Razer Camera

one of the worst cameras phones I ever had since the Nexus 5. all photos appear fine in the lens but the moment I snap a pic all of them appear so grainy. everything else about the phone is stellar which is why I still bought it but as of now giving a bad review for this app until it improves.

The app needs a lot of work slow Mo video, imagine stabilisation aperture and focus controls, camera modes such as panorama. Auto focus needs to be much faster, HDR slows photos down way too much , live photos would also be a cool option

Dont want the pinch to zoom. Let us switch between the 2 camera in the back. Photo quality is poor, other apps e.g camera FV-5 has better quality. Will have to work woth what we get but please just improve the camera software

Coming from an iPhone I love the razer phone except the camera, it's quite possibly the worst smart phone camera I have ever used. Struggles in low light, clear lag when moving the camera around, terrible zoom etc. I'm not even bothered about adding more features, just get the basics right and I will be happy. Razer please fix this, you have a premium phone at a premium price with a terrible camera!

The Razer phone has one of the worst cameras on a modern phone. I hope this app finally fixes that as much as possible but it is truly, truly awful. It makes me wish I'd bought a different phone which is a shame as the rest of the phone is grand.

A lot of these reviews seem confused or are misleading, the actual hardware is really quite good. Great Camera hardware, Great sensor technology and really great dual camera platform. The only thing holding it back is honestly the factory app. Aftermarket apps like the ported Google HDR+ Camera or Bacon Camera offer a much more solid and dramatically improved experience that I'd say classes this as definitely a contender in the 2016/2017 camera space. I've taken some absolutely stunning pictures using these sensors on the Razer Phone simply by using alternate camera apps with better image processing and more feature rich controls. Some rivaling even the best of the best cameras in phones today. So it really comes down to the application you use to fully utilize this phones camera. Absolutely great hardware, poor factory software. Fix that Razer and you may just be able to pull this all back from the depths.

It not as bad as some review say. It has very noticeable frame rate lg in video mode and the picture have good detail but some how lack that lifelike pop you see in other phones. I have kids so a sport mode would be great. I use the HDR mode to get my best shots then edit them with Lightroom. Hopefully the new promised updates negate the need to do this. My biggest gripe is using the 256gb SD card as storgage location isn't allowed in the settings, plus swapping my card from my old phone required it to be formatted... Big pain in the a$$.

If I wanted a real camera, I'd have bought a camera. Not a telephone. This works, "Good enough" for me and I think the majority of males who want good sound and a nice screen are happy with this phone in general. This was never intended to be a photography device. I installed the modified Google camera apk and it's fine now. Personally, I'm happy to see development budget going into what I want rather than squandered on just another camera app. Keep up the good work guys, and don't listen to all the haters, some of us actually appreciate your effort for a generation one beta device actually working even at all. This phone kicks ass. And the camera is fine for Gen 1. I'd rather see the budget go into 3d camera technology rather than trying to remake the wheel. It takes pictures, none of us are photography professionals and are only taking pictures of our stupid cats. Nobody cares about the photo quality of your cat.

Still better off with Google pixel camera app . Those that dislike the camera please understand we support the company for it's first launch. Not Everyone is not perfect at least they promised to make it better but base on software it definitely gets better job done with the Google apk

App is awful. Trying to take a HDR photo takes so long they almost always come out blurry. Coming from an iPhone with amazing HDR capabilities to this is dreadful.

Razer phone flash doesn't work on main camera no way to turn on in app interface. App needs improved, using open camera app.

I Don't Like That All Photo's Are Automatically Connected To Google!-It Would Be Nice To Have The Choice-Or-Option To Choose Between Google-Or-To Have An On Board Gallery With-Out Google.-I Don't Want All My Photo's & Video's On Google

Using this camera with other software is great, but razer needs to optimise this asap! Great phone terrible software atm

Awful!! Still can't tell when I'm using two cameras or just digital zoom.

Literally the worst camera in a phone this year.

Needs to be able to manually enable/disable flash. Needs to be significantly faster when snapping an HDR pic.
