My SmartCam for Android
I got these cameras in the summer, and every thing was working until October 19 . Can't log in to do anything. When I called customer service they said the problem was at my end and said that the cameras are defected and wanted me to send them back without a replacement, After reading all of the problems everyone else was having I knew it was them and I don't think anyone is going to fix it. If you just bought these cameras take them back to the store because if you don't, you will waste money
Right now this is a 1 star app but previously it was 5 stars. Explanation: Network failure errors at every connection attempt. I have tried this with both WiFi and via cellular service. Can't login, can't reset password, new account isn't an option either as it just does not communicate according to the error message that pops up but offers no details.
I would gice zero stars. These cameras are a rip off. Every time I try anything in app all I get is a network failure. These cameras are junk now or you can use as a door stop or as a spare baseball. Never buy Emmerson products, such crap.
The app doesn't let me log in, I tried with different units and i still get the login failure error message, I contacted the manufacturer and they said the issue is with the app developer, so I proceeded to contact the developer and still no reply, I tried to check the developer website and found out that the website isn't available because its domain is on sale. Just wish there was another app compatible with the camera.
I have tried to sign up for an account a bajillllion times. It keeps saying network failure. Calles my net provider. They say it's the router or device. I have purchased and so tried thia out on 3 different routers, they all say it's the all. I love these cameras. But man. Any one know if I can go through the PSN
Not working been being charged for months with no access to my camera. Can't get ahold of anyone to help with the matter, the app won't allow me to log on this is a bullshit app and camera
Bought the camera, installed app, received network failed error. That's basically it. Now I know to check the apps prior to purchasing a different one.
Can not get pass login, I have no idea what happen 10/19/2016. No Problem I will dele2thus BS and get something NEW!!!!
I've used the app & cameras for several years, suddenly the app fails to connect. Everything on my side is setup correctly.
Someone obviously went under because suddenly went to logon one day nothing. I have sent emails no answers, although they maybe drowning in them at this rate with all the unhappy people. If you are just installing thia software and have the camera stop and return it to the store and get your money back.
Update: As so many have already said "SUCKS AT EVERY LEVEL". My previous comment still stands plus everyone else's comments of late! I completely understand all the negative feedback. I can't even think of words in any language that could describe just how bad this whole setup is. You can't monitor unless you are logged in and you can't login any more. Which means you can't do anything with your camera, except watch the blinking green light. You can't record unless your logged in, thus previous comment. You can't use the pay to record extortion priced cloud service unless your logged in... Continue from beginning of comment loop add infinity!!!
The app won't let me make a new user name. Says not connect to network but I DEFINITELY AM CONECTED
I can't even create and account because it says network failure every time. DO NOT WASTE your time or money on this product.
As of yesterday, app no longer works. Can't login or reset password. Camera is now rendered useless. Following the link to the developer website shows that the domain is for sale and no longer active. Looks like a cash grab and run.
Will not let me log in and have sent for password to my email for 2 days and no responce from anyone. This needs to be fixed looks lik alot of pissed and upset customers.

I buy a baby cam 2 way and don't let my set up i can open this app.don't let me sing in say 1 network problem. 2- parameter error. Or missing? Its new pls fix this ( Emerson cam)

This was a waste of money and I'm going to return it! I can't even connect even if I'm standing right next to the wireless router! Needs to be taken off the market ASAP!!!!!
It worked great now I keep getting login failure... Which renders my camera and app useless
This is just terrible. I hooked the camera up. It briefly worked. I have tried installing the camera as a new device and it does not work.
Ive tried 50 times it just happens to never find my camera and now it wont even log in

Worked ok, now fails every time, want you to by new version, giant scam. Do not purchase!!!
What a wast of time is a joke, this app don,t work at all for a smartcam from Emerson so do not wast your time and return your smartcam!!!!

Do not bother. Sharper Image products like this are unreliable.
I set up an account soon as I'm done want let me sign in. So I think maybe it didn't set my account up try to set up again then said account already exists really........
Worked fine for a while now all I get is login failure. Junked it!

Won't connect to wifi. Can't get hold of developer - emails coming back & website non existant.
Can not use because it won't let me create an account. It just keeps saying Sorry Network Error.
I bought this last Christmas and I still can't get it to work... it's a joke..
That's good stuff, lol. App requires login/authentication, for which the server has apparently shutdown. Devs; abandon us if you must, but release the creds, so that we may opt to use the hardware with no/our own security. - oh well. Can use them as legacy devices on P.C., or likely find a replacement app @ xda.. - gave 2 stars, as coulda been worse, and looked like was good when worked.
Would no connect. Customer Service told me (Samsung S6) my phone was to new for the app. to work. Ya, I didn't believe it either. Sending It back not because Of product. I really thing CUSTOMER SERVICE with proper instructions could have ended the problem.
Service started off well but nosedived and I couldn't get help from the developer after sending an email. I'm still waiting to hear back on why I can't get any video footage which was my only purpose for purchasing the cameras and the CVR service. After reading other reviews I see this has been a major problem.

The company who was hosting the DNS redirect for this app to communicate with the camera has obviously gone under. Camera and app are now nothing but bricks taking up space. Shame, I liked this little camera but was always a little concerned my traffic was routed through a server in China. Probably better off without it...
