife and I love Relevant. It is frustrating, however, to buy a year's subscription on Android, only to find out the app doesn't recognize our purchase. Instead of allowing us to download the latest issue, it requires us to subscribe again. Even if I choose this option, it comes up with an error and says I already own it. If this can be fixed, I will give this app 5 stars for sure.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. I've been a print subscriber to Relevant since the first issue. I've been a Relevant Podcast listener since episode 1. I previously had an iPad (Gen 1) that allowed access to the digital edition. However, when I sold it a year and a half ago - the only thing I missed about was NOT having Relevant, digitally..... I had heard they were going to be launching an Android version, so I was hopeful that I'd have it on my Nexus 7 sooner, rather than later..... Well. at the 11th hour of the original launch date, they "pulled the plug", and tabled the project, because it seemed they couldn't get it up to their high standards. All along, they've been saying "it's coming" - and now it's HERE. It's everything the iPad version I remember was - sweet animations, cool sounds/soundtracks, cool interactive content/multimedia - the whole shebang. Props to Relevant and all involved in development/launch. Thanks for keeping this loyal subscriber satisfied - keep up the GREAT work!!

I have been a long time subscriber and heard all about their iPad app. Now I know what the hype was about! THE way to enjoy Relevant's great content.

Every time you try to read the magazine it crashes. So glad I only bought one issue and didn't subscribe. Contacted company 4 days ago and still no reply. Terrible for an app that has paid content.

Love Relevant and was pumped for the digital edition on Android, but the app immediately crashes when I try to read the one issue currently available. Nexus 7 (2013). UPDATE: Uninstalled, then reinstalled and now it's working great!

So happy to have an android version! I love how the backgrounds change, and having access to audio and video content built right into the page!
