too many ads with ads on top of ads behind ads with ads on the bottom

The notifications for traffic are important for me, and I thank HNN for it. But, I can see only a portion of the notification on my phone (Samsung). So it looks like, "Multiple-vehicle crash on H1E..." and it cuts off there. It would be nice to know where it happened. On cell phones, there's not enough space for the whole message on the notification bar. On my IPad, I can see the whole message because there's more space for the notifications. Like what the previous reviewer (Julie) said, when you click on the notification bar to hopefully see more of the message, you are just sent to HNN app website without anymore info about that important traffic message I just saw. Please fix...

Push alerts show up in the notification bar but don't work. Alerts show you 1 line of breaking news and traffic but when you you click on it to try to read it you are taken to the apps home page. There isn't a tab for alerts or any mention of what the alert was about. Since they discontinued text alerts you have to go through the app. Very disappointing!

App should include "Cheap Eats" with Guy Hagi and Augie T.

This app plays as a good idea but it could use some improvements. There's too many stubborn ads. I especially hate the ads in between the story I'm reading. It's frustrating that the commercials play so smoothly as opposed to the news clip itself. ALSO, THERE'S TOO MANY TYPOS! IT KILLS ME! How hard is it to spell check? Seriously, "searching for a mission person?" C'mon HNN. You can do better. And lastly, this updated version does not allow me to bookmark stories like the old version. Bummer.

I have always loved this app. Lately tho, the Live Streaming will freeze up. The audio still works. Was very frustrating during the flooding last Wed! I ended up using my desktop computer, as that works fine. This last update is one I wish I had not done.

New update SUCKS. Slows my phone down and articles are full of click bait links and articles. Looks like buzzfeed. After nearly 2 years with HNN app, I'm deleting it. Just horrible and full of malware.

This beats all da other news apps 4 hawaii n so ez 2 use

Hate new update

Hate the new version. Looks so commercial. Slower response time when moving within the app, previously easy to find items are now hard to locate. App crashes more frequently "unfortunately HNN has stopped working"

Bad app. Notifications not showing up on my android phone even with all settings set correctly.

Looks too much like CNN, liked the way it was.

Changed to same format as kitv app, which sucks too.

Feels like a wrapper app... Icons look outdated. And maybe Material design wouldn't hurt? It looks like some really old app that nobody has worked on it in years. Moreover several links on the front page don't even go anywhere... You're left clicking the link until you realize it doesn't work. Moreover notifications sometimes don't even go anywhere either. It just opens the app. And maybe an in-app purchase option for add-free?

I really like that the public can share their own weather photographs and videos. The one thing that needs changing is the big green dot [ your location.] It's so big that it covers your area. ( Unless you zoom in a lot.)

I always get my news every time something happens: accident, a crime done or an arrest has been done. With the weather reports excellent coverages. And then some!

I'll get a notification about an accident or traffics news, but when I open it up, it just takes me to to home page.

This app kills the battery. I've had it for a couple of years now and seems to be getting worse. I'll just go to the website for now.

The reloading when coming back to the main screen and the ads are a bit annoying but overall everything is fine.

I read this every day. It keeps me in touch with things back home.

I like it, I just moved to Vegas so it keeps me updated about what's going on back home. I'm not a big design critic or a functionality guru, all I need it to do is keep up with the latest news

Before i could watch it in app now it opens another app or webpage to watch the live tv really bummed they dont keep the live streaming in one place

If watching the news and there's an advertisement break, the app video feed gets stuck playing the ad and NEVER returns to the live stream.

So easy to use and good information updated frequently. Love this app to hold me over till the news airs.

Features don't work

The notifications seem to be teasers to get you to open the app and takes you nowhere

Clicked on live feed dosent work. Uninstalled, reinstalled still didn't work

Better than previous versions but still crashes occasionally.

Thanks HNN. I don't have the time to watch any tv. Now i have it "on the go".

It keeps me up to date with late breaking, weather & other interesting strange news.
