Amber RSS Reader for Android
Forced closes on my for the past 3 months on ALL my devices. HTC10, Nexus9 and Nexus 6p. What gives?
Really nice looking app but it would be great if you could implement a feature that allows embedded videos to be shown.
WTH!!! I keep this app so, whenever I get a moment to read my feeds on my phone, I can take it out and enjoy some article reading. It's been a while since I had some time to sit back, get some coffee, relax and read my feeds; however, I get welcomed by force closes. Big no no. Sorry guys, but you just ruined my feed reading time.
Beautiful design, optimised for tablets. Also, best devs ever. Thank you guys.
Widget has crashed. Tap to restart. I get this message CONSTANTLY!
Abandoned
I decided to revisit the app and see if it had improved from my previous review. I was overjoyed to find that it had. The only problem still nagging me is that when your feeds refresh/update, the home screen will "jump" from your current position to somewhere unknown. If you have the "mark as read on scroll" option activated, many news items get marked even if you've never seen them. This is, unfortunately, a deal breaker as it impairs regular use of the app. It randomly crashed on me as well.
Needs an update to include: - Choice of larger font, the article font size looks so small on the Nexus 6. - Material Design
I came here to make a list of complaints/bugs I've noticed over the last few months, but since this app hasn't been updated in over a year I guess there is no one here to read them.
This app hasn't had any fixes in over a year, and while decent isn't updated for lollipop, has widget issues and sync issues. The bugs I reported directly to the author have went ignored for over a year, the same widget bugs others are seeing. It's a damned shame too, could've been a great news reader.
List my folder names, but never shows a single story. This is why Play Store needs a longer refund period.

A great RSS app, that stands out because of its awesome design!
Is this app not under active development anymore? There's serious bugs w lollipop (widget out of sync and drains battery), app title bar in recent items view does not match theme, icon visibily awkward in Android's new design language, etc...
Unfortunately, development for this app has already stopped and improvements are no longer coming.
Beautiful, but keeps force closing when opening feeds...
Doesn't sync, which makes it useless
Crashes instantly on Android 6
I have a qhd tablet and everything is to big there is not really a tablet layout
Does not work with Inoreader anymore, probably because of the change to a new API. The dev is not responding to mails regarding this issue. The app is very well designed and beautiful to look at, might worth it if you use it with another service.

Yeah I personally the icon could use flatter colours and more drop shadows, and the current one would look much better without the "a" in my opinion.
Why no updates? No content in widgets of specific feed
Randomly crashes on my phone now. Has been updated in over a year and a half. Sucks because I haven't found an alternative that is this simple and easy on eyes for reading articles.
Beautifully designed and a joy to use, my only issue is that despite having all the correct options checked, read articles are never reported back to my Feedbin account. Even if I manually refresh, everything I have just read in that session is restored unread. Quite frustrating.
However isnt working as it should lately. Crashes or freezes up regularly. And can be painfully slow.
App is fast, clean and very functional, but the widget always gets out of sync and stops updating. When this happens, opening an article from the widget opens an unrelated article in the app. Since I mostly bought the app for the widget, the app is largely useless unfortunately

...has many synching issues especially in the last updates. Come on this is a paid app.
Probably the best reader I've tried. The only major problem I have is that the widget is usually missing about 75% of the pics and it never truly synchs at the 1 hour intervals I've set. It's more like once per day which is really annoying. Would Greenify affect this? Every time I check the Amber is never Greenified so I can't tell why this is happening. Very frustrated.
But no longer being maintained and still with bugs galore

Beautiful and functional app that is marred by such an unsightly icon.
Hasn't seen an update in almost 6 months...
Hoping for a magazine view with horizontal scroll
I like this app & it would be my go to app for all rss related stuff except for 1 issue. When I am reading articles it does not always display the first couple of letters or a word at the beginning of each line. That makes the entire app useless when I can't read a article in it's entirety. Amber please fix this issue & you get 5 stars from this customer. Thanks
Only missing feature is gif support

I've used a lot of news readers, but this one has been the best thus far. I love the organization, the design, and the extensive (but not overbearing) customization features. My only minor complaint is that I think the icon is terrible. I know I know, it's a picky thing to be concerned about, but it is somewhat inconsistent with the much better internal-app design and it looks like something from the beginning of jelly bean. I'd like to see a rounder flatter icon, but again, it's a minor issue.

Very well-built app, syncs with every major rss provider, and looks beautiful too. Only thing that's missing is tt-rss support; I'd give it 5 stars if that existed. Solid app, well worth the money, kudos!
