About RR File Locker

File privacy and security for your Android Device is here!

RR File Locker provides a secure, private virtual data vault for sensitive information. You can secure any file types on your android device with RR File Locker: pictures, videos, text documents, mp3s, office documents, you name it. If it's a file, RR File Locker can secure it.

Unlike other file privacy applications, RR File Locker does more than just hide and rename files. All files moved into the Locker are encrypted with 56 bit modified RC4 encryption. Files moved to the Locker will be invisible and inaccessible to other applications, including applications with root or superuser access.

NO EXTRA PERMISSIONS! The only permission that RR File Locker needs is "MODIFY/DELETE USB STORAGE CONTENTS MODIFY/DELETE SD CARD CONTENTS". This permission is needed so that RR File Locker can read and write the files you want to encrypt. No need for internet access, reading your phone state, contacts, instant messages, etc. so you don't have to worry about ads or privacy.

Want to try it out first? Search for RR File Locker LITE in the Android Market.

Most reliable app of its kind I have found to date. I find it nice and simple. I don't have to strain my brain to work out how it functions like a lot of apps seems to be these days. Customer service is 100% when I had problem on new device. Instant coms from developer.

Impressive Security App. It functions precisely as advertised and the customer service is noteworthy. It provides secure storage options that include my external sd media card on my Android 6.0.1 Samsung tablet.

Updated my OS and the app can't write or read from my SD card. Don't know what happened before, maybe my email was not received. But now I have been receiving lots of help to try to find an answer to fix my problem accessing files. Thank you. Update! Thank you for the update, it worked totally fixed the problem.

I installed the Lite version and had little problem getting the files back on the SD card. Sent in an email on the problem and in less than 30 minutes Justin had replied with the answer. It does what it says and is just what I needed for work so I purchased the full version. Great customer service as well.

BEWARE! This seems to have caused loss of my microSD card. Very recently installed this on AT&T LG G3 w/Android 5.0.1. Following install & open, phone no longer recognizes 32GB microSD. From "Settings/Storage" "SDCard" section is now grayed out, hinting no card installed. I've powered off/on, & card still not recognized. Restarted, & still no luck. Powered Off, removed card, powered on, then off, re-inserted card, powered back on, & still card not recognized. Uninstalled, & card still not recognized. - The User Guide needs clarity; instructions obviously written by someone very familiar with app who xpects users to have similar level of knowledge, (all too common with app docs). Most annoying is I paid for this. (I paid & uninstalled; if fixed can I re-install w/out paying again? Now thinking apps s/b called "craps". UPDATE: Put card in tablet, not recognized. Tried in desktop w/adapter, not recognized. Uncertain of cause, but curious card became useless after installation.

I've been using this app for a fairly long time. I highly recommend it. Easy to use, and works great. And... does not limit you to viewing using registered apps... you can use any app to open the file - since once decrypted, the file location is available to you. Developer is very responsive.

This app is super-fast at encryption and decryption. It appears to be like Truecrypt, creating a space which opens into a normal folder where you can add files and create a folder structure. The support is also excellent - my first question was answered within 30 minutes, and the developer suggested a successful resolution to my query. My only reason for awarding only 4 stars was the lack of a multi-select option on import & delete, but he's now added those in the latest version (Jan 30 2012), so up to 5 stars it goes... Terrific app.

File locker does not show up in gallery for hiding files. Used to work b4 firmware update. I paid for this app, it needs to be fixed. 2 stars.

I have word files, pictures, videos, and presentations on my SD card that I don't want everybody snooping at. I like how easy the program is to use. The UI could use a little sharpening up, but this is the best encryption, file security software I have come across on the Android Market...I liked it so much I bought the paid version! Keep up the great work! I will pass your application name around to co-workers and friends! Hope they can use your program also!

The bulk encryption option couldn't find my SD card, meaning the only way to encrypt items was one file at a time. With around 100 items, this was impractical and onerous. No thanks.

C70%
by C####:

A decent "vault style" file encryptor. Scores points for hassle-free decryption+viewing and consistently tidying up after itself. One quibble: the encrypted files appear tied to that specific installation of the files, as far as I can tell. So if you reinstall you won't be able to decrypt previously encrypted files, even if you have a backup of them. Or is there a way to do this?

C70%

excellent app for securing important files on your mobile phone or tablet. highly recommended. although its a pain if you accidentally hit remove app while editing all your apps or if someone uninstall it in app management of your phone.

Export corrupts files. Decrypt limits action by file type.
