APW Widgets for Android
Used to love this widget. Since the latest android update (marshmallow) NONE of the contacts on the contacts widgets even appear. So disappointed! Since most recent update to the widget was 2014, I guess this comes as no surprise. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Just upgraded to a google pixel and the messenger widget does not work properly. I cannot click on a text to see it and respond and there are threads for the majority of my contacts that have a mobile number despite having no text threads. Very disappointed in this. I loved this widget for my galaxy S5.
I really like the widget that allows me to have my favorite contacts on screen all the time. It's super convenient to call or text them that way. But I notice that it gets messed up a lot and when that happens my phone gets hot and the battery drains. I've figured it out so I can catch it now but I shouldn't have to go fix it all the time.
Very convenient to put something on Google Playstore about Facebook's API, but there is a new API and you can certify your app at FB... So I don't see the point of your message.... I think the people who paid for your app deserve an update and at least a reply on their mail/FB message.... Just my 2 cents
FB no longer works either.. Internal viewer for Twitter in timeline widget hasn't shown the conversation in quite a while. Even after the latest 1/17 update It would be nice if the photo thumbnails in the timeline were much larger. Right now you can barely even see that there is a thumbnail

Contact widget on my new LG V20 does not work at all. Used to be great, but there is no support or updating anymore so don't waste your time downloading or paying for this app like I did.
0 Stars ABANDONED APP DO NOT BUY! 0 stars I have emailed this app developer 4 times starting 3 weeks ago. No response. Other apps got hit with Facebook api changes and repaired their app and took the time to respond to my emails. Here is just 1 app that fixed this, fast pro for Facebook . I paid for this app
As of 5.0, the FaceBook widget does NOT work. If you know you have major issues with and app, and you are no longer going to support it, then you should take it out of the market! The worst app and support ever. Why waste people's time?
Obviously the devs have abandoned this great app for some crazy reason. I really hope someone takes it over and gives it the love it deserves. We don't even need improvements...just make it work with lollipop, marshmallow & future android updates!
Twitter widget stopped working yesterday. No updates since and now can't even log in. This needs to be fixed ASAP or I will have no choice but to uninstall and find a product that works. Lousy way to treat paying users.
I use the 4X4 people widget for my favorite contacts. It used to dial them directly, but now, it pulls up a popup asking for the action desired. Even after I choose direct dial, it still pops up an action choice. I don't know what you did, but whatever update you did is awful!
It used to be a great app and worked but now facebook widgets are totally useless... Not working at on even after more than a dozen times uninstalling and reinstalling.... And for the record i have another widget application accessing my facebook news feeds just fine...
Facebook widget does not work. When attempting to login to Facebook through the app, no prompt appears to have you enter your Facebook login information, it will sit on the "loading" message indefinitely. Uninstalling. Tried using on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S; Android version 5.0.2.
dev could fix this but is blaming Facebook when all they need to do is some work to apw. Dev never even updated app to work correctly with lollipop and themes. Said there was a fix coming but no update in 6 months
Gave up on the bookmark widget yesterday having used it for 3 iterations of phones. Does not seem to like Lollipop - Same complaint as others - Bookmarks keep disappearing forcing a log out and log in in Chrome to restore them. Sadly, the native bookmark widget is a kludge.
I used this app previously just for the bookmark widget. Had the best chrome bookmark support on the play store, but since my phone updated to Marshmallow these widgets no longer work. (LG V10 - AT&T)
It worked till last week. The APW Facebook Widget rarely updates the news feeds and own timeline. It doesn't matter if I set up the update interval every 30 minutes or if I update manual, although it stands that the FB successfully updated, it always shows only 1 or 2 new posts in last 24 hours. I tried even to clean the cache or to reinstall the app but it didn't help.
Developers, if you abandoned this application, please let us know. Changes in Facebook API, does not mean anything. You can update your application and problem solved. Please let your users know what you intend to do. That is the least you can do for people who payed for your non working application.
