Until last week I'd have given it 4☆. Then it stopped downloading new comics.

Double tap comic to get alt text. Works mostly. It's free.

This one have the features the way I want them.

Very tardy to get latest comic.

Missing an update function, new comic is available via the website but not visible in this app.

I have to wonder though - has "gounder" ever read xkcd? Complaining about the messages that pop up...wow. Hint: those are part of the comic originally

The interface is easy and simple and I like how you can download the comics right to your phone.

Comics onto the sd card makes this the best reader. Xkcd ANYWHERE.

I love almost everything about this app, except it does not install on SD (Cartoons are saved on SD). I'd like a button to download all cartoons.

Very nice! Zoom buttons more than welcome.

Would prefer it not to sync, however a great download all feature.

The download feature is great, though I would like it to automatically sync and alert for new comics. Nice, minimalistic interface.

I love this app. Certainly the best xkcd viewer. 5 stars when the files save to 'xkcd' instead of 'files' so my image gallery looks neater.

Pops up random messages while reading a comic. The guy who made this thought it would be funny

Works really well, apart from the interactive ones.

There are some comics that cause app to crash everytime. For example everytime I open #1331 the app crashes.

Allows you to quickly and easily browse all comics in list form ( which is something a lot of other xkcd apps don't have), and mark favorites

Pretty great. Just needs a Refresh/Update button, and to not save with all of the camera pictures.

This app loads a higher res version of the larger comics like 916 so you can actually read them

Other xkcd Browsers are upwards of half a day late on posted comics. This one is always current. Interface isn't quite as polished though.

Good for the comics, but you might consider doing what-if.xkcd too (the other xkcd app does, but i like the UI of this one better). Also, are dirty comics not shown? (Ex, comic 940 is about sex but the one inside this app is another 5-minute comic?)

If I use arrows to go back and forth between comics, it freezes or I get an "error - force close" message. I have to use the back button, then select the next comic from the menu. I'm tempted to just uninstall and find a different app.

@Michael comic 1037 shows a different comic depending on what browser you open it with. It's not a bug

Works well enough, but some UX improvements could bump it to a 5 for me. - Swipe left/right to change comic - Allow downloading of a comic as an option rather than the default (my devices all have fixed storage, not SD cards). - A slide-up pane at the bottom of the screen which presents the alt text and save to disk button would certainly be prettier.

Works ok for a few minutes. Just double tap the screen for the pop up text. But now crashes on every third or fourth comic. Original Droid.

comic 1037 is just showing comic 1036 with the ALT text of comic 1037.

Excellent app. All it needs is a widget for the homescreen for tablet users, similar to the FML and UrbanDictionary apps. 5 stars.

Buggy, crashes often when network connectivity is poor. The comics in the Gallery are annoying. "XKCD Browser" by Floern is better at being this app.
