Pi SD Card Imager for Android
Used before recent update on rooted 4.4.2 device. I installed Noobs lite. Took sd card out, put into pi 3. Let it self install, then chose raspbian with pixel and libreELEC. Both installed flawlessly. Couldn't have asked for more.
Unable to find Ubuntu Mate OS as your Read More shows page 2 Why ???
Usually works but as of late I've had trouble not being able to Img any cards. Says OK I do my usual routine of waiting a minute or so after its completed then unmount and insert into 1 of my many pi but for some reason the last 20 odd times I've tried with new and old cards it just corrupts them... I'm using a galaxy note 4 existing and freshly downloaded Img all give same result :-/
Great app! A couple button presses and you have a fully functional sdcard with os for a pi!
Thanks, it saved me the trouble finding a micro SD card adapter
Pretty intuitive. Just click, click, click, and my SD card is working on my Pi exactly as intended. This saved my bacon as I had no access to SD card readers!
Great app.now if only there was a way to update my offline pi with an android app. Aptonandroid or something
Wow very impressed!
Seemed to work, said it flashed the image fine, but the Pi would not boot with it.
OK so how does this work if your sd is not fat formatted
Link for downloading full NOOBS broken
Perfect for people that don't have personal computers. Got me started
Just what i needed
It sucks it crashes every time to write btw i am root i would rate it 0 stars
Install only noobs lite. You can install other os after connecting to internet via pi
Brilliant app, got my pi running using my phone to write sd image.
Bakwas
But update the distros daily...
You can select from the images in the app or use your own. It can install an OS straight to any SD card I can connect to my phone. The app doesn't crash when you tell it to install. It "crashing" is actually it trying to tell you your SD card isnt big enough. (It doesn't crash, it pulls up your devices storage). Don't let idiots that don't know tech drive you away from this app. It works GREAT!
I was able to get started straightaway without needing my Mac - clicked NOOBS lite and chose my SD card then write SD. Couldn't use read/backup function though as my phone isn't rooted
My PC has not a SD card reader. This app saved me the day
This couldnt find my usb OTG sdcard writer, so unfortunately that makes it no use to me (and I suspect most other potential users). Do suggest putting in the effort to support OTG. :) Reply to your reply: no I couldn't, and i think i know why. You are not using the inbui!t android file chooser, which provides the option to enable usb otg drives for the invoking app. See Asus File Manager for example of this flow. Switch your handrolled file chooser for the system one? I'm on android 6
Just wanted to save and write my own image.
Cannot flash my own pre-downloaded image
To get another distribution you must choose noobs lite then it shows pinn or berryboot this is not intuitive. Also I couldn't write to otg only the internal SD card so I was not able to fully test it. It has no instructions at all no hints so no good for a noob. Such a shame as it could easily get 5 stars with a little more effort.
needs to be able to use Raspbian full and light or just select img from phone then can setup headless from phone/tablet
When choosing Write to SD it crashed completely
Cool because it aloud you to set up your pi with out a computer or people who don't have a computer to set it up.
cannot select own image
Y u make this 2 difficult 2 use!!!
Would be higher rated if it done more than just open and not shut down when you click write to SD
Avarin
Add feature to select image I have downloaded and it would be five stars. As it is, the software is useless to power users.
Good good good good
I gave 5 star for this
