Qmanager for Android
Will no longer connect to pre-4.0 devices. This makes it worthless to me. I manage multiple ARM-based QNAP NAS devices, only one of which I've updated to 4. The idiotic new UI does noticeably impact performance, so I will not update the others. Similarly stupid that they updated their app to prevent admin tasks on older firmwares when it worked fine in the past.
Why so many permissions? You don't need to know my phone number, web history, call history or see my local file and photos... Can you explain why you need each permission please otherwise we can only presume it's another unjustifiable data slurp.
works fine, but there's no good reason for this to need to see the running apps on my phone.
Not sure why this latest update wants to bypass the Play Store mechanism for updates, and install updated versions from within the app itself. Sounds dodgy to me. Also, why are you still using the old install-time permission model, two years after the world moved on?
I thought I would be able to access my NAS remotely. Huge bummer!
perfect to manage our qnap and monitoring
Over-reaching on access to personal information that is not required to perform functions
Now forces me to use qnap ID. Not interested and it's a pain. And you can't paste your password. Well done. Yay.
The UI in the screen shots doesn't match the app. The app size is far too large. It crashes a lot on start up.
Q id really? I buy for home if you need improve security fix code and reduce method not add more method
10FEB18: Needs Android System integration QID so each app can have SSO
Had to setup NAS manually, wouldn't autofind it from my LAN. 23MB for this app is ridiculous, optimize it!
It should not be named q"manager". It's really only a monitoring app except for the ability to turn installed apps on & off. But that's it. Disappointing.
app is useless for remote mgmt since it doesn't let you decrypt a encrypted volume after the nas restarts or crashes. why such a silly limitation? do you not want your users to use your device?
Full of bugs, can't work with it.
The app is slow to unusable.
Useful but with bugs Displaying background tasks, such as an antivirus scan, do not work. Other options such as resource monitor and logs work well. ***Edited 12-19-2017 I can no longer recreate any of the problems that I had with the previous version of this app. I have edited my review to 5 stars to reflect this. I don't use the app as often as I did. The QNAP just keeps humming along doing its thing and I'm happy with the purchase and the mobile software that are provided.
Very good app for NAS control. It works very fine. Can create user or share folders in short time and manage their permission.
Can't get it to work. It connects but never loads any data just shows a spinning circle forever. Finally the circle goes away but I can't do anything like shut down the NAS, once again just doesn't work.
La aplicación se cierra al intentar conectar, xiaomi redmi note 4
Hate it. Always disconnect and unable to reconnect.
Connection logs weren't displaying in 2.5.1. Now fixed in 2.5.2! Thanks guys. Love this app.
Work's!
Not compatible with IFTTT with mine Ts251+... on mine OnePlus one. Was trying to create a widget button to quickly shutdown the device. Not compatible with Doby wifi camera... Discontinued support for Kodi (v.15). Can't open Excel saved files unless downloading it to phone, once download it'll not save on qnap file.
All I want to be able to do is use my phone to issue the shutdown command to my NAS, after several clicks I used to be able to do it. Now the app refuses to connect to the NAS, even though it detects it. And I can login from my PC, and both are on the same LAN. Uninstall..
Too many permissions. It is a storage manager app. Why does it need my phone number, accounts, or device history?
Unable to use, does not support 2 step verification
In the resource monitor view in the users tab, there is a mistake in parsing IPv6 addresses. IPv4 is correctly shown ????
Great app. Developer has fixed many issues that plagued it in the past
After latest update cant see resource monitoring status (CPU, and Memory). It was working fine before
Sends me straight to a blank firmware update page. Unable to manage my NAS at all
After update it doesn't work. It just getting firmware update page and nothing....
This app has started requiring too many permissions. It's for managing NAS & SAN devices why does it need access to the camera, files on my SD card, and my contacts? Also if I wanted to access any of these things through I could use an already implemented function on my phone for doing that so why do I need to give you permission to do it directly without asking on a case by case basis?
Even in the same network it takes so long to show the info, cpu and such. Download tasks show connection failed message in local and non local network. It's even more slower when on mobile data or different network, why?
I have a TVS-671 with a Comodo wildcard SSL certificate installed and two-factor authentication enabled. After installing QManager, I can successfully connect one time only. It will not connect again after. Never. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall each time in order to connect. This problem does not exist with QFile or QMusic, just QManager.
Please consider adding an option to change to notification sound for the notifications. Currently it is the default Android alert sound (across all devices), which happens to be my default SMS + new calendar event sound. It would be a great improvement if you could set a specific sound for QNAP alerts and know that there's a problem on your server. I'd assume users using the Qmanager rely on the app for the notifications. Custom warning sounds are a simple fix and would add a lot of depth to the app.
Great little app. Just noticed though it doesn't report the correct speed of the network traffic. I was transferring a large amount of files between NAS'S at about 110MBs but the app only report 60MBs. Other that The app provides excellent functionality.
This update is great! Many useful details can be seen easily. Thank you very much for the development team!
Love the new app design and ui. At the time of writing this review, the pictures in the play store are of the old design. QNAP! Recommend uploading new screenshots! Show off the new app!

Despite some of the other reviews for Qmanager, I genuinely had no issues using this app. It shows me my NAS' vitals and reports and allows me to remotely manage necessary settings and apps. Exactly what I was looking for, thanks Qnap!
