Plate iQ helps restaurants in 3 ways.
1. Help automate your Accounts Payable by automatically putting all your invoices into QuickBooks. You can maintain your existing accounting classifications and don't have to change anything.
2. We give you a intuitive dashboard which is much better than using QuickBook reports to understand your costs. We automatically classify everything you buy into categories like Food, Supplies, Meat etc. You can see trends of item prices down to individual SKUs similar to looking at stock prices.
3. We help you understand your plate costs in realtime. We provide a quick way for you capture your recipes/menu items and we automatically calculate your plate cost for each of them and alert you when they go over a certain number. You can finally know the cost of the falafel wrap based on the invoices you got yesterday.

Very easy to use!

The Android version of the app is very lacking. It almost seems like the app is fake. There is an option in the iOS version for notes. The desktop dashboard also needs improvement. It is not easy to use. I have not been successful with adding vendor accounts and editing invoice line items. Overall needs a lot of improvement. Not as straightforward or easy to use.
