CAMARAD is the app that provides information and alerts you of the police radars, the photo radars and the red light cameras in your vicinity. The info found in CAMARAD is provided and approved by its steadily growing community of users. Join the drivers in your area who already share locations in real-time. This will help ensure your safety by slowing down in risky areas, plan your routes and keep your hard earned money in your wallet.
By driving with CAMARAD active, you will be alerted whenever you drive nearby a police radar, a photo radar or a red light camera. You can actively report the locations you see on the road to warn the other users from those risky areas. You can also approve the good or report the bad locations identified by other users.
- Easy connection using your Facebook account or as an anonymous user;
- The users can report locations of police and photo radars as well as red light cameras;
- “List Mode” indicating nearby locations, using only negligible amount of data;
- “Map Mode” visually indicating your position relative to the nearby identified locations;
- Easily add new locations while connected to your Facebook account;
- Approve the good locations or report the bad or expired ones;
- “AMBER Alert” feature providing info on the current searches and deactivating the display of all police locations in the app to prevent the kidnappers or other criminals from escaping the authorities;
- The app does not keep any data on your whereabouts.

Top-notch database, but it needs to be able to overlay visual alerts over other apps, like most competing apps.

Can't tap and put info once I passed area. Let's say I am 1km away speed trap I can't tap screen and say it's back there I can only put it where I am now.

Doesn't detect ANYTHING, ALL IRT DOORS IT, LIST WHWER OTHERS HAVE SEEN ... So basically your relying on the input of others, it's not ""real time"".

fonctionne bien sur mon S5. Il manque intégration avec compte google. Par contre l'application demande bcp de permissions des fichiers du téléphone ce qui est un peu tannant en 2016.

Je ne trippe pas que l'application ne fonctionne pas en background. Si je suis sur ma page home, je ne reçois plus les alertes. Également lorsque mon main-libre est branché via bluetooth, les alertes sonnent dans l'écouteur donc je les manque. ces deux détails font en sorte que je n'utilise pas l'application mais je la garde et attend les updates car elle a énormément de potentiel.

Pourais etre ameliore pour simplement dire radar partout 24/24 7/7 car selon lappli il y aurai 5 radar en permanence sur capital et ce depuis 2 semaine...

L'application n'est encore qu'à c'est début et c'est très prometteur. C'est Fluide, rapide et ça permet de voir les radars sur notre direction. À ceux qui se plaignent que ce n'est pas en tâche de fond suffit de regarder sur la carte à l'avance si il y en a vers votre destination.

Être obliger de se connecter juste avec facebook, je trouve cela assez ordinaire surtout qu'il faut être connecter pour profiter de toute les fonction de l'application.

Did not show much for the central Alberta area. Calgary had some but Edmonton/Sherwood park had none then on the highways to Jasper there's alot of cameras but none listed. Wouldn't recommend get a real radar detector. Hopefully they update it and make it better.
