The Rand McNally DriverConnect app allows users to record, view, and track On Duty, Driving, Off Duty and Sleeper-Berth duty statuses on their smartphones, tablets or Rand McNally TND™ Tablets. The Hours of Service timers provide a visual display of HOS metrics. The app also includes a log book with a visual indication of status, and as a bonus, the app also provides access to 10 helpful engine-driven gauges, powered by information collected by the ELD. The gauges include: average fuel economy, coolant temperature, and boost pressure. The app helps drivers to create pre-trip and post-trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
Logs from the app can be sent via email to safety officials during inspections. For a small subscription fee, drivers may access the Rand McNally DriverConnect web portal, where up to six months of HOS logs and DVIRs are stored. Using the web portal, drivers and fleet managers also may view vehicle locations on a map and administer functions such as adding drivers to a fleet.
The ELD 50 plugs into a truck’s diagnostic port. Through a Bluetooth connection, the device sends Hours of Service data to the Rand McNally DriverConnect app. The app automatically syncs with the Rand McNally DriverConnect web services via Wi-Fi or cellular transmission, providing the most up-to-date reports.

This app makes tracking my HOS and completing my vehicle inspection simple. Having all this information backed up on the net has been a real life saver, since I lost my previous tablet. Also, the displays for HOS and my truck's engine performance are pretty cool.

This is my 2nd week trying to use this sevice and there are so many issues with it. 1. Keeps disconnecting from 2 devices I have (rand mcnally tnd tablet and a Samsung tablet. 2. The data is not correct from my truck. 3. Hos no warning. 4. Gauges are NOT customizable like mcnally claims. I'm returning this junk and not buying it again.

If there would be only 1! Cdl driver in the company,and had tested it ,would never bring it on the market. No hrs warning,edit function terrible, no miles added,no location added, no subnote as fuel or load ,unloading to select.may I ask you ,did you got it for cheap from China?is it only to make the fast dollar with trucker? This software is so bad it cannot take advantage of your own tablet or your own GPS software!!!!! a standalone app parallel to the running GPS is a great joke!

Do not purchase the ELD50 and try to use this app. I have been testing it and it does not create correct logs. I am driving down the highway and the system, on its own, changes my duty status. Also, you cannot manually put yourself into drive status as their interface will only do this change automatically. Other competitor's software and interface allows for driver input for driving status, and the system that is connected to the truck then confirms this information. Also, the Bluetooth does NOT reconnect on its own like other competitor's systems, leaving the driver to constantly reconnect to the Android system being used. All in all, a very substandard system and app that is just about worthless. Invest your time and money into other options. Unfortunately the other options are more expensive, but they WORK, and you get what you pay for.

App constantly loses connection with hardware. Contacted customer service on 3 occasions to resolve the issue with no resolve. Very dissapointing from a reputable company like Rand McNally. Presently seeking a new approach to elogs.

App doesn't work just like the Elogs they have. Randal McNally should stay out of the E log business and stick to what they are good for Atlas and GPS. Just through out my TND log. Going to people net

There is still a lot to fix and implement.......Device is in BETA stage.....i will be more than happy to be Beta tester and try to lead Developers in right direction.....
