Typewriter

Visually it's lovely, but it's just a word processor, not a typewriter. Ink is permanent. This app's backspace key deletes text, instead of just moving the cursor back to type over. Sure some typewriters have "correctional tape" (basically a white-out key), but the tape is never the same color as the page, and can fail to obscure the entire letter; so some record of your mistake always remains. Look at Write Only on iOS for a perfect example of typewriter function (though this one's prettier).

This app is cool if you want to only write one page. Otherwise, apparently you have to save each page individually. I didn't know that, unfortunately, and I lost my whole first page trying to get to a new/second one. There are no instructions anywhere, it's pretty stupid. I'm not happy.

I really like the idea of a typewriter app, not for nostalgia purposes but for something that isn't so much a word processor is as it is a writer's tool - an app for writers. However as a writer I will not be using this app until two things are fixed 1 - The option to export pages as PDFs or jpegs. Without this, the whole app is useless. 2 - Remove the backspace and replace with a strikethrough. Typewriters dont have backspaces and strikethroughs help you recognise your own faults

I liked the concept, especially since people dont really use typewriters anymore, constantly on phones, and availability is not great. However, I was typing my story, and when I exited the app, and opened it back up, later in the day, it did not save.That is a definite issue. If the app wants 5 star ratings, that'll have to change. Other than that though, I liked it.

How do you look at the stuff you saved?? And when you want to save the things you type, when it doesn't seem to let you put spaces in between!! (EX: a bff like her.) If I want to save it as that, it would do this abfflikeher!! Get what I'm saying?!

I really like this app and its fun to type with but it would be great to have multiple pages or be able to save in folders. Also it use to have a bell at the end of each line that i really liked can we bring that back.

One thing that could be added is maybe some kind of file where you can have multiple pages in it and switch when ever. It would make life a lot easier.

There are some issues to be solved. One page, no auto-save, when minimized runs the risk of losing the written info, no tab key, no option of saving as TXT. I feel good writing with it, though.

I like to type but when I try to draw it does not work but i almost made a book I would make a book if there was more then one page and If I could draw pictures. Thanks!

I typed a whole page and selected the new page option to continue writing and I lost all my work.NO AUTOSAVE!? Please include this feature in future updates

Its really good! Although I forgot to save all my long progress and I was not retyping that shiz, so I uninstalled it. It can be better though!

Everything was good accept the keyboard. It was a pain beacause it was slow and very hard to use. Please can you fix this in your next update.

I seriously need help on how to open the saved format.... Cant i save it in the format of image im having difficult on how to open thesaved file.

Very nearly awesome. A couple tiny tweeks would make me very happy, and they're just audio tweeks. 1. Make the sound that the shift key makes when being pressed (the carriage holding the hammers is shifting so that the uppercase letters will be the ones landing on the ribbon) 2. make the carriage return sound. This app DOES play the bell letting you know you've reached the right margin..but what's missing is the mechanical sound that happens when you press return (or move the carriage return LEVER) .

It feels like I was in "Schindler's List" writing some good stories down, so anyone would read them.

Has this app been abandoned by the owner? Improve further please.

Typing on this app with a Bluetooth keyboard, and really enjoying the typewriter style functionality. The only issue is one I've seen in other reviews -- that of the letters and words becoming garbled when typing too fast. Probably, that is intentional since it's designed to function similar to a typewriter; but when an idea is flowing out quickly, it's a definite nuisance.

Would be cool if when we wanted to erase there was the olden day wite out and we had to highlight the mistakes also I have to type like a sloth

Even though I read the comments True Love is the name of the story I am righting. I'm able to have the story to my self until I reread it and try to publish it as a class story. I love the app. Its a great app if you ever want to right a story and keep it to your self then go ahead and get this app. I hope that you like it as much as I do. Writing is a great hobby for me and everybody. Any body can be creative and thought full. Please I hope my comment was helpful if not that's okay because it works for me.

It a very great work by the developers and i like the sharing feature, but the text on the pad when typing sometime stop showing especially when you change the font color and size i think the developers gat to look at this problems if they want this innovation to reach it peak.

I really like the look and feel of this app. The only thing is I cannot type fast on it or the keys get tangled and there is option to save this as a text file or other format. Without that option, this is only a typing exercise with no other value. PLEASE fix! This app can be the best with a little mor effort.

It's a really good app for the typewriter feel. I would suggest you increase the colour in the option menu, it's too faded out. Can barely make it out. Just my suggest.

No backspace, just put a correction item like correction pen or paper. More vintage style typewriters. I hope it can save what it did in pdf format.

While the app seemed promising,what is the use of it if I can't access the file in anyway either in text or an image form.

Is there a way to turn this app to work on portrait mode as I am used to typing that way. Otherwise great app.

I love this so much but it has a problem. Whenever I use it the screen goes black. It will show up and when I try to type it will go black again

This app would be great if it worked like it's supposed to. It keeps freezing, doesn't save my work, letters on keyboard vanish...fix the bugs!!!!!

It has a vintage feel to it, plus has great functionality. You can create your own writings, with a touch of nostalgia

The words are freakin too little plus, I don't know how to change the page
