يعد موضوع (أسباب ورود الحديث) من الموضوعات المهمة في علوم الحديث الشريف المتعلقة بالمتن، وقد اعتنى المحدثون والفقهاء بهذا النوع من أنواع علوم الحديث، وحرصوا على إبرازه وضبطه لما له من أثر في فهم النص، وضبط الاستنباط منه.
