This app does trigger when movement is initially detected, but it does not stop after a period of time or when there is no longer movement, so the storage on the phone fills up quickly. Camera Trap has no way to upload images instead of storing them locally. The screen stays on while in use, so the battery drains more quickly than necessary. There are only two settings and those are the motion sensitivity and how frequently pictures are taken (default is 5 seconds). There are no options for limiting number of images or how long images are recorded or where to save images. The app worked fine for recording (if you just want continuous image capture), but it would lock up when I wanted to view the images. I had to view the images in the phone's gallery app instead. If you have a phone with lots of storage space that you want to use in a remote area without internet or data connection, this may work for you. I think there are better apps out there. I found one that I can view remotely any time and does motion capture better. Just search for "surveillance" apps.
