RaceDroid Pro GPS OBD2 Dyno for Android
I installed this app in my 10" tablet and compared it with the local racetrack drag strip racing equipment. It is so close that it can be regarded as accurate. (timing was spot on and the speed was 1km/h lower than the timing equipment) I also use the app with my Sony Xperia Z5 compact, but the phone is so slow you cannot use the results.(0-100km/h is over a second slower than the actual time) I guess the processor in the tablet is just superior enough to record accurately. Excellent App.
Last year on a Professional Mustang Dyno in Joliet, IL my car pulled 402 HP and 357 ft-lbs of torque. This app after calibrating had my car at 398 HP and 354 ft-lbs of torque. 1% gap between this free app and very, very, very expensive dyno time! I love it! Wish it could do landscape mode.
I have developed a True hybridturbine air to water Intake system. My car is rated at 252hp 262torque. After i installed my system i couldn't understand all of a sudden I'M smashing alot of the higher performance cars and even taking Ecoboost trucks of the line dam wtf then i found this app it has changed my life. 89.16 HP@330rpms 518.00torque@330 rpm. At a 100 my results were 373hp@4740 rpms 413.00torque@4740 rpms wtf 80 to 120 hp gained and i have invented the holy Grail of air intakes systems thanks.
Saving and deleting runs very unintuitive, almost impossible. Back button exits app instead of going back in app. Also freezes a lot.
Locked up and froze while accessing the menus on first use, could not be restarted without restarting the entire phone
Crashed never to open again on S7
Accuracy was great when setup correctly. Mph splits really help in tuning Polaris RZR CVT.
Fairly simple, great selection of settings, very intuitive and no bugs!
If (1) you are able to obtain every value possible for your vehicle, such as frontal area, drag coefficient, accurate weight, and (2) you understand EXACTLY how to operate the program, you can get a decently accurate wheel horsepower (WHP) reading compared to a real dyno pull. The only drawback is that Racedroid currently can't save multiple profiles for different vehicles.
Latest version of the app works great! Thanks!
Nice app very detailed information
Will this app really tell me how much hp my car is pushing? ?
Attempted to get this to work multiple times. Got the timer working once but no results.
I have a 91 crx si. Entered car specs. App shows times consistent with manufacturers specs. However, 370+hp reading is WAY off. Found that even when switching units to standard, drag coefficient and frontal area still require metric entries. Be sure to convert for accurate readings. After correcting my mistake I get accurate whp readings. 80hp at the wheels. Love this app !
Very confusing interface before you get used to it. NEEDS an audio que to alert driver when it's ready so you're not staring at your phone puzzled. Please clarify how to find your results after a run with a larger/highlighted/something results section.
I tried this app on a number of runs. It records +- 5seconds from 0-10km/h under acceleration with a fast car and then .25sec intervals from 20,30,40,50 to 60km/h and then a slow 0-100km/h (+- 11sec)but a time of +- 14,5 sec for the 1/4 mile. On slow cars it take +- 2sec to 0-10km/h and then quicker after that. Is the engine of the tablet it is installed to slow to respond in the beginning ?. Also is the 1/4 mile time independent to the 0- 100km/h as it appear to be more or less correct as is the times for other distances too? Can the developer maybe respond to this?NB: I had runs where the response of the timer appear to be correct as it matched the manufacturer,s claimed times
Completely nonfunctional. Please remove this app from google play. And, Yes, other GPS and acceleration apps work perfectly on my phone.
Apparently my supercharged eclipse gt has 60 hp. Yeah right!
Not stable
As others have noted, no data gets logged. Said it was ready but then wouldn't show me any data after I stopped. Not sure what's up but this is really not functional at all.
It's amazing how accurate this app is once set up correctly. It took me a while to figure it all out but this app is brilliant. Amazing that a phone can produce hp results like this. Tested on a mini cooper with 115bhp results showed in third gear 115.5bhp.
Useless... no info gets recorded. Takes forever to be ready. Having a button to make it ready and go would make it much better
Dont even record data waste of time dont bother downloading it....
This app is exactly what I am looking for. I just wish it would actually work at all.
Seems to kind of work in a normal street car, but letting it fly off the launch control on slicks with an X275 car makes it shut off every time.
Apparently my supercharged eclipse gt has 60 hp. Yeah right!
Keeps crashing
Not stable
Doesn't work
My only issue is that all dyno graphs plotted against rpm should have the intersection point at 5252 rpm. Horsepower is torque x rpm / 5252. That means the torque and horsepower curves mathematically have to cross at that rpm if the engine can spin that fast. I am getting erroneous crossovers from time to time but the app is solid otherwise.
Race motor
Used it one time, Didn't like it
Everything appeared to be working but would not log anything
For the people who say it doesn't work either you drive a little civic rice burner or has an old phone or both.
Can't get the green light (or any light at all) to stay on. Tried a few different locations with the same results. Tried 4 0-100 runs, it did nothing. It doesn't seem to pick up acceleration for me at all - and my car does better than 5 seconds to 100. Checked the accelerometers and location services, all working OK. All this app does for me is drain my battery.
Doesn't work won't record times
Takes forever to sync if it does
The start is kinda frustrating,be nice if it started when you moved &my gps sticks on after I close app. Otherwise great, pretty accurate, track tested
Sacma sapan olcum yapiyor.. 60 la gidiyorum 30 gosteriyor.. Denemeye bile deymez..

Pretty accurate computation..Try a smooth rolling start use a gear tall enough so that the system will have enough time to analyze it. A gear that can run up too 100-120kph before revv limit. Don't revv your 1st gear hard, just settle for that tall gear in a low 1500-2000rpm and just puch till revv limit. But before you run. You just have to know how to input the right frontal area, drag coefficient and other stuff. Make sure there is little or no wind when you run it.
