What are users saying about RR Guitar Fretboard Trainer

S70%
by S####:

The app is a good training tool. It would be better if the option was available to train with the root notes only, no sharps or flats.

T70%
by T####:

Good way to learn fretboard notes, but there is a noticable lag between pressing your answer and the program recognizing or responding.

I70%
by I####:

One of (if not) the best fretboard trainers out there. Ability to customize drills was the deciding factor for me.

T70%
by T####:

Learning the fret names was tricky before but in weeks I had it like the back of my hand.

E70%
by E####:

Make sure to get this app - & then put some concentration plus hours in place and it will help you loads. It worked really well for me.

M70%
by M####:

I don't regret buying this app and would give it 5 stars if only I could define a profile in terms of notes and strings. For instance drill on notes {E,F,C,B} across strings {2,3,4,5}. That would be more convenient then finding and selecting all the corresponding string/fret combinations.

M70%
by M####:

great app for learning the fretboard. Would be even better with an option that shows the notes on the G music bar for practicing reading sheet music.

M70%
by M####:

This app is very helpful to see how well you are learning the fretboard based on both accuracy and speed and I am not aware of anything similar. I am just starting to use their interval trainer app as well.

M70%
by M####:

The statistics are not very useful. The average isn't a very good measurement for how well you know some fretboard position. A better one would be a median of last 10 answers, for example.

M70%
by M####:

Great way to learn the fretboard and helps with ear training.

G70%
by G####:

No more not knowing exactly where my next note is. Great app!

C70%
by C####:

If I could make a suggestion: with the "find this note on this string" questions - on the non-scrolling and scrolling fretboards - consider placing the wanted note in a large font above centre the fretboard. It will make it more enjoyable if you don't have to take your eyes off the fretboard, look for the wanted note in the upper left corner of the screen, and then take your eyes back to the fretboard to find the note. REALLY GREAT APP GUYS!!

C70%
by C####:

Terrific app! Its a great and fun way to practice on my down time at work. BUT, when selecting a tuning when I go to create a game...the letters are super dark and I have to highlight them to barely see them. Just some friendly feedback because it seems like you care about what your fans have to say!

Five minutes on the lite version and I bought full version. First app I've ever paid for. It's that good. Super skill trainer!

Y70%
by Y####:

No sound on Galaxy S3 with sound box checked. Also, accidentals are gray, not white in "locate" note section of game. No biggie, but...

C70%
by C####:

Have had it for a few days and speed of knowing my way around is definitely increasing. Not sure yet how this will translate into improving my playing. One feature that would be nice is saving scores from different exercises to compare. Would also like to see this or another app have similar features but with written notes on treble clef. THAT would be cool. One downside is the strict memorization. You don't get to see how notes relate in scales. App only takes you so far.

O70%
by O####:

I found this app to be very useful in helping me learn my fretboard inside out. It is fairly simple but I like the overall design as it is easy to work with and very clear. Two thumbs up!

C70%
by C####:

I haven't found anything that has helped me learn the fretboard but this has kept my attention. Once you get on a roll you really learn!! Easily my new favorite a

C70%
by C####:

But please make selecting frets more responsive/sensitive. Sometimes I have to touche the fret I want more than 3 times until its recognized. However, best app for the purpose =)

V70%

Best app on my phone. Had the free version for months and finally upgraded. Productive time spent on the train for my morning commute.

C70%
by C####:

Has a really good layout. If you need help learning the notes on the fretboard this it.

K70%
by K####:

Really good app. Why they made the sharp and flat symbols dark so you cant see them idk but stiill a great app

U70%
by U####:

Would like to see it show the note when you press the wrong fret. #learnfrommistakes

N70%
by N####:

Doesn't respond to touch well enough. Update. I was invited by "Justin" to email him to discuss the issue. The email bounced. I checked it and retired several times. Then I looked on the Red Rabbit website to get the phone number and called that----phone number was no longer an active number.

R70%
by R####:

Terrible app! I bought it to get more familiar with scales and the scales aren't even shown!

O70%

Really helps with learning notes on the fretboard.

L70%

I've been using this app for about two hours and I already feel like I know the fretboard three times better than before.

D70%

This is a great way to learn the fretboard and train the ear. Extremely customizable!

D70%

Really good app. Why they made the sharp and flat symbols dark so you cant see them idk but stiill a great app

D70%
by D####:

The app does what it says. The only problem that I have is the responsivness when I touch the screen to indicate the note. I have to press 3 times at minimum. Galaxy S3

D70%
by D####:

Would love to see note symbols included as well.

D70%
by D####:

It would be nice to have it name either a sharp or flat randomly instead of giving both (only C# or Db as opposed to asking for C#/Db). Also the targets need to be bigger for identifying a note on a string. Why not make the whole fret work as a target since it already told you what string you're identifying the note on?

D70%
by D####:

I made a suggestion to implement flats or sharps or both and it was done quickly. I thought this omission was the only thing holding it back. It's nice to see that the developer does pay attention to constructive feedback.

D70%
by D####:

Very handy tool when you are away from you instrument. Runs well, I haven't had any crash issues.

D70%
by D####:

I had a problem with the app crashing after 2.1, but they fixed it after I emailed them. I'm very happy that something got done, because there is no guitar app that matches this one in functionality.

D70%
by D####:

Good way to learn fretboard notes, but there is a noticable lag between pressing your answer and the program recognizing or responding.

D70%
by D####:

Love this trainer. It continues to help me learn all of the notes on the fret board and manages to make it fun.

D70%
by D####:

Does exactly what it says. Love the stats graphics and the ability to make a game out of the issue areas!