This widget dosent show Facebook at all. It logs me In say updating Facebook and then nothing happens just a blank widget. I don't like it at all. I feel like I've waisted time and money on something that doesn't do what its advertised to do.
I love the widgets and I even purchased the license. Facebook has made the timeline widgets useless but that's Facebook's fault, not the devs. I've seen Facebook battle developers over the years and there's really nothing us poor users can do.
Great app. Used it for years. Bought the license, too. Is their anything APW can do to get the Facebook feed working again or has FB killed off outside timeline feeds for all 3rd party apps??? The FB, Twitter, and calendar widgets are what I use the apw app for. Please work on a fix !!!
Support the new FB API and will rate you 5 stars. As is app is no longer worthwhile without FB Widget Newsfeed. It's been over 9 months without an update. You should delete this app from the store.
Until the issues around themes on Lollipop & the Facebook fiasco are resolved, this app will only get a 1 star review. I see a lot of people who've paid for this (as I have) are having the same issues, with no response from the devs. I cannot recommend this app until all issues are addressed. To the dev: Lying about the Facebook api in the update notes doesn't make you look too good.
Almost perfect. But since Facebook will never work now, its widget should be removed from the code. Further, because I doubt that Google would be such an annoying moving target... MAKE A G+ WIDGET!!
I absolutely love the apw widgets. Switched to a LG G4 and disappointed to see People widget doesn't pull pictures from contacts. Not sure if it is issue with phone or OS but was working on Samsung. Please take a look.
I got this widget just to mark text.messages as read but it doesn't work! What a disappointment. Fix and I'll change my rating to 5 stars!
Used to love this app. Then one day it just stopped working. All the widgets just said "loading". So i just now after a month or so re installed it after your updates and it still says the same thing. Very upset.
What I use is working. A few themes that are my daily go to, are still broken. But I just tried a different theme and low and behold it works. Error loading widgets is likely because the theme is broken not APW.
I've loved this set of widgets for years. Today's upgrade to Lollipop (5.0) informs me that there is "trouble loading widget." Based on my APW experience, this will soon be resolved and I will use this wonderful widget set again. Oh, it doesn't work for Facebook? Who cares, I don't use that crap anyway, and haven't missed a thing!
The Facebook widget stopped working on the 3rd of May! Main reason to use this widget was so I wouldn't need to load the memory hogging and just out right annoying Facebook app. UPDATE: Just read that Facebook changed their API so now no third party news feed scraping apps like this one will apparently be allowed to get Facebook content anymore. Guess it's time to leave Facebook!!!
Been using this for a while, everything used to work, now I can't even use themes wtf, if you're not going to update then remove this sh*t from the play store.
Was a great application. Paid for PRO to get Timeline to do Twitter/Facebook at the same time. The Facebook integration broke because of a change on the Facebook side. Here in the comments I had to learn that, definitely not from the developer. It is not mentioned anywhere and their screenshots still advertise the feature as being included. They advertise it here and on their official website. So One star due to false advertising.
But is slowly becoming obsolete, I only ever used the Calender Facebook & Twitter widgets but now the two socials are not supported so they can force there own very poor advert riddled offerings down our throats ( widgets still available in app) it's kind of a pointless install. Such a shame this dev hasn't seen this coming and diversified the app to compensate. G+?
Got a new phone with OS 5.01. Bookmarks no longer work. Facebook no longer works. Five stars if it gets fixed
Latest chrome update has killed bookmarks widget
Still haven't fixed Twitter widget, won't upload images. Will switch widgets if not fixed since I only use apw for twitter
Another piece of abandonware! They won't fix bugs, offer support for lollipop or marshmallow. Google should remove these abandoned apps from the play store. So people can't pay and waste money on a useless app!
Not much development anymore. I loved this app so much.. though i have moved on to Wizz Widget now. Thanks for the memories!
