RAY App for Visually Impaired for Android
The moment I installed it and added my phone number to it. I noticed weird things happening to my phone. First my phone was sending weird SMS to a random number, secondly during my phone calls it would hangup the phone.
Registered me and sent a text without my consent while demoing. Will report to Google
Marvellous one
I am a Blinde I am using this application I would like to give five star but I wish that this application will be able to read all the text if improvements come added some more futures then I will really like to happy to use it
Its very helpful for visually impaired people!! But still there is some improvement required. As mobile struck while using this app. I request developers to sort this problem!!
Not user friendly at all. Confused interface. Seems the app's sole function is to joybuzz you anytime the screen is touched. Now, we cannot get this Ray mess off the phone. I got it for a friend, but we both found it impossible to figure out. He has partial vision and says just setting everything to max size in regular OS works better for him. Maybe it is the best option available now for someone fully blind, but it has a LONG way to go. I am about to hard reset to see if that will get it to go away.
Very useful
I have been looking for something for my fully blind mother and hoped Ray would be it. While it is very well set up for simplicity and good for low vision folks, it is not user friendly for a blind person. I tested it out and got frustrated trying to find any kind of screen settings and was repeatedly trapped in a loop trying to make the previous screen come back. I didn't even dare give it to my mom to test, she would have thrown my phone across the street! This was a disappointment sadly.
I am blind and used to have problems with communicating with my friends but I can now call my wife without assistance. I would be very happy if ray can also make whatsapp accessible to us.

This suite of apps is the most poorly designed software for Android that I've ever experienced. The phone's "back" key is disabled so navigation is a challenge for someone with good vision. The "app" does not behave like an app since the Samsung "current apps" key does not display it. I'd like to challenge the designers to attempt to use it blindfolded. I'd like to ask them "what were you thinking" when you created the user interface. After about 5 minutes I uninstalled all of this suite of "software."
As a visually impaited person, I found this app to be very diffcult and frustrating to use to say the least! I was really unhappy that I could not get to my other Android apps to make calls, check email, social media etc. I;d be too nervous to ise this app should I find myself in disress and unable to csll for assistance. I felt trapped and stuck,,, there was no tutorial on how to navigate this, which is why I had to uninstall within an hour!
My cousin Jennifer can’t see so I got this app for her last week and she gave me a call today using this app to thank me for doing this. She never sounded this excited before. Its really a wow feeling J
My brother in law is finding it little complicated after I installed it in his smartphone. He has been visually challenged since birth so it will probably take time for him to get acquainted to this whole system.
user friendly and every setting are cool.
Being legally blind, using my cell phone can be trying at times with limited vision coupled with light sensitivity. This app has become my little miracle for being able to stay in contact with friends and family. It does require some patience to use as the wizard can be confusing sometimes as when it is reading instructions parts of the instructions will be missing. But when you understand the basics, the wizard can be easily understood. You may want to consider using a bluetooth or headphones when out in public. The app does have a number of components that have to be downloaded separately. This is good using an older phone that doesn't have a lot of internal space like I do or you don't all of the different components of the app.
She is already learning new things with this app and wanted me to write this review for her to encourage others to get it for those who are visually impaired.
Downloaded it for my friend who has some visual problem and he said this was a great
Well build, beautiful design and it works perfectly!!
It took me about a week to get acquainted with the features but it’s definitely worth considering.
Just what I've been looking for. Thanks.
Perfect for everything,Easy to use. Highly recommend.
Does what I would want it to do and does it simply and easily.
My childhood pal lost his vision 2 years back in an accident and started using this app a month back when I downloaded this on his phone and today he is already doing things independently.
Beautiful app and a wonderful idea and concept.
This is such a brilliant App and so well executed, works brilliantly on phones and tablets.
Exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly, easy to use.
Thank you to the developer. Great app.
I wish it include many languages specialy Urdu and Pushtu
Easy to use. Brilliant design.
Cool app
If right and easy to use - get the standalone device for the full experience.
