Needed to change camera resolution to max in settings while in the camera app first before running SnapChop to get it to work.

Not only is the app itself hilarious and complete with pretty much any features you'd need for an app of its nature, but when I experienced problems using the app on my tablet, I got in contact with support and two updates were pushed in a matter of days, fixing all of my problems. The help I received was prompt and friendly, and they fixed my issues extremely quickly. Chances are if you have a problem with the app, a quick email to support will clear everything up.
