2000 AD Comics and Judge Dredd for Android
The content is superb: weekly Prog, monthly Megazine with collected reprint, and graphic novels. Of particular note is that DRM free backups are available for download via the 2000AD website. However, the app is let down by some poor UX: Having to trawl through catalogs to find content you own or have downloaded is tedious and not saving/syncing reading progress is a major oversight for a digital medium.
Edit: works fine on my new 'phone (it seems I missed a response from the developers previously, it would be nice to get a notification for those!). Not as slick as Comixology but does the job. [Original: Doesn't work on my 'phone. Click 'read' and nothing happens.]
For some reason I cannot download anything, it just keeps saying 'storage is full' when it really isn't! So a bit useless to me. Shame as I have spent money on a prog I can't read
Great content and the app works wonderfully and seems to be improving. Everything is well organized and I haven't encountered any bugs. Ideas for features that would make it even better: -Syncing bookmarks between devices -Search content (so I can find all of the progs with a specific storyline) -Custom lists (so when you're going through old progs to read something specific you don't have to look through them all) -Change storage location to external storage 2000AD is terrific though, and this app looking so good and being so easy to use is one of the main reasons I switched from buying occasional paperbacks to a yearly digital subscription. Whoever is developing this, keep up the good work.
Awesome content, the app itself is improving with better bookmarks and now owned content can be seperated from full catalogs. Its the only comic reader I need. 2000ad rocks. I AM THE LAW!!!!
Now I can get my 2000AD fix every week as is proper!
Why can't we have the option to change storage location to SD card? Recent updates have improved the app but this option is still lacking
Keeps crashing on my phone ...
Can't paste into user or password fields. I use a secure password manager with strong passwords so it means i can't use this app at all. A shame cos I love 2000AD...
Graphic novel sections especially, where books are out of original publication order. Other categories are in no order at all, meaning you can't find purchases easily.
Great app to keep up with 2000ad comics but please add android immersive mode. Need all the screen space available when reading comics on tablets.
Latest build (1.2.4) crashes when trying to download comics
A must have! Was that OK Tharg?
Wish it separated free from paid features.
Rubbish outdated
Rather nice.
Doesn't work on my 'phone. Click 'read' and nothing happens.
Every month for the last 4 months I have had to email customer support about my monthly subscriptions not carrying over. Sort it out Tharg.
A must read for scifi / fantasy / manga / comic book readers
Great app had zero issues with it.
The content is, of course, fantastic. The app, however, needs work. It looks very polished, but lacks basic functionality like bookmarking, and reading progress bars - this means that if you read a lot and get logged out of the app and/or forget which prog you're on - you're out of luck - you'll need to somehow randomly find where you were, reading progress wise and prog wise.
UPDATE 1: Turns out there is an offline mode, but an error was putting me off. Accidentally deleted this. BUT am currently working through these issues with devs. Will update when done. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great content, so so app. We all know the content is fantastic, but this review is for the app. At the very least it needs: 1) A way to view your downloaded library, not hunt through the apps folder system. 2) Offline mode. Ridiculous that I have to sign in to view downloaded content. Not always possible when on metro, tube, plane etc. Both of these are essential when I am paying for content. Sort it out, devs!
I'm a huge fan of 2000ad, so this app is perfect for me. However, I've tried creating a new account and I've yet to receive a verification email, so I can't do anything with it at the moment. If someone from Rebellion could help, that would be great. Hail Tharg.
But very expensive. You can find the prog digitally cheaper elsewhere. UPDATE #2 now that the physical prog has had a price increase but the digital hasnt its a bit more reasonable in comparison. Back issues should be subject to sales... See comixology!
Brilliant app! Can be a little difficult to find the progs you own, add a button to show just the purchased content please. Oh, and a searchable index of stories would be great!

Uninstalled instant I saw price.Being ripped off ain't cool
It is a good app it gives you free books to read and you verify your email so quick
Actual bones of app a little clunky to navigate at first but but we'll worth the effort.
Totally Zarjaz, allows the purchase and subscription of progs using google credit, a must have for any android owning 2000ad fan, splundig vur thrigg!
Oldies and the latest. Still awesome 40 yrs on!
Nearly there. Rotation lock now working. Just needs bookmarking and it's perfect.
Brilliant content on my phone but app crashes Google play store on my tablet whenever I try to install it , it's the only app this occurs with so until it's fixed one star
Love the comic and the app would be perfect. But at the moment, I can only read in portrait. Screen rotation just isnt working on my Samsung Galaxy S2 phone anymore. It works fine with everything else only the 2000ad app wont rotate. Help?
Works well even on my ancient 2012 Nexus 7. Would be nice if in app purchases were same price as on the web store, but no big problem.
It's a way of life
App works great and the contents keeps me hooked for hours!
Always has trouble connecting to the store and often crashes. XPeria Z3
But very expensive. You can find the prog digitally cheaper elsewhere. UPDATE six months on and app is improved but still very expensive, very near price of physical copies and the price never reduces on back issues. Price still an issue.

...crap app. Doesn't work on mobile at all, no way to view only downloaded/purchased content. No panel by panel reading option only full page. But still the best comic book content. Could do with an 'all you eat' subscription and a way to gift episodes to friends (I would like to spend money but you won't let me!)
