It was working fine, since the update, I can't see my cameras anymore, keeps telling me it is offline and I know it is online! Please fix! Oct 12, 2017 I finally got online and chatted with a tech at Q see. He walked me thru setting up the app properly. Apparently you can't just scan it in, you have to put in the proper up address for local and the proper wan address for away viewing. It now works like a charm.

If I had the money to go back and buy another product, I would. For the last three yesrs, this system has been completely unreliable. We use it in our horse barn and have missed many things because of it's spottiness. I cross my fingers every time I try to use the app in hopes that it'll work. And the website, no matter what I do, rarely let's me into my cameras too. Absolute waste of my money.

I don't kmow what is happening to Q-see, it was such a great product when I first started using it 3 years ago. But now I will never recommend it to any one. I installed 12 Sony camera for a friend of mine and every time I click on that app, it works. There has never been a time when it didn't work. So something is really gone wrong with Q-see. Please tell the people what's wrong with your product. Thank you so much.

App didn't work when I did the update. Wouldn't even open. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and now it works great. Didn't have to enter any info. When using WiFi at home it's definitely much faster switching between cameras and playback is almost like it's live viewing. Not much difference when not connected on my home WiFi. Would recommend updated app based on home WiFi playback quality.

Another update that isn't fully tested. You need to make sure this stuff works before you release it! It did work, now it doesn't. Absolutely awful. Next cameras are from a different manufacturer simply because remote viewing has always been kludgy and unreliable. If it's not broken, dont fix it!

The app performance is satisfactory. It loads and responds correctly. I use it on a Samsung 6S and on a Tablet. I DID have some issues with off-line cameras...but I went to the Q-See chat help. They spent the time to set it up properly and now it works flawlessly.

When it works it's a slick smooth experience. Better than any I've seen before. Unfortunately it only find my device about 80% of the time. The web interface will also day they my device is offline. Then five minutes later it works. (Nothing charged on my end, the DVR was operational all along)

The cameras are good. The APP never works anymore. You have to load it 17 times and it fails to connect. It used to load every time without issue. The developer abandoned it I guess. $400 for cameras that can only be used on the monitor inside my home. Bait and switch. Don't trust this brand. Sorry. I'm about to go review on every QSee product site I can find.

WTH are you guys doing? This update wiped out all my configurations and setup. Now I can't add my device. UPDATE: 9/15... So from bad to worse. Now this app decides not to populate my server list in the camera view. I've been patient with this app but now it's just stupid and frustrating.

The camera system works good. But the app is terrible. If I use it 10 times maybe once it actually works as it is supposed to. Connection problems, freezes up, I had hoped with updates it would get better but I've been using it for 2 years and it is as bad now as it was when I got the app 2 years ago.

Awful and certainly not user friendly. Never knew there was this newer version because there is no way to check if there is an available update. Do not feel secure and this is completely archaic! For the price we pay for the dvr and cameras you should be able to do so much more with this software!

Functions...barely. Slow. Clunky. Buggy. Needs some real work. UPDATE: still buggy, slow. Weird video loss alarm notifications don't go away. It's prettier now, I guess. Still mostly sucks. UPDATE 2: STILL AWFUL

App worked until around 9/9/17 and then stopped working on both me and my husband's phones. Can see cameras on monitor. Also found an old phone with older app and can view on it. Please fix this app.

All your apps are junk. I updated tried every option on phone on app and all the different apps. May work a moment or two but fails after a day or two. The pass code entered works for a day then when entered a day later says incorrect password or pass code. I delegated, replaced, repeated, etc.. I think the company has some corruption within organization. The system is junk. Even the connections on DVR are to close together and very sensitive to the touch and do not have a good connection. I mentioned to company but they don't want to own up to it. The engineering of device is not good. I do NOT recommended products or service from this company unless they take customers seriously again I will not take this company serious. I have installed 3 systems from them and only over a course of a year do I see these problems start to present themselves. JUNK.

When I close the app before logging out of it, it will freeze up my phone and make it go black and not work for a long time before it comes back on. Can't even shut down phone or anything. Now the app won't even show my cameras anymore. Tried different devices and there is no update! MAKE IT WORK AGAIN!!!!

I'm changing my review from 3 stars to 1. This app is a constant problem for me. I'm able to view the cameras about 10% of the time. When I finally connect (sometimes that takes days..), playback is very slow and inconsistent. This app makes the camera system worthless to me. My husband uses an iPhone and has no problems. Please improve this app for android.

The app was working fine for about 6 months to a year but now it's back to not working again. Please fix or I really need to work on getting a new cam system. Too many of these problems keep popping up and the whole point of having cams is to see them when you want and not be blind.

If you uninstall the app first, then install the new version from the Play Store, the force closes should stop. That's how I got it working. QSee, I still like the old, classic version better even though it's a bit slower...

