Rated People – find job leads

Full of fly by night tradesmen.... qualifications aren't checked, worry if you're a home owner! And for trades some customers are a waste of time and therefore money, rated will not refund you for this.

Unfair for tradesman. I pay for jobs as a tradesman but most Jobs are not real and I can not quote for. When I joined I was told that I could get money back if I didn't quote but now I am being told I can only get 1 job refunded and refuse to refund the rest. I feel conned

I agree James Head. Rated people really have not done there job right. I got a quote from 3 people all 3 mislead me on pricing and materials. I would never use them again.

Terrible app paid to join and then blocked me even though I supplied them with paperwork and a driving licence but still wasn't good enough stay well away from the paperwork I gave them I could open a bank with so I don't know who the f*** they think they are

Worst company I've ever used, they do not check tradesmens qualifications or competency, I've have been out to fix so much work done by rated people's electricians that clearly aren't qualified, please use a company such as local heroes who actively check members qualifications and offer you a guarantee, stay away from rated people the people are not rated at all

Incompetence by RatedPeople lets rogue traders use the site. RatedPeople dishonesty claim to check and verify all traders using the site. The reality is that the site is awash with rogue traders who keep registering on RatedPeople and stealing from new victims as I discovered and can provide evidence of. I have proof that RatedPeople do not check and verify tradesmen as they claim.

I have no problems with the app itself it's the people who post jobs they post a job saying urgently when you phone them no answer or emails and texts and they've just posted it 1 minute ago so what am i supposed to do I've paid for this job which sounds promising and almost every time it's over a tenner just count it as a loss and it's not like it's once in a blue moon it happens all the time and it's waste of time asking for a refund because rated people just don't even acknowledge its a problem then the jobs you might get in contact with your up against two other people who always do the jobs dirt cheap so you find yourself doing the same in the end .

It doesnt work you select a trade but it will not go any further and select a job type. Rubbish

We as a trade as disgraced by rated people company we pay you alot of money for job leads for some jobs it is not possible to contact clients we follow procedure to report leads and request refunds on leads, it is not the tradesman fault for not being able to contact client but we are being penalised because to many request are being made for report and refunds it's not out bloody fault we pay you out money for a lead of the lead turn out to be no good we should expect to get out money back in full but no you dont get refunds ratedpwople keep your money so you have no choice but to spend it on another job tradesmen plese use other means dont pay ratedpeople

It is just a basic app. They have some jobs that, me as a tradesman, I have to buy them. Downside of this ratedpeople is that the jobs are overpriced.. I talk about electrical side. There are people who post leads with a job that appear to be easy i.e. to change a light switch. I have to pay somewhere at around £35 to get the contact details. If it is to get the job.... How much should I charge the client? £35+my labour+ my fuel+ the switch.... come on... seriously? Dear Ratedpeople... get qualified personnel, give reasonable prices for tradesmen, get the people who post the leads to accept by a mean of contract one of them 3 quotations and be realistic. Some of them are dreaming. They say urgently or within 2 days but all that they want is just a quote to see if the friend or cousin overcharged them. Never done a profit with you. Unfortunately.

Over priced leads.

Firstly- there is now no map view on the app, and the map view won't select jobs on Chrome (HTC desire). While I have found this app/site very useful for finding work, I feel that the developers have given all the benefits to the clients. The trades have to pay and put in hours of quoting and consulting work in with no guarantee of work. It is unfair that trades are still charged even if they don't get any return. It isnt mandatory for clients to rate you, and finding out how seems deliberately obscure.

Not enough information about works from customers to make an informed decision and be able to quote. If a job is of a fairly low value and I have to travel to it, I'm not going to travel twice to it just to see it and will quote over the phone based on the information in the lead. Sadly with most leads, I'm unable to do this. Also I used to be able to print out the job sheet for my folder direct from the app. Please restore this. There are duplicate leads too. Surely RP can watch for these and delete one.

Up until now I have made a decent living from rated. I am a multi skilled tradesman. I currently do a lot of roof work. I use every bit of information given to me prior to purchasing a job. You have removed the full postcode. Because of this I purchase less jobs.Because of a few chancers abusing the system you have used a "mallet to crack a nut".The management who have made that daft decision have upset the honest majority. No doubt you will give the usual generic reply.

I DELETED MYSELF OFF IT!, waste money and the customer service is a joke, very rude. Leads are over priced and same jobs but different prices for same budget? Having everyone's pants down, they earn millions but still continue to drain everyone's pockets.

App isnt great as you cannot request a rating from the customer once youve finished the job via the app. Also there isnt a check box option to reject multiple jobs that you do not want and now you can only delete one at a time and must give a reason. Very time consuming and annoying and the funny thing is in this trade time is money and the app and online version is wasting our time rejecting 1 job at a time. Come on rated people get your act into gear

Job leads are far to expensive to buy and the jobs are not realistic prices. Also a lot of time wasters and you don't get to even quote and rated people don't give you your money back, waste more money than you earn. Absolute farce or a company.

Why remove the map view, completely ruins the app please revert

Return to previous edition of android app as the new app has lost the general area of the leads and the map function to find leads has been removed. Makes the app pointless.

Not even able to login with a dot London email address.

Personally I can relate with some of pricing issues however the work I have got from RP has been great. Doing fantastically well from it.

I installed your app just so I could tell you your website is poor. I cannot say I don't want people contacting me now as I've arranged for someone to come. There is nothing to press.

As a Qualified Gardener, Fully Qualified Tress Surgeon. I have to pay £5-50 for each customers description I would like to get in contact with. There could and is lots of competition. I'm Happy being busy from word of mouth. How does one delete the monthly price ? Nothing in TV advert or Description says trader will need to pay to quote ? I quote for free..

The prices are far from realistic pricing, was sent a job request for Hall, lounge, kitchen, bedroom x2 and toilet for £250 which seems to be the usual price for many requests. It had some requests where the tradesman had to supply paint, then there is the cost of the lead, are rated trades doing drugs??? Usual pricing starts at £100 per day plus materials!!!

It's slow u have to click on refresh button to see update jobs.

Hard to upload my work pictures. Customers dont give enough info. An email address from the customer would be good as you cant even visit the customer without paying for the job first.

There are descent jobs here but they are far too much OVER PRICED. Seen a lead this morning for £23.04+VAT to replace 2x lights in bedrooms. For such a lead, if u were to buy it, how much will u have to charge to customer to make a profit? The fact that customer says their budget is £500 DOESNT MEAN they want to spend £500 on such a job. Pls look at the way u price leads again

Today I saw 2 leads for jobs with a budget of £1000 , one was £22 and one was £26 both plus vat? Furthermore the job by description should be charging no more than £500-£600 in each case. Over valued budget equals overpriced lead.

The leads are way over priced, sparse and often with little to no info on them. Certainly not a way to get decent work. Be sceptical.
