Sun Surveyor Lite predicts and visualizes Sun, Sunrise and Sunset positions and times with a 3D Compass! Sun Surveyor Lite is useful for film and photography location scouting, solar panel positioning, architecture, gardening, real estate, Earth Science geekery, and more!
Use the interactive controls to:
- Visualize and plan for the "golden hour"
- Find the time of year and angle to shoot a location at Sunrise or Sunset
- Visualize the Sun throughout the day or through the year
- Study the sun shadow ratio and projection to visualize the shadows cast from the Sun

Super useful when scheduling natural light photoshoots, and I don't just mean golden hour shoots I mean location specific shoots where you need to know when a specific area will be in shadow that's where the VR comes into play.

but couldn't get the compass to calibrate even close to see to accurately. Not sure if the instructions are unclear or it just doesn't work. In any case, was reticent to buy full version without compass accuracy. Nexus 6P.

I downloaded this to check sun position at a location I have never been to around certain time of the day for a photo shoot, but I can only check status of my current location! Which really makes this useless, if I have to drive there to make it my current location. Lol. Cool and useful app if they would allow unpaid version at least 2 locations.

If the full version works like this with more options it will be worth the cost and 5 stars for sure. This being the Lite version I understand it having the horrible looking Ads. Can't give 5 stars to something that ugly. But, I will say this app does exactly what it says. Works great on the Note 4.
