RaceChrono Pro for Android
I think it's a good application, but it would be better if you didn't have to close things like the graph pane to see the video. The graph pane should be optional.
Lots of great features, very useful. Any way to overlay the real time track info while driving though? Would be very helpful for new runs
Love the app. Just wish you could record custom Canbus data.
Great app, but I've given it 4 stars because of the long wait for the acceleration testing part which is still not ready.
I used the free version on track once. But The Green Hell deserves the pro version :)
At last! Heart rate monitor! Can you add ANT+ compatibility? Been waiting years for this. One small suggestion, but very important. Can you make the background green when I am faster on a session and red when I am slower? So I can see it with the edge of the eye, without looking at it directly? Thank you for your hard work
Excellent lap timer with video overlays!
I have been using Racechrono Pro, weekly, since June of 2015. No matter if I'm on a very small kart track, or full-sized road racing course, ease of use, pairing options with the outboard Bluetooth GPS, in app functionality, all excellent. The ability to overlay various graphed data channels is very nice. I had a hardware issue and the support I received from the applications creator was in itself was worth what I paid for the app over a year ago. Great training tool. Couldn't be happier!
Please add wifi sjcam action cameras support in an already top notch app. Thanks for this tool you provided us. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic job done by the author. Works perfectly. I have managed to get quite a few other people to change to using this app from using a different one.
Great for real analysis of different lines, braking and turn in points between laps overlaid on each other. Not quite as good as a timer while on the track as Harry's lap timer but more intuitive and useful for data analysis afterward. I usually have both running at the same time for this reason. Unless your race is not going to be on TV or your at least trying for a national championship then it seems hard to justify anything beyond this. A external GPS and OBD II are a must for this to be worth using.
Worth every penny, start it up and it can tell when ur at the of the pit lane and starts timing
Used with a tablet mounted to dash to show laptimes during endurance racing. Very reliable and accurate when compared with the car transponder
Second year that iam using the app! This app will make any track videos e look like a professional video with data. Very easy to use and very acurate specially iff you use external gps antena. And even buying a external gps antenna you will save money compare with another options. From far the easiest and de best lap timer i seen!
I use it with my OBDLink-LX, XGPS160, and GoPro Session and I love it!
V good app. Works with gp session
Now it is easy even for a hobby driver like me to get good quality data and overlaid video from my race circuit advantures.
Good working lap tracking and fantastic analysis functions. Nothing compares to the analysis available via this app. It even gets better with new versions
Everything was as expected. Really satisfied with its performance, functionality, and accuracy. But recently, hit with error message "application error 6: contact developer"
Pretty descent app for the money you pay
a truly remarkable app. does *exactly* what it says on the tin. rare bugs are always fixed by great support. i used a samsung s3 lte, a gopro 3+black and only internal sensors and got picture-in-picture overlays to make a great video. a genuinely fantastic app that produces great data for amateur racing and track days (my s3 will only do hardware up to 720p for PIP so i set the gopro at 720p60wide non-protune just in case)
I have been using this app for about a year and it has been excellent. It took some getting used to and playing with on making tracks, but once you get it down, it works excellent. The developer is very responsive, replies to questions and concerns quickly, and is always working to improve it. I love using it with my hero 3+ for autocross.
I think it's a good application, but it would be better if you didn't have to close things like the graph pane to see the video. Tje graph pane should be optional.
The app devs deserve commission from GoPro. This app got me to buy my Hero4. Convinced 3 other friends to buy the pro version of the app and GoPros. We love comparing our splits.
Thank you!
Great App, works perfect. Only defect: It has no autostart. Sometimes it is very difficult to be concentrated on your race and press the récord button at the same time. With this feature I would give it a 5.
How much value this app has without GPS? Probably 0. Every time I start it, it tells me I am in Daytona and gps can't lock. Waze, gmaps can't lock until phone turned off. HTC One M7
unbelievably good. i did find one minor glitch, when playing back a recorded run, it plays slightly slower than real time. about 5 seconds difference per minute. in other words: playback is at about 90% speed, not real time. I tested this on two different devices. * Playback within the app, and no videos recorded.
Used it at Thunderhill with a Droid razr in my suit and a GoPro on the tail - awesome video editing to sync the data and the exported overlay looks very professional
What a great app. Got another 3 racers to use it.
Combines all data sources, and provides a very nice ui for analysis.
Now it is easy even for a hobby driver like me to get good quality data and overlaid video from my race circuit advantures.
So far so good, but wondering can I connect to my vems ecu for engine readouts via bluetooth. As I understand vems is compatible with AIM protocol whitch is compatible with CAN. Can someone shed some light on that matter?
Like like like
The app just works. It connects to the GPS and OBD without needing to fiddle with it--which is invaluable when getting ready for an Autocross run or track session. Having the money channels immediately available for post session evaluation is great. The app is actively supported and I can't wait to use the new GoPro control.
Only app with go pro control that's not buggy.
This works brilliantly with a Garmin Glo for trackdays. I love the features that let me analyse each sector or add video to the data.
Tried them all.. Paid for all pro versions... This app is the best... Best details, best data, no hassle video, waiters to modify an existing layout and data points. Just looking for ODBII wireless hook up.... They have Bluetooth
Actually works with active support. Video can go directly to sd card. Data overlay and multiple and scrolling timeline make it easy to study laps and find room for improvement.

Sometimes it forgets to record laps and ui is really cluncky edit: I appreciate your reply, I'd be hapoy to reconsider my review if the app improves. My main problem with ui is that I need to always select a track every time I get back on track. Why can't it just default to the last track of the day? How many people do drive more than a track a day? If gps is so bad that my times won't be recorded it would be nice to know so in advance, or at the very least after I finished my session. The idea of a session is nice, but these things are called track days... It would be nice to be able to group, compare and export data by event. Also grouping by track (using older sessions from same track) would be nice.
