WHY QUICKTRACK CHICAGO?
QuickTrack Chicago is the only app that has CTA Bus Tracker, CTA Train Tracker, Metra, Pace Bus Tracker and Divvy all presented with a material inspired UI. My goal is to provide a free, simple, ad free, premium feature lock free experience to let you quickly check your favorite CTA/Pace bus or morning Metra station without digging through tabs, windows and UI's loaded up with data. Open it up, you're presented with beautiful images of Chicago while you select your favorite route or station and instantly see where it is and when it's expected. No excessive permissions required to use this app. External storage access to save PDF's from CTA and Pace schedules and network access to contact the various transit services.

This app is designed and used by a near daily Metra and CTA commuter. Please feel free to contact me with any suggestions, comments or issues. I love feedback and more often than not will implement your suggestions. Regardless, I will respond within a few hours.

One-stop-shop for commuters! Been a user for well over a year. The developer is the most responsive I've had the pleasure of working with on inquiries and issues I've experienced! This app is a must-have! Can't get any better than this for info on Chi-town's train and bus schedules!

Here was my last review: "In my personal opinion this is thee best or at least one of the best apps for travel in Chicago. It has everything all in one place, even pace and Metra which is often very hard to find real times arrival estimates for. I use this a lot now." My current review has changed a little. I regularly get "no scheduled trains" when trying to view Metra train schedules. I would've given this app a 5 when I wrote my last review. N

You seem pretty responsive to 1 star reviews so here goes. Since about the beginning of the year bus arrival times have been wildly inaccurate. I frequent the 9, 18, 73, 50 and 60. I even get the "No scheduled" reading on the 9 which runs 24/7. Again, this only stated a short time ago and prior to then all was pretty thumbs up. Not sure what's happened. Also, today the app asked me if I wanted to download the update. I said sure! I was routed to Google and there was no update available. Getting bus arrival times, I imagine, can be pretty tricky but screwing up the arrival time of your own update?? Doh!

It reported the wrong time for Milwaukee West line and I missed my train with 4 other people. Said train leaves at 8:40 but train left at 8:29 PM.

App works great. No need to try any other one. Easy to see past. Current and future trains. Would love to see capability of delay alerts added.

wow, a well done app without excessive rights or ads. thank you! Thanks Mark, the suggestion I have is an optional alarm (with setable default) to wake you up when you're approaching your stop.

So far it has been great. I live across the street from a bus stop, now I can sit inside my house until I know the bus is almost at the stop, very accurate so far

This app is the worst! Also problems with green line Ashland stop. The app has no clue about Chicago.

Being the winter I time my walk to be at the Pace bus stop couple mins before the bus arrival time. Previous apps I tried were off by 10 to 12 mins. This is a considerable amount when its freezing out. Great job! Very cool images on the home screen also!

I've tried most of the other apps. This one is by far the best. It's simple yet can be very in-depth if you want. Fast, accurate, and very easy to use. It's very light so it won't use much memory if you have a semi smartphone like me. Well done Mark!!!!!

Its hard to improve on a 5 rating when it keeps getting better. This app is worth it just for the views of the city & surrounds; accurate data always. The transit info is great too. Plus Metra, noting beats it.

Y70%
by Y####:

I have used several of these and find this one to have all of the right features and lacking nothing.

Y70%
by Y####:

When opening i see a picture to half way and the bottom half has the stops or busses. The problem is that the switch from half to full screen is buggy constantly going up and down missing scrolling and flinging busses or stops nearly impossible. There should be a way to force full screen app the time.

When I was new to Chicago, I was very much dependant on a guide. But after I downloaded this app, I became self-reliant in finding places and their direction. Though it's the best app, it can be supper with more updates.

Being somewhat new to the city and depending on public transportation... this is the best one I have found! I am trying to figure out the favorites option- won't let me click it

Y70%

being able to check three bus routes instantly helps me make routing decisions that get me to my destination quicker. the fifth star will be for when the app can make those decisions for me.

The visualizations of current bus locations is spot on, and I can't imagine a better app for the CTA. Seriously, download this.

I've been using this app for over a year now and have generally enjoyed the usefulness of it. It has the ability to set favorite stops for quick lookups and you can look at route maps multiple ways if you're not sure which stop you want. Finally, Mark does an excellent job of keeping the app up to date and dealing with bug reports. I just wish there was a donate button!

Y70%
by Y####:

I attempted to track my bus the app said that my bus would arrive in 20 minutes. The bus arrived in 1 mintue. I had already started walking to find an alternative route. This app is not accuate.

Y70%
by Y####:

I figured out the problem. The android buttons are now white with a clear background and cover about 70% of the last line in the app's route lists. I think you may want to add a spacer at the end of your lists to prevent this or make the route list be a separate 'block' from the android buttons rather than scrolling under the android buttons. Basically, I cannot select the last line in a list, which just happened to be my metra line. When I select the icon for my route, hits the return button and exits.
