Ad-Dukhan (Arabic: سورة الدخان suratu d-Duḫḫān, "Smoke") is the 44th verse (sura) of the Quran with 59 verses. The first verse is one Quran Muqatta'at, a combination of letters that appears at the beginning of several chapters. Verse 37 mentions the people of Tubba, the interpreter explaining that this refers to the people of the Sheba. The word dukhan, which means 'smoke', is mentioned in verse 10.

Whoever recites Ad-Dukhan (44) on the night of al-Jum'ah, 70,000 angels will ask for forgiveness for that person until morning. "If anyone recites Surah Dukhan at night he will see the next day while 70,000 angels seek forgiveness for him . "

Hazrat Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu reported the Messenger of Allah. Sallallahu alaihe wasallam said, "If anyone recites Ha-mim Al-Dukhan every night, seventy thousand angels will apologize to him at night." (Tirmizi)
