Qphoto for Android
The app has gotten worse! Keeps freezing can't even use it ugh. Last qnap device I'll ever own.
This app would be more appropriately named 'QNothing'. It won't upload photos automatically, if I manually upload, it tells me my photos are smaller than 0*0, Qsync folder is always empty (I use qsync to upload photos because it actually works), there is nothing smart about smart albums (there is nothing smart about a blank screen), and private folders, the only part of the app that almost works, displays photos in random date order. Incredibly poor program.
Nice app. Two things (bug and feature request): 1) random view in presentation mode does not working for me on my Samsung Tab 8.9 LTE with Android 4 - show the same sequential order 2) it would be nice to have built-in app feature that will prevent screen to go off - e.g. for 30 min, 60 min, .. and also forever
I would give this app 5 stars with the Face search feature available in the desktop web application for x86 models
For the past month or so, I just get a "Uploading failed! Waiting to retry." error and nothing will upload. I can watch the data load all the way to 100% but it fails at that point.
Since the last update no images can be shown anymore. That means that either thumbnails are not loaded or no images are found at all. Sometimes I had to refresh every!! page to see the actual folder structure and files. I am running QTS 4.3.3 on a TS-853 Pro.
Much improved with recent updates.
Basically the app is better than synology especially videos. You can select playback quality easy to have faster playback on mobile. But as mentioned before the sliding is really strange. Also performance should be better e.g. preloading next images.
Once I figured out how to define folders as picture folders, thanks to a reaction of QNAP support on an erlier review of me, it works like a charm! It is exactly doing what I want it, easy access to my pictures and a good way of browsing/viewing/presenting pictures! Recommended
Horizontal scrolling through the full sized images is very irritating because the current image just disappears then the next one slides in. All this happens independently, without touch control. Please make a decent image slider/carousel, having images in a row, one after the other, which is trivial to implement on Android. - in the same view selecting a small image from the list people expect that one to appear without any slide-in effect. This is also annoying. Please just replace the full sized image, and done. - figure out a way how external developers can help you out with programming. It seems that you need some help. - get an ux expert.
The app is ok. I spent a lot of money on a qnap nas bc the photo app was richer than my wd network drive. Although there are some better features, its slower than my wd network drive and was 4x the amount of money of the wd. If i had to do it over again, i wouldn't have spent the money.
The app has got a lot better over the last year I have been using it but one thing I would like to see us better tagging, especially tagging multiple photos
Keeps freezing, no automatic backup, and hard to configure.
Let's me connect to all my photo right when I need them, remotely or local.
Why does this app now need access to Device ID and call information ?
It was working perfectly, now it it always displaying no files in this folder. Qvideo and QMusic still working
Why do you need access to my phone's microphone for browsing photos???
Can't loop photos from an album on dlna device
Why does this now require microphone access?
good
Qnap, if you open source this, the community will give you a much better app. Currently it's just OK. A few obvious problems: when swipe across the photos horizontally, the experience is horrible. It blacks out then animate. Download Google photos and see how that should be done. The photo list keep its scrolling position after I choose a different month. When I choose a month, I expect it could scroll to a different month when there are no more photos in this month..No .. I have to select a different month manually, with 3 clicks.. Luckily it's not crashing to me. 3 stars.
Would be nice a lite version, lighter without editing features not necessarily for some of us.
Works decent when app actually runs. It won't even open more than half of the time. It's just a white screen when I try to open the app on my S7. After force stopping, it opens again.
Prev post:Fails to start after upgrade to marshmallow on s5 ... now works after server upgrade (versionitis). Server still whipes tags on upgrades so it is still : back to useless. Google needs a black hole prior to first star rating to indicate time suck that is this ap.
Basic things like the animation for scrolling through pictures are off, which is surprisingly disorienting, and there's no stretch to fit functionality for photos which sucks on high resolution screens, but the app is an effective way to browse photos on a QNAP device
Love qnap apps except this one. Can't use attached storage to view photos. Please fix
Only seems to look for photos in default media volume. I store my photos in another volume on different drive
Seriously? Come on...
No ability to sync photos I'm logged in as administrator and it tells me that I can't upload cause I'm not admin
Apparently my username and/or password details are incorrect, despite me entering precisely the same information to connect to my NAS via Qfile & Qmanager (which log in no problem at all). More flaky software from QNAP, unfortunately.
Cannot access using Nexus 6p
nas 內可旋轉,但 qphoto 無法旋轉,轉了,無法存檔。
Completelly unusable. Photos fail to load, you need to download them manually to view. Also requires PhotoStation on NAS, which exposes your photos to the internet, for anyone to view them straight from login screen, without requiring to log-in.

This is a well working app for accessing the photos on your QNAS, but I still prefer the Qfile app most of the time.
Load photos according to dates. But doesn't show videos accordingly. Need improvements.
Really useful
If you use this with a mere 1 mbit up link you'll find this a waste of time. With a great Internet connection between your Nas and the rest of the world, and you'll be able to access decades of photos right from your phone. Awesome.
I like pretty much everything about this app. Viewing, downloading, and sharing pictures works great. However, when you sync photos from your phone to the NAS, it changes the modified date to the current date time. Not great for weekly or monthly phone photo backups, because you lose date and time actually taken. Seems like a no brainer to fix this.

I can't tell if this is clunky or not because QNAP deletes your online account if you don't use it and an online account is necessary to use the app. Terribly designed "security" feature.
