RaysWeather.Com Mobile App for Android
Please stop telling me when I lose and regain data connection. Theres absolutely no reason to alert the user of this and make them press OK.
This is the most accurate mountain weather app! Yea Ray!!
Crucial for all App State students.
Ray's!
If I could read it! Print is so small I have to find a magnifying glass to even begin to read the information. The print will not enlargen with a double click nor a tqo finger drag. Fix this and I will rate higher.
This app is the only way to find out the weather in the high country. You can watch the news all day long but nothing is as accurate as Rays.
Seriously, cmon. A paid app with ads?
Warrensville needs to be an option so I don't have to look online.
Best weather app on the market for WNC. This is as local as it gets! Only suggestion I would have, and correct me if I am missing it, is rather to have an option where warnings, watches and alerts, are alarmed on the phone as they come out, not just when you open the app.
I was excited to download the Rays Weather app, and didn't mind the entry fee at all. However, there are ads in the app which is bad practice for a paid app. No user wants to pay for an app they like and still get ads. Otherwise, the app is exactly what you'd expect from Rays Weather.
Love the app Ray! Any plans for a widget? Thanks!

Good info.
I wish it had the snow man o meter some where . And a better zoomed in radar. Love this app other wise !
Hi Ray. Where's the Beech!? I live there and need it! Thanks.
Happy days are here.
So I have to both A) pay for the app and B) get ads in my face? No thank you. Either/or. I'm happy to pay for a good app, but not happy to paid to be advertised to. I'll adjust the rating if this ever changes.
It's incredibly convenient to have a weather app that forecasts so specifically you can pick your "neighborhood"' of your city and find out a detailed forecast for your location. (Can't forget to mention they cover MANY cities) That feature is essential if you live in the mountains where the weather can be so different just a few miles down the road; this feature alone gets this app 4 stars. The forecasts give you more accurate and frequent updates throughout the day by live meteorologists. By checking RaysWeather regularly you will be comfortably dressed for the day's weather and prepared while they update you to weather patterns that will affect your area. The home page gives you a quick look at your day. One click gives you a detailed breakdown, perfect when trying to plan comfortable clothing for a busy day (watch for the # of golf balls on screen; 1-5 golf ball rating scale with 5 being perfect golf day) hopefully future will bring a widget to replace the built-in homescreen weather on Android devices. Last week Accuweather at 8am said a 65% chance of rain and high of 71. That day it rained for over 10 hours straight, 8" rain accumulation, and the high was 63. This is worth $2.
Not too bad, like other reviewers have said, the text is too small to easily but I'm sure that will be fixed on the next release. (Ray must have fantastic eyesight). I was able to easily change to my town's forecast as well as check the regional radars. The app is very quick to go from screen to screen. The negatives/suggestions for improvement: 1. I prefer to be able to see the radar in motion, this app just shows still shots. 2. Need ability to zoom in on radar, I don't care about seeing the weather in the surrounding 10 states. 3. Doesn't appear to have push alerts, I find them useful on my other weather app. 4. I paid for this app, why am I still subjected to advertisements? Typically, free versions of apps have ads, but paid do not. 5. Wish the location did not have to be manually set. In all, to me, this is a must have app for those in the mountains and foothills of NC. I do not think it is good enough, yet, to replace the main weather app on my phone, missing too many features. I will give this app 4 stars and will gladly add an extra star once I can zoom in on the text and radar.
Overall very nice and performs well. Issues: banner ad at bottom covers up text sometimes making it impossible to read last bit of summary; it would be nice to be able to easily refresh a webcam once you select it; I'd like to see yesterday's photo of the day as well; would be nice to also see the archive data for the current month. Text size is perfect on my phone.
No other weather site understands our local mountain weather like you do. All the features work great. (Previous reviewers needed to probe a little further before making inaccurate criticisms.) Font size is fine for me. Would prefer not to have the ads, as others observed.
Very happy to be able to keep up with Ray's through an app! It is very well done. I don't think the font is too small as other users have said. Awesome job!
It's a very good start and everyone knows Ray has the best and most detailed forecasts for the High Country. That said, push notifications are a must by winter. Also, I understand it costs money to do this, but the whole point of paid apps is to remove ads. That's part of mobile app building 101. There needs to be a free and paid version.
Finally! Ray's Weather in a format that's easy to read and navigate on your mobile device!
Gives you the information you need but sections of information are blocked with ads. When you pay for an app you expect to be relieved of advertising.
Can't navigate, can't zoom in, non functional on my Galaxy SIII. Very disappointing.
So far I love this app, but it's missing one thing I love with my other weather apps which is a widget. Will you be adding a widget to this app?
Text is way too small and makes it difficult to read. Needs work. And no Ray, this is not a fake review. My only complaint so far is the text size. Otherwise, the app works fine.
Couldn't set city for Beech Mtn, can't zoom in and hard to read. Good start.

This is the best weather forecast for the area. No one else comes close.
