سم الله الرَّحْمَن الرَّحِيم وَبِه نستعين وصلواته على سيدنَا مُحَمَّد وَآله وَسَلَامه
قَالَ أَبُو بكر مُحَمَّد بن الْحسن بن دُرَيْد رَحمَه الله تَعَالَى: الْحَمد لله الْحَكِيم بِلَا روية، الْخَبِير بِلَا استفادة، الأول الْقَدِيم بِلَا ابْتِدَاء، الْبَاقِي الدَّائِم بِلَا انْتِهَاء، منشئ خلقه على إِرَادَته، ومجريهم على مَشِيئَته بِلَا استعانة إِلَى مؤزر وَلَا عوز إِلَى مؤيد، وَلَا اختلال إِلَى مُدبر وَلَا تكلفة لغوب، وَلَا فَتْرَة كلال، وَلَا تفَاوت صَنْعَة، وَلَا تنَاقض فطْرَة، وَلَا إجالة فكرة، بل بالإتقان الْمُحكم، وَالْأَمر المبرم؛ حِكْمَة جَاوَزت نِهَايَة الْعُقُول البارعة، وقدرة لطفت عَن إِدْرَاك الفطن الثاقبة. أَحْمَده على آلائه، وَهُوَ الْمُوفق للحمد الْمُوجب بِهِ الْمَزِيد، وأستوهبه رشدا إِلَى الصَّوَاب، وقصدا إِلَى السداد، وعصمة من الزيغ، وإيثارا للحكمة، وَأَعُوذ بِهِ من العي والحصر، وَالْعجب والبطر، وأسأله أَن يُصَلِّي على مُحَمَّد بشير رَحمته ونذير عِقَابه.
قَالَ أَبُو بكر مُحَمَّد بن الْحسن بن دُرَيْد: إِنِّي لما رَأَيْت زهد أهل هَذَا الْعَصْر فِي الْأَدَب، وتثاقلهم عَن الطّلب، وعداوتهم لما يجهلون، وتضييعهم لما يعلمُونَ، وَرَأَيْت أكْرم مواهب الله لعَبْدِهِ سَعَة فِي الْفَهم وسلطانا يملك بِهِ نَفسه ولبا يقمع بِهِ هَوَاهُ، وَرَأَيْت ذَا السن من أهل دَهْرنَا لغَلَبَة الغباوة عَلَيْهِ وملكة الْجَهْل لقياده، مضيعا لما استودعته الْأَيَّام مقصرا فِي النّظر فِيمَا يجب عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى كَأَنَّهُ ابْن يَوْمه ونتيج سَاعَته، وَرَأَيْت النَّاشِئ الْمُسْتَقْبل ذَا الْكِفَايَة وَالْجدّة مؤثرا للشهوات صادفا عَن سبل الْخيرَات، حبوت الْعلم خزنا على معرفتي بِفضل إذاعته وجللته سترا مَعَ فرط بصيرتي بِمَا فِي إِظْهَاره من حسن الأحدوثة الْبَاقِيَة على الدَّهْر، فعاشرت الْعُقَلَاء كالمسترشد، ودامجت الْجُهَّال كالغبي، نفاسة فِي الْعلم أَن أبثه فِي غير أَهله أَو أَضَعهُ حَيْثُ لَا يعرف كنه قدره، حَتَّى تناهت بِي الْحَال إِلَى صُحْبَة أبي الْعَبَّاس The name of Allah the Merciful With using and prayers to the Prophet Muhammad and his family and peace
