Redi-Chek for Android
This app seems to work well, but I really miss the temperature chart that Weber has in their app for the igrill (which they bought, vs developed in-house). Please add a cooking temperature chart to monitor how fast the food temperature is rising while cooking. That feature addition to the app would be especially useful for low and slow bbq.
Pretty basic app. Had a different unit and really liked it until the probes went out and thought I would try the maverick. REALLY miss the trending from the other app. Wrote the company and they said there working on this for and update. That was months ago. Not happy.
Easy to setup and works perfectly. I have two probes, one for the grill temp, one for the meat temp. Has pre set temps (like well done beef) or can be custom temp. Device doesn't show up in Bluetooth devices but shows up fine in the app, so if you try to pair outside of the app it won't work, nbd.
All you mental giants with connectivity issues ... PUT FRESH BATTERIES IN THE UNIT! And go back to second grade, learn to read! It is useful to read the INSTRUCTIONS ON THE APP. It works just fine.
Needs to.display probe temperatures and timer readings on same page. Also needs buttons on the face of unit instead of on the back . Timer setting method can be made easier to set. Difficult to find buttons (on unit) to turn off beeper in dim light. Needd Remote turn off from app to turn off unit at Barbeque. The popup nagging warning "Probes 3 and 4" are not connected" is irritating. I know how many probes I am using. Need to be able to disable which probes are not being used. Quirky interface. Basically, needs complete update. Helpful hint: Turn on Maverick unit for about a minute before opening app and connecting via bluetooth. This makes for a quick successful connection. I also a quick app cleaner to stop background apps that can jnterfere with bluetooth connection. But, this thermometer is otherwise great for cooking on a Traeger pellet barbeque. It is nice to use probe to monitor oven temp and food temp from inside on my lazy boy ir in kitchen while prepping rest of meal, especially in winter. Workd just fine with Nexus 7 tablet and Samsung Galaxy S4 phone.
Worked on Galaxy S7, S5 & Tab2, never lost connection on either after going through 2 walls and travelling some 60 feet. I did a customised temp setting to suit a Webber cooking a pork roast and it was perfect. 25/12/16. Cooked a turkey in the Webber today, set temp to 85c and it was cooked perfectly
Wont stay connected. Piece of junk if you do long smokes.
Doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy S7. Doesn't detect the thermometer.
Works fantastically on my Samsung Galaxy S6. Once paired, it will reconnect easily...no complaints at all. I can even use the app alone for the timers and stopwatches.
Turned on wireless thermo, downloaded app and started, Bluetooth search, found and worked flawlessly on Droid Maxx. UPDATE - new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, works great...
Doesn't even pair on a Samsung s8. Read the reviews before buying it's not worth it. I'm going to have to return it.
Hasn't had an update for over a year. The Bluetooth connectivity is poor. No where near the 160ft advertised. Try 20ft at best.
It's nice when it works, but it keeps disconnecting while I'm only a few meters away. Wish an update would fix it.
Will not connect to Note5! I use with Note4 and works OK!!
Does not work with android phone. Was able to pair with ipad.
Sometimes it says connect probe! When it works it's a good app.
Works well.never had a problem
Was able to pair with HTC M9, but took a few tries. Opening the app seemed to force the pairing.
So far app works well, i would really like to see a temperature report or graph so I can see the temperature during the entire cook
Turned on wireless thermo, downloaded app and started, Bluetooth search, found and worked flawlessly on Droid Maxx.
This app is slowing down my business. For the amount I spent I wish I could send it back.
Only a dumbass would rate this 5 stars!!!
Nearly useless.
Have no issues with the app. Make sure your Bluetooth is off and allow the app to turn it on. Using Nexus 6
Does NOT synch via Blutooth to the marerick transmitter
Call me a geek, but over the years I've found the best way to avoid problems with any new tech toy is to replace the batteries, even if the unit comes with batteries. Sometimes I think that's why so many new devices simply come without batteries. With fresh brand name batteries out of the box, the 735 works great. Be sure to allow the app all of the permissions it asks for. The user interface is not as intuitive as it could be. There is no traditional menu. But once you figure it out, it's not bad. SGS-5
I use this on my Nexus 9 just fine .. the Bluetooth is on the same frequency as 2.4 wifi so if your in a area with lots of routers and closed windows and doors and or dead battery's on the transmitter expect poor results from very far away .. like 20 feet or so .. don't buy the cheap probes.. they are off by more than 10 degrees and you will get what you paid for .. otherwise this 735 app works wonderfully and my food comes off the pg500 as perfect or better than anything I've ever had .. my HTC m8 failed .
Need to work on the Bluetooth connectivity. Was so excited for this thing but you dashed my hopes and dreams to the rocks!
I'm having literally the opposite experience of every one else. It works perfect. Even went out the front and still connected.
Worked on Galaxy S5 & Tab2, never lost connection on either after going through 2 walls and travelling some 60 feet. I did a customised temp setting to suit a Webber cooking a pork roast and it was perfect
Connectivity is terrible, after 3 weeks still cannot get it to read temperature
Using with a Samsung Note-5 ver 6.0.1. Could use an alarm on low temperature setting. Must follow directions in quick start guide for Bluetooth to work. No problems with range of connection.
This app is much better with the Oct. 10th update. It reconnects seamlessly. Thanks!
Love my ET-735, works perfectly with my LG G4.
I purchased this item as it was recommended by a BBQ website. Firstly there were no instructions for use in the box. There was a quick start guide to walk you through setting up the app and connecting to Bluetooth. Beyond the exterior of the box and the guide there was nothing. The app has the full user guide, however it is not helpful. Secondly, the unit has extreme connectivity issues. There is no communication within 15 feet proximity and beyond 35 feet. Brand new batteries, directly out of the box.
I went for the 735 as I wanted the option of having 4 probes on the go. The app does sync with my Samsung galaxy s7 but if you go out of range it loses them and then can't re-establish the Bluetooth link without a power down and re-pairing which leads you to leave your phone near the cooker. Kind of not the point I thought! Anyway it was pretty simple to operate once you get the interface. Which needs work. I'll keep it but am hoping for a better app that can resync quickly if you've gone out of range.
Same issue as everyone else. Have tried every smart device in the home including Samsung tab, galaxy s3, s4, s5 and an iPad mini. Fix the software or fix the maverick as one of them is not fit for purpose. I just wish I'd seen these reviews before buying.
Sitting next to smoker with heat probe reading 231 and it does not pick it up on Bluetooth. Both receivers are registering regularly. Waste of 20 minutes of my life I can't get back. Thanks guys
Maverick: So many bad reviews here. Do you really not care? Or do you think the high bias towards bad reviews is really just dumb people? I have news for you. We are not dumb. Your hardware/software here needs fixing. Despite what the manual says, it does NOT reconnect after it goes out of range! I have to exit the app and restart it to get it to reconnect. Please fix this.

I had to write a review because I actually feel sorry for the developers. It's simple as hell to use. Never loss connection at 55 ft, through an outside wall, in -10 c, with 2 probs for over an hour. One for the grill, which worked great right beside the whole chicken using the little clip. And one for the chicken itself. It's exactly what Ive been looking for. No complaints
