Simple Text Editor for Android

Exactly as the title says, this is a simple text editor. It runs much faster than other similar apps I have tried. I got up to 500 lines of text without any slowdown, though that changes when you get into a few thousand lines of text. It also has full encoding options. I've very happy with its performance and intend to use this app regularly.

Looked like it would do what I need. But ago tells me "unable to write to file." Uninstalled.

Pros: ad-free, no unnecessary permissions, reads and writes to and from .txt files (cross-platform editing), fast and functional, multiple font sizes, easy UI, supports Windows line break delimiter. Cons: appearance editor doesn't work on my Note 4 lollipop, can't fine tune font size, scrolling lacks momentum (stops when attempting to scroll fast through a big wall of text).

First impressions are that this is a simple to use, intuitive, good to look at, text editor with a few more options than some others, eg text and background colour, (but misses the option for line numbers). I like that it defaults to where it last opened a file in the built in file picker, saves a lot of time. Issues: ▪ Scrolling is slow - doesn't appear to be able to fling. ▪ Doesn't accept swipe entry from keyboard. ▪ No 'undo'. Apart from these issues, could be very good.

It rarely allows you have full control with your own edited files, simply Open from... Save To....while editing own texts or pasted from clipb. Fairly no ads no spy no huge file install no fuzzy confused menus like many notorious names developers badly targeted today...If would fix its non-working Font Settings but also low visible icons menu and add file last edited data and file size in the list when open and SHARE TO in order to distribute texts in Email I d give it maxim stars! Many thanks anyway

Very nice, one major issue, doesn't support keyboard text predictions.... Predictions are very much useful, but Alas!.... This software doesn't have support for it !!

Works well without asking for intrusive permissions. Does all it should. Excellent+
