Gallifreyan Translator

Wish you could change size of background image (not just square) and thickness of lines, but all-in-all, it's a great app.

But it doesn't eliminate lines by using the same line for more than one character, which is important. All the beautiful calligraphy of Circular Gallifreyan is just gone here. I'll stick to drawing them myself

Letters are accurate- they just move to different placements in the circle. It's up to the individual where they are placed when writing some of them.

I wish it included the extended symbols for c, ph, & etc. (Or turned ph into f) I wish I could change the orientation of the lines manually, rather than deleting and replacing a letter over and over again until the randomizer puts them where I want. It also does a terrible job of keeping sentences enclosed, it needs hit detection. It also sometimes drops lines from vowels, changing words into gibberish for no reason. Double letters close open consonants, small words with open consonants have weird overhang.

While similar, each time I do a translation of the same phrase I get a different result. If you are doing this for fun then it's ok, but if you are doing it for accuracy then you should look elsewhere.

I entered my name saved picture exited. Then did it again and the circle was different.

Fairly accurate really. This actually fits in with what Gallefreyan looks like. Though sentinces are wrong. They progress in a ling not all in one big circle.

Pre-warning, don't put song lyrics in unless you want to crash your phone. I tried to rick-roll someone in Galifreyan, but the screen just went pitch black.

Every time I go to set a background image to be displayed, I get "invalid image selection". Fix that and it would be 5*. Using Samsung Note 5.

Before I learned to write in circular gallifreyan I thought this app was cool...it kinda is. But then I learned to write it from the bbc website and I realized the letters on here do not match the actual alphabet. Don't get me wrong, it still looks awesome, but it just doesn't say anything really.

I love this app but the only problem is my family can't read what I send them so they got the app but there is no way for them to read what I send still. If possible please make it able to read it's own creations

I typed in "Doctor Who?" about 3 times and ONLY THE POSITIONS OF THE CONNECTING LINES change. NOT the actual message, so for you all saying that it's different each time, it's only the connecting lines and that's supposed to be a variable in the Gallifreyan language. Did I spell innacurate correctly, because it wasn't in my typing dictionary.

For those of you saying its just making random shapes and its a scam, actually learn circular gallifreyan, and you would know that it works. It may not be perfect, but it does very well considering how complex these can get.

To people wondering if it works true it does. The lines in Gallifreyan are not set, in a way the language is an art form.

I was putting together a phrase, but each time I would type in the same word (matching all characters, upper and lower case) and the app was wildly inconsistent. Very disappointing.

I don't know anything about circular Gallifreyan but even I can tell that the lines aren't moving around differently as some had claimed. Words come out the same each time, letters are the same each time. Seems to be a decent app.

This is so awesome. Now I can just write all my notes like this and my friends won't even know anything. I love this so much. And I've always wanted to learn more in the language anyways. So yayy

I use this to send secret messages to my friends. I love it. The save image makes it a lot easier to do, I don't have to screen shot it every single time.

It works great! I would like it if you can change gallifreyan back into english, I would take the gallifreyan on the doctors crib and translate his name

Great bit of fun and the images will make great wallpapers etc. It is quite difficult to work out how to save the images but I've found that exporting them to the Gallery works quite well.

It is great and installed easily, but I wish it would show me how to pronounce it. Also, what is that weird collection of documents to the side for?

This app is FANTASTIC! It translates pretty good but i have issues with how it looks. Their is no variarion in thickness of lines or dots or circles (like I've seen in hand drawn translations). Without it it looks bland and boring. Also no way to add aesthetic curves to the inner circle. I know it would take alot of programming but it would take this app to the next level. Also the number system in this app is different than what i saw on the actual sight where it teaches you gallafreyan

Brilliant! Yep, this is definitely galifreyan! For all those saying it shows it different each time, the lines are SUPPOSED to move. Just one question, did u make the website too? (Oh and people who don't believe me about the lines type galifreyan translator into the computer, click the first one and see the lines in action!)

This version of fan-created Gallifreyan is superior. It has more solid rules and less variables. The only variables are placement of lines and this allows for logic and aesthetics. Punctuation is also allowed which is awesome. Would be 5 Star if I could choose file names when saving so I can make the name of the file the English version. If this can be done I have yet to figure it out. For now I must save and then go out of app to change file name.

Its cool. I like it!N 2 the dumb plp that say Gallifreyan can't b translated! HE NEVER SAID CANT only that the TARDIS doesn't.And to the plp that say its inconsistent with the translation COME ON NOW!! Do you really think this guy made up his own alphabet a whole written language!! And lets remember its NOT REAL! just a really cool thing 4 real fans of the doctor. I hate the plp that break down everything. Just enjoy the greatest "FICTIONAL", character//universe ever. 2 the guy that made this "WELL DONE"

Seems a bit complicated but you can really learn it through the app :)

I re written something and saved what it looked like the first time and it changed ... This is a cheap scam... Note for the creator of this app a memory would be nice it only randomly generates angles to accommodate the users request its a shame I like it but don't cause I know I could type in the same thing in a hundred times and it will always be different from the last .... Sooooo I'm giving this a low rating cool yes but it doesn't really work why cause its a random generator

Ssome ppl say its a scam because if you write the same word 2 it changes pattern because that Gallifreyan it has different patterns for the same letter

i know this might take a little more programing. but could you plz make it to where you can have more then one sentence. that would make it really awesome. thank you

This is a fun app. And as a whovian it I'd cool. The omly way it could be better is if it had a decoder type function.

Phrases seem to come out as one circle. I don't know a lot but I do know phrases usually look like different circles interlinked. Is this app intended for single words only?

I like this more than the online version Radio Times linked to. Can't seem to set a bg image tho, is there a set file size or ratio to use?

Works very well in real time, changing the colors is a great feature. The BBC actually teased the episode "Deep Breath" with a Gallifreyan symbol, which can be perfectly recreated with this app. I only have to add one more thought about this app... FANTASTIC!

I really like it but sometimes I'll type a word once and then clear it and type it again and the gallifreyan will be moved or have more lines?

First of I can only have one sentins so it's not the usfule also I can't contrule line Angel which means I'm stuck with rng and can't Make it look cool also the imagie ratio sucks if I set as my backgrownd I have to crop will give +1 star for each fixs.

App doesn't work. Tried typing my name 4 different times with exactly the same spelling and capitals it was different each time.

Very Good! This is definatly one of the better translators on the internet! It does a really great job, especially with very complex words and phrases! absolutely awesome! :) <3
