Guitar Fretboard Trainer FREE

Decent, but when you go to Play > Full Fretboard (set to non-scrolling), it is not in fact the full fretboard but rather only up to the 12th fret. App description states that the free version has everything that the pay version does, so not being able to train above the 12th fret is a big negative. There is another app in the Play store which does have such functionality.

This has been instrumental in my learning of the fretboard, thank you. Suggestion: add questions like - "find 2 F's in the highlighted area" "find one octave down/up from the highlighted note" "find the note a diminished 5th from the highlighted note" Bug: Upon starting a session in landscape/portrait and moving to portrait/landscape, highlighted note/string disappears.

App is certainly useful but what it needs is the ability to start with whole notes only and then add flats and sharps once you have whole note proficiency.

I paid for the full version before there were ads, now, after the update I have the free version and have to pay more to remove ads.

This app works. There are free competing apps that give access to the whole fretboard, though, so it makes it difficult to settle on this one. (Thank you to the developer for changing the description.)

Great app but doesn't work on Droid Note 4. Clicking on buttons does nothing... I'll buy it as soon as it's fixed!

A great way to learn the notes on the fretboard. By being in a game format, it doesn't seem like work at all!

Adds nothing to sitting down and learning the notes of the fretboard.

Great! But a Bass Version needed.

Works great. Only minor issue I notice is that it often repeats the same note. I don't think It's ever useful to get the same note 2 or 3 times in a row, if you could make an exception in your random generator to prevent repeats, it would a little better. How about global stats so you can track improvement?

Great learning tool. A must have. I just upgraded to the full version.

Description is misleading. The LITE version doesn't have all the functionality of the full version since it lacks the crucial part - the ability to test yourself on all 12 frets across all strings. You have either the option of all 12 frets on an E string, or the first 5 frets on all strings. If you want the full fretboard (which is basically the entire point of a fretboard testing tool), you need to create a new profile, which of course is locked out. So all in all, it works as a demo for the full version, but as a learning tool on its own it's severely limited.

Great app. The perfect thing for the player who wants a less boring way to learn the fretboard than drills. Does NOT take place of the drills; borinf or not, theyvr the only way to gain speed and accuracy. But this is a perfect app for learning the note

Good training for a beginner like me. Makes learning the notes on the neck possible when my guitar is not with me.

Its a good app. It does exactly what it says it will do. For someone who doesn't know where all the notes are on EACH STRING, this app can help you, because you MUST KNOW where ALL of the notes are to ever become a good guitar player or to play lead guitar! GET IT!!!
