About Widget What and When Free
What and When is a widget displaying your agenda. It reminds you about your next appointments, tasks and anniversaries in a scrollable list. What and When is available for phones and tablets.
- Appointments are retrieved from your different Google calendars.
- Displayed tasks are your Google tasks. They are retrieved from the free application GTasks.
- Birthdays (and anniversaries and other events) are retrieved from your contacts list.
What and When is completely customizable. You can choose the period to display (from 1 day to 1 year), to display or not the appointments, tasks, birthdays or anniversaries, and many other options related to these events (private appointments, overdue tasks, tasks with no due date, etc...).
You can have many instances of What and When on your home screen. You can configure each instance separately : for example one for appointments, one for tasks, one for a given calendar, etc…
There are 2 different display modes : normal and compact. The compact one is more like the previous versions of What and When.
A status bar reminds you the number of active events for today and for the period that you have defined.
Each event is a shortcut to the right application : calendar, GTasks and contacts.

Pros: Easy on the permissions. Works with aCalendar. Small widgets, too. Cons: Deceptive screenshots show paid version features, this one has almost no settings at all. Can't influence refresh period, either. Please make the app icon disappear, it's pathetic and nobody likes to waste slots in there.

Good widget. Can view calendar events and tasks together with a nice interface. Will be 5 stars if there is an option to show the labels and description in 1 line only, so that more events/tasks can be shown within the block.

Love the look but won't work on galaxy tab if you choose a larger widget task bar won't display, no option to choose larger font or task buttons

nice try.uninstall.tasks & cal NEED2b 2GETHER. i DID like 'total agenda lite' better,but that1 wasn't as goodas 'calengoo' which iBOUGHT & adore .^_^.

Where do appointments come from if not my calendar? Do I have to use one of the 3 task managers?

would use it but birthdays show up wrong for linked contacts, it shows one for each individual contact vs just one. Otherwise 5 stars

On one hand, nice look. Like contact pics in event. BUT, free android agenda widget & calwidget give more customization incl. Sizes, and look-ahead.

Finally found a calendar widget that isn't completely overcooked. Clean look good functionality.

I'm young & default color impossible to read & why would I just want one calendar viewed, not gonna spend for one when free 1 hard to read

I like the fact it uses the default calendar app However not really looking to paying to see whether this is really good or not. The pictures do not show if I can customize it the way I like it. I also do not like that or needs specific todo apps rather than using gtask data
