Readerware (Books) for Android
Terrific app, consistent updates and excellent support.
"The easiest, fastest" nope not at all. Couldn't even work it. Rubbish app.
I have been using Readerware for books, music and video for years on my home computer. I also previously used the mobile app that worked on Palm Pilot, but wasn't never really satisfied with that version. I really like the new android version. Found it real easy to set-up and transfer my databases after installing the apps on my Moto G. The databases transferred fairly quickly using my home WiFi. The only problem I am working on is trying to store the databases on the microSD in my phone. They are not too big - 4000 books (48MB), 1100 CDs (14MB) and 212 DVDs (3.5MB), but due to the limited size of the internal memory I would like to use the SD to store them.
Very disappointed!!!!!!
This isn't a standalone app. You need Readerware on your computer. This will display a version of your database on your mobile device. Works fine on my Acer tablet (A500). I also keep it on my Samsung 4 phone. It's handy to check while I'm at a used book sale to see if I already have what I'm looking at.
Ignore my previous review, when I said that this app "invites everyone in your Gmail contact list." which was written against the LinkedIn app, but somehow inadvertently got applied as my review to this fine app-suite. These Readerware apps for books, video's and CD's are all working nicely. My only complaint is that the documentation for how to set up the Readerware server on a 24/7 PC or Mac for all three types of databases are not documented very well. And to make it more confusing, the help on their web site conflicts with the help that ships with the suite of Readware apps (with regards to the various TCP/UDP ports for accessing either of these three types of databases, from mobile or from another Readerware installation on another PC or Mac). Also, this complaint has nothing to do with setting the Readerware server so that these three network ports can be accessed outside of a firewall, by a mobile device running these Android apps, or from an external instance of the PC or Mac Readerware apps. I would not expect this company to help with that aspect of remote access to these databases, but that would have been also nice to have.
It won't let me on because of my ip address
Buggy, opaque, and expensive
I have over a 1000+ book’s currently in my library, using this app along with “Readerware 3”; it works flawlessly. I no longer have to print out the entire contents of my library when shopping for additions. In the future all I’ll have to do is export my current up to date file to my device. Love the product, works 100% as advertised.
Sucks
I love having my eBook database on my phone because that's where I do most of my reading. Makes it very easy to find just the perfect book. RW is a great product for the OCD and non-OCD alike.
I really appreciate having my catalog with me at all times.
Love this program on my PC and so glad I can take it with me now on my phone!
Does everything I want or need and does it very well. 1000% better than what I was using.

I have been using this with the desktop program for over a year and I adore it. Syncs easily, and I always have my library list ready.

I currently have over 2000 volumes in my library, and buying more all the time. This comes in SO HANDY when I'm out book hunting, because sometimes I end up purchasing books I already have. Now, all I have to do is double-check with this app before I make a purchase. Its also extremely handy to look over my collection when I'm away from home.
Useless to me. It won't scan my older (10 digit) books. And I have over 1000 first prints.
