What is it?

Hail Caesar is an Android application that can create encrypted messages. These messages can be shared using the email application already installed on your device.

Who needs it?

Everyone has the Right to Privacy. Defending that right becomes extremely difficult in the social media age. Once information is exposed it is impossible to conceal it again.

Hail Caesar is a way to protect private communication. There is no mistaking that the message sent was meant to be confidential. The expectation of privacy is made clear through a disclaimer added to the email body.

This message is confidential. It may also be privileged or otherwise protected by work product immunity or other legal rules. If you have received it by mistake, please let us know by reply and delete it from your system; you may not copy this message or disclose its contents to anyone.

Sending a Message

Create a Lock, Export It
Create a Key, Export It
Share the Lock and Key files with your recipient
Send a Message


Opening a Message

Open .hcm file
Select Lock
Select Key
Click Decrypt



What is in the EULA? Why do you have one?

The EULA is listed below. I am not a lawyer; so this is a layman's attempt at CYA [Cover Your Ass]. The way I understand it, exporting encryption outside the United States requires government approval.
