Quicken for Android
This is a great companion app for the desktop version. I use it to enter expenses on the fly with pictures and when I'm ready, the desktop version is perfect for handling the heavy lifting. I've tried every other finance software out there and so far quicken is the one I keep coming back to. Please keep improving and keeping up with the industry!
Same problem for 6+ months: Cannot login, even though I have a valid (new) Quicken ID and password. I paid for the 2018 desktop version -- on top of 20+ years of previous versions -- and this is the support we get? Dismal. I hate hate hate HATE Quicken, but have yet to find a standalone program that does everything I need it to do.
Cumbersome and clunky. Maps rarely works. Recent transactions aren't. Annoyingly fills in Payee with garbage that you have to back out to type in correct name. About the only useful purpose is you don't have to be at your machine to enter data. Quicken support is useless.
Mobile problems since updating to 2018 subscription model. Won't be upgrading next year. App used to work great. Now it does not work at all. Keep deleting register to reset state and only works a couple of days before going out of sync with everything.
Quicken is the biggest quagmire of an app I've ever encountered. It used to be one of the best but at this point it barely works. This mobile app looks pretty but is not really useful; the desktop app is shoddy but I'm stuck with it because there's nothing else quite like it. About the only thing you can count on--even after telling it never to remind you again--is the damn pop up trying to sell you the latest edition.
Balance doesn't match with desktop, very limited in what you can actually do with this app. Account connection errors even when the desktop is connecting just fine. I would pay extra for a full featured app that just works. Just uninstalled and had to stop accounts from syncing. Every time it synced it would change transactions on my computer to the incorrect amounts. Google search shows this is a common problem.
Upgraded from 2016 to 2018. Effing nightmare. I thought I was going crazy constantly having to log in on my computer and the mobile app saud I don't exist at all due to the Intuit issue (THAT I RESOLVED ON MY PC). THIS. IS. DRIVING. ME. CRAZY. Refund please.
Receipts captured w android phone are unreadable due marked resolution reduction when uploaded despite complaints dating back 6 mo. Captured image w as fine. Broken thought process. No automatic interpretation so transactions still very tedious manual process.
App doesn't give running balances like it does on the desktop just total balance. App won't display correct balance. seems to be off by ten dollars.desktop app shows the correct balance. Even after syncing Mobile app won't show the correct balance. Constantly have to re log in like you're just starting up going through the setup. It's getting old And I'm looking for an alternative app.
Alert and Investment cards on update screen should be removed if it is empty. Add a simple button for adding transaction on main page. This app needs lots of work. How can you expect to spend $80 on a software with a basic mobile app?
More often than not when I try to use this tells me to go home open it up on my desktop and I can't log in to this so I find it completely useless. Just too inconsistent sometimes and let me login sometimes it won't.
App is terrible, but has potential to be good. Limited ability to create/modify transactions, difficult to navigate. Needs to be more similar to desktop application. DISAPPOINTING that I upgraded ($$) from older, better version, just for the mobile App & it's almost USELESS.
I haven't been able to sync my data since I updated to Quicken 2018. The only time it updates is when I reset the data from the desktop. The mobile app is useless except as a viewer.
This app works very well with expenditures, but it is weak when dealing with deposits. Deposit data doesn't sinc well with full version. Fix that and I give you 5 stars.
1/25/18. This app worked for a while. But the last update now will not let me log in. A complete waste of my time. I wish someone over at whoever now owns this software fixes it soon. This use to work fine. Now all I get a a blank screen. The new owners of quicken, "Quick" to brag about making this program better, but sadly all they have done is made it useless.
Quicken app is close to useless. Shows only accounts in 'home' currency so gives only a partial picture. Cannot show daily gains/losses by security. Do not waste your money.
Instead of trying to sell me a 2018 version how about fixing this app so that budgets work and transactions can be deleted and offline transactions are saved? Why isn't this a stand alone app?
The app doesn't sync well to my accounts. I've tried a variety of fixes, no joy. Would be great if the information matched what is on my computer. Since it doesn't, its pretty useless.
Was working as described until a few days ago, though not the most elegant app. Now it never proceeds to the login screen, just hanging on an empty screen.
It's obvious that the developers of this app don't use it on a daily basis. If they took the time to use their own app they'd understand which features are lacking and which bugs need to be squashed. For example, when adding a transaction from a merchant that you frequent, the app forgets the last used category. Why not have the app suggest the last three categories used at a particular merchant? The app logs you out when it losses connectivity for whatever reason. The app takes too long to sync transactions which is a problem when you're standing in line somewhere and have to wait for the app to update before you can enter a transaction. Sure you can enter a transaction while it's syncing but then kicks you out of the transaction you're entering once it's done syncing. Very frustrating.