Failed to connect, once upon a time this app did it's job and did it well. However, so called updates completely disabled any useful features of this app and its associated hardware. It's definitely time for myself to be looking for new tech that works.

It's OK when it works which has been an issue for me. Does not consistently connect to network for some reason on Android phone. Connects more consistently on iPad. It was ultimately probaby related to a port forwarding & settings issue. Don't call Qsee support unless you are better able to understand very heavy Indian accents. That's where customer service is...India!! Extremely frustrating trying to understand them. Try Live Chat

I loved this app and used it every day, however it does not work anymore. I've checked the server settings and scanned the qr code multiple times, please help! Debating on replacing my camera system because of this issue, very frustrating.

I made a mistake pressed on update, after seeing many disappointing reviews on the new update. The app does not work anymore. It doesn't allow me to select report. The crash pop-up disappeared as soon as it shown. Could you post the previous version back so I can use it again. Thanks,

Im joining the bashing. What are you guys doing to fix this??? I just spent 2 hours with my cable provider thinking its them and now i see theres an update that went out and i cant get access!!! Of course your tech support is closed today!!! Fix it now!!

This is probably the worst app I have ever used!! I would be ashamed to have my name on this if it were my company!! 10-24-17 This is the worst product that I have ever owned!!! I have given Q-SEE enough time to improve itself but apparently it will never get better than what it is today. I will be replacing my security system with a much better one.

Total junk. Doesn't work. I would like to know how 100 thousand got it to do anything other than say wrong user name or password. Or failed to connect. Q see QT View Classic works great.

UPDATE ALL JACKED UP NOW CANT OPEN on my phone. And unit is 2 hours away...(IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT. DAMMMMIT!!!!) Cant wait to call (hours wait) and get told to pay some "premium view" BS.

Generally works great and fast. It will be even better if you can add fast forwarding on replay. Setting the time in replay is extremely difficult. It is impossible to set the accurate time using time scale. It should provide an option to set the time by entering the number or vastly improve the time scale setting.

Generally I am happy with the app. Occasionally I get connection issues which can be frustrating. One improvement I'd like to see is on playback. Trying to move the slider to a specific time on a cell phone is not easy. Add to the slider a button that lets you move in increments on tap. I hope thst makes sense. Otherwise, I'm pleased.

Seems to work better than my last review, some Reason remote viewing stopped working unless I'm on the home WiFi, maybe it's my phone. Need a way to get snapshot pictures sent to the mobile. Need a way to log into it remotely, maybe I just don't know how.

August 2017 You Updated the app and now it is BROKEN. Even after full uninstall and re-install my saved systems disappears after a reboot or a few days of not using this app. NEED FIX ASAP!!!! Original Review (June 17) The most recent update has made this app totally useless. It used to work great on prior versions, now my app immediately crashes and closes. HELP!!!!! ASAP!!!

The update doesn't work, the app just crashes and closes. When it was working it only did local viewing. I had to uninstall and reinstall to make it work, a normal update shouldn't require this.

Verdict is still out, the reviews are still mixed. With some people indicating that this was working for them got me to looking into this more. Having already uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times with no luck on remote viewing, local viewing was fine, I decided to play with the settings more. The software, when updated, defaults to the local IP address, it does not pull in the DDNS address. Noticing this I worked to figure out how to change the settings. Add a new device with the DDNS address under Server List. Fixed. It now works remotely. Appears strong, no unusual latency. It would be great for the folks pushing out these updates to include information such as this, especially for all of the negative feedback they have received.

Even trying to make the reviews work suck I have had this unit for about 3 years now and I've had every app that was updated and still to this day it sucks sucks sucks. I'm fixing to throw the whole thing in the trash and go buy a Samsung that works correctly what's the use of having the app if it does never work when you need it even the unit without the app sucks sucks sucks do not recommend buying this from this company by Samsung instead not happy at all

UPDATE: I'm piling on with the others. Latest update today made it unusable. Shuts down right when it opens. Wish I could go back to previous update that worked. I always cringe when an update is available. Please fix or let us know what's up!!!

My qsee suddenly started to give me problems. Cant log in remotely to view the cameras on my phone and tablet. Had this systems for about 3 years and everything was fine until a few days ago.

I just updated my QT View app to the latest and now it won't start. Previously it worked fine, but now when I go to start the app it only flashes on for a split second and then closes. Not good.

Most of my previous concerns have been addressed, but the stability issue remains. The app starts up, but often all I see on the video screens once it starts up is an error telling me there is a network connection issue. Odd, given the other two dozen or so Wi-Fi devices at my house are working fine. Same error occurs when the phone is on a cellular network, taking my network connection out of the equation. This error is now happening on my at least third phone, suggesting this is not a phone issue either. The app works about 50% of the time.

Yes this update has some improvement, faster but can not do remote set-up. today 2017 - 06-29, after update, it is not working any more. I have to uninstall, shut down and reinstall again then it is back to work. Oh lah lah.
