"Service Tax Act 1994" is FREE APP providing detail Section-wise and Chapter-wise information on Service Tax in India. Service Tax is a tax imposed by Government of India on services provided in India. The service provider collects the tax and pays the same to the government. It is charged on all services except the services in the negative list of services. The current rate is 12.36% on gross value of the service.

First of all there is no service tax 'act'. Service tax is levied on the bases of provision of Finance act 1994. Secondly the provisions are not updated

You have included the Finance Act and the ST Rules. There are several other essential Rules (Valuation, Cenvat, etc ) and Notifications (25/2012 , 26/2012, 30/2012, etc ) without which the information made available (which is really good ) is incomplete. Looking forward to seeing improvement.

Keywords not highlighted in case of search as in your Income Tax Act app, the app is not updated with the rules such as point of taxation rules place of provision rules etc,
