For those who are familiar with western instruments like Guitar or Piano, getting to know the world of Carnatic ragas and Hindustani ragas is now made easy. Raga Master helps you visualize playing patterns for Indian Classical ragas on the Guitar fret board or on Keyboard instruments like Piano and Harmonium. With an exhaustive list of over 1000 ragas, Raga Master is all you need to explore how any raga sounds, and also figure out how it can be played on a guitar or piano.
Learning ragas, made simple: Just select the raga you need from the list, and you immediately get to see where each of the notes appear in the instrument of your choice. Automatically generated playing patterns ensure that you can start playing the raga right away, without worrying about how each raga note maps to the western notation and this makes the app a perfect companion for those experimenting with fusion or world music.
All the Ragas you need : Get started with a list of 35 popular ragas for free, and then decide if you want to purchase additional ragas that include the fundamental ragas (the 72 melakartas & The 10 Thaats) and also the complete list of Hindustani & Carnatic ragas
Sound playback : You can also playback the pattern and hear how the raga notes sound. The app will play the displayed raga notes one by one following the vakra structure. (This is just a literal playback and does not simulate the "feel" using gamakas, pakads etc). Note: needs an in-app purchase
Compare ragas with western scales : The western scales tool let you get a note-by-note comparison of any raga with 12 of the standard western scales. This helps highlight the note and interval commonalities that allow you to try out fusion music. Note: needs an in-app purchase

An app for raga without sound is like buying a radio without speakers and hoping to hear a song. The worst part is, to get sound enabled one has to pay Rs 300!!!

It provides to choose root as per your scale of the raga. I am waiting for more raga to include in the list...like raga Bhairav etc

Really its HIGHLY USEFUL for the beginners for both Karnataka and Hindustani learners. Pls furnish, if possible, sound notes along with the reeds. Don't hesitate to DOWNLOAD if u wanna be a classical musician.