I have now updated my Quicken to 2017 & 2018. I had issues in 2017 that I had not been able to correct. I therefore when 2018 became available upgraded to the latest Quicken Program available. Unfortunately, the error I had been receiving in 2017 continues in 2018. I asked for a refund but have not heard anything from them to date. I spoke to someone recently but again they did not address the refund I have asked for. I will have to call again and wait to speak to customer svc. I was very pleased with the version I had prior to 2017 I think it was 2015. I would like to go back to that version but do not know how to. My account is so messed up right now I have had over drafts due to the money being out of sync. I have been using Quicken for 8 years now I just updated my home computer to 2016. There have been huge improvements from the first program. They keep up with what the customer wants and desires and make it easy for anyone to use. I have tried some of the other products just to see what else is out there and came back to Quicken every time.
At it's core, the concepts are there... Add transaction, categorize, etc - but there's a really good chance you're also using desktop version of you're using this app, and there communication between the app and desktop is NON-EFFING-EXISTENT. Basically it goes like this:. Download transactions on desktop, fix names and categories that should have already been fixed, realize that mobile inputs are missing, go to mobile tab to sync the two (because why would you want to have them sync by default), now there are more fixes needed, then the next day, open the mobile app to see duplicates you literally fixed the day before, try to delete in mobile - apparently can't be done, then you feel rage and [counts to ten].... you feel better for a minute. THEN REPEAT THIS WHOLE CYCLE FOREVER. IT'S RIDICULOUS.
The desktop version is great but there might as well not be a mobile app. Consistent issues trying to sync accounts. Constant errors. Tech support seems more focused on desktop. Get rid of the errors please?!
The budgeting portion of this budgeting app has not worked for months. A message just says they are working on it. I can't believe the folks at Quicken are that incompetent. Terrible app. Try Mint or something else.
I have updated to 2018... Will not sync my accounts. Come on - you released a new desktop version you should release app update at same time!!! Waste of my time. I need the update
Can't even log in to the mobile app now. Have the full version on my laptop. I will uninstall the mobile version and forget it, as I don't want to spend the rest of my life going around in circles trying to log on, reset my password, etc.
Like with everything else involved with the quicken program, this just doesn't work. Syncing, budgets...nothing works correctly. Come one guys.....and you want a subscription too? Haaaaahaaaaaaa!!
It sucks! Purchased the upgrade to 18 and can not log into the phone app! Press log in and all I get is a white screen with the orange quicken banner. Laptop site don't appear to be anything different than what I had before, way to screw customers Inuit!
I wanted to see all my bill reminders on the app just like on the desktop version and that feature is missing. Without this feature and still lacking the budget feature, this app is a work in progress and not currently a helpful companion to the relatively stable desktop version.
App has omitted some transaction and duplicated others. Quicken support has been unable to assist.i have used Quicken for 15 years. I'm giving up on quicken mobile. All it has added is frustration. Really disappointed in product.
Useless garbage. I will not continue using OR purchase Quicken. It used to be great. Now it's junk.
I have been a Quicken user for 25+ years and now with this crappy mobile app I am looking for a better program. I have reinstalled the mobile app 6 times and it will not open with my desktop 2018 Quicken open...ARGH! Terrible app...don't bother with it. LOUSY APP!!!????
The app is in dire need of fixing. It won't show me my budget as it has been "temporarily disabled on this device" for the past 4-5 months. The numbers it shows for my bank accounts and investments are flat wrong and do not correspond with what shows on my desktop version of Quicken. I uninstalled the app, as in its current form is useless.
I couldn't ever get it to work. When I try signing in, it tells me to to go Quicken for Windows. When I try to set it up in Quicken for Windows, it tells me there was an error connecting to my accounts.
been using for years. Worked ok but the last 2 years, theyve lost ALL of my data. Unbelievable catastrophe to happen near the end of each year. The "help" folks are helpless to recover data. Should have quit them after the first catastrophe.
I go back and forth on this app. Some revisions work great. Other fail miserably. As a companion app to track expenses it's ok.
I am beyond frustrated with this companion app. The app installs successfully on my phone, but does not on my Chromebooks even though Play Store says the Chromebooks are compatible with the app. I've installed and removed countless times now. Each installation results in the same, a white screen after logging in with my Quicken credentials. It would be extremely helpful to be able to use a Chromebook with this app for the sake of using the keyboard and being able to tab through the transactions to enter the details, tags, and splits. Also, I used to be able to use my Amazon Fire tablet to edit transactions on the mobile app, however the app is no longer available through the Amazon appstore. On the Quicken site for the Mobile App, they list this app as being available through Amazon appstore. The desktop version comes in handy for many things, but only if you have time in your schedule to dedicate to sitting and working with the full application. If you are looking for a way to keep track of your expenses that allows you the flexibility of working both at your desk or in the go, you should look elsewhere. This mobile app does not live up to my expectations.
Horrible camera function in this app. Pointless to take receipt pictures. Crashes in iPhone. Need to find alternatives.
This app blows. Sometimes I can log in, most of the time I can't. It also creates duplicates of all my accounts.

I have been a Quicken user for over 20 years because it is the most comprehensive money tracking and budgeting software on the market. I was thrilled when Quicken launched the companion mobile app primarily because my husband and I could track our budget from anywhere. Unfortunately, the budgeting feature has "been temporarily disabled" for several months now! Although imperfect, the budgeting feature is one of the main reasons for using the app. When will this be fixed? I will be looking at switching to another product in 2018.
