I'm having the same problem as most everybody. I really like the app, but when I try to update my stories it freezes at a certain percent or certain fanfic. Whether it be at 75% or 92%. I tried deleting some because maybe there is a glitchy story but nothing.

J70%
by J####:

Always saves position, whether backgrounded, closed suddenly, etc. Search is decent. Author needs to update to support Horizontal Rules. A lot of authors are using them for section breaking, and they are completely lost in this app. A way of tracking how far you've read a story would be cool. As well as the ability to back up your library.

I loved the idea of this reader - something which brings together three of my favourite fan fiction sites seemed perfect. However, the reader does not allow me to filter my browsing to, say, only completed Harry Potter fictions as opposed to incomplete Twilight ones and that, for me, is a deal breaker.

by L####:

It's a great replacement for another fanfic app I used to have, only problem is the fact I can's share or copy over my collection of fanfics to another Device. Lately I'm also having graphical glitches while using the app. When Scrolling or switching pages it'll go away, but it is annoying. The glitches are about 1x1cm and are a copy from another part of the screen. This is on a brandnew galaxy 3neo

It's a very good app for reading all your favourite stories. It would be nice though if there was a way to filter when you're searching on Archive of Our own. It isn't really enjoyable looking through 3000 stories of multiple fandoms and lengths just to find the one you're looking for...

D70%
by D####:

I love this app. Because i can have my own collection of favorite stories without. And internet connection. My only problem is I've noticed some of the stories are cut of at random parts, if this were to be fixed id bump my rating to a 5

D70%
by D####:

I love this app as it allows you to read fics off multiple platforms. And seems to be the only one that accesses Ao3. The only issue I have is with updating. Wheeler I try to update my saved stories it gets stuck at about 30-40% completion? Any idea why?

R70%
by R####:

the only thing that could make this even better would be allowing to connect the accounts we have in each fanfiction site so we could review/leave kudos, etc without leaving the app or having to run through pages and pages to find the one fic we liked.... but I know this would be asking for too much so I'm content with what we have now!

by D####:

So far, this ones the most stable app for reading Fanfics out there. The ability to download the Fanfics for offline reading further improves the user experience. The only problem I had was that I could not search the Fanfics name or the authors name. Please fix it.Otherwise,Great work!

D70%
by D####:

When updating a lot of stories, I'd prefer a single notification listing the statuses of updated/etc, instead of 30-40+ individual notifications. And if you have 50 or more fanfictions trying to update at once, after the 50th or so they update with a status of "-15 of 0" and such. Also the Read Online leaves out the slash between the story id and chapter in the URL it tries to open.

While I wish there were more search options, its not that bad to find fan fiction in browser and then search the author in the app. However, what I'd love is an ad-less paid version! I've used Codex for years and the ads are annoying. Just a bit.

I enjoy the fact that it has a night mode. However, I feel that it can be improved if a word-finder feature is added in. If I accidentally change chapters, it's always a pain to scroll back to where I was. Also, a 'collapse all' and 'open all' button for the categories when on the menu would be nice.

D70%
by D####:

I really love how well this reader runs. Only problem I see is no way to back up your entire libary in case you have to transfer or get a new phone. Edit:Got that new phone... doesn't even launch now

D70%
by D####:

Literally the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I am being 100% genuine when I say that reading fics on my phone with this app is somehow much, much more satisfying than using a computer, and that probably has to do with the fact that it does almost everything a reader could ask for. It's smooth, it's *very* stable, and it was clear and easy to use it from the get-go. Thank you for making this, from the bottom of my heart!

D70%
by D####:

Great app for collecting all three sites together. But could use some work in the search area. Adding tag, series, rating, and character sections to the search would make finding specific things much easier. Currently got to settle with selecting a series or a single tag and scrolling through a bunch of unrelated stories till you find the one you want. Plus no way to search for authors. Any author names are searched for like a tag. Instead of pulling up works by that author.

D70%
by D####:

I really like it. I just wish there was a feature that allowed me to search by my favorite authors. I get recommendations for fics according to author so its hard for me to find the fic I'm looking for. Especially if the title of the fic is pretty common. Other than that I love this app.

D70%
by D####:

I love this app. But lately, my stories won't update. It says update 2 of 50 and it'll stay like that until I tap it. So basically, my uploader freezes or something. Can we please fix this so I don't have to delete the app and install it again...

D70%
by D####:

I use this to read everything. It's so simple. The only thing I could wish for is if the devs added a filter like thing to the AO3 section, like the actual website has. Other than that, it's my go-to app for when I'm bored.

D70%
by D####:

i love this app but i wish there was a backup option of some sort? when i move phones i have to take a video scrolling through all my fanfics and then manually add them into my new phone its kinda tedious :/

D70%
by D####:

I live this app but the update stories isn't working hardly at all. It gets stuck at 86% and if I back out of it it may only actually update one. I have stories I know have update and I tell the app to update it and it comes back negative unless I ask to go to the webpage and when I come back it seems to reset. Please fix the update issue.

U70%
by U####:

Re-installed it into my new phone recently and it was fine until now. You literally cannot do anything with it anymore. It doesn't let me download nor update my stories at all, even though the stories still exists or ongoing on Ao3 or FFNet.

D70%
by D####:

This is the only thing I read my fanfiction on and I would be lost without it seeing as how over 70 percent of my days are spent reading Fanfics. I have one request though. It would be amazing if there could be some kind of visual marker showing you which stories you'd opened, read, liked, and disliked. Mayhaps something like this? -- Red X for disliked stories, Green O for liked stories, Gray Dash for unread, and Gray Plus Sign for read. All in the top corner or somewhat when browsing. :) It'd be very nice

Z70%
by Z####:

This app is literally one of the most useful things on here..... seriously it's very intuitive, simple and does exactly what it says. It's like the Manga+ of fanfiction reading. However I have a small complaint, would really like the search function to be a bit better. Especially in AO3. Because I have certain stories which aren't easy to find on there. All I ask for is an updated search function, everything else is awesome. Maybe also a notification once a story you save updates but besides that this app is pretty amazing

Q70%
by Q####:

I've been experiencing some problems regarding the updating of the stories. It only updates up to 15% or a little bit more, but never completes 100%. I don't think its about my connection since I cpuld download 200+ mb video in a couple of minites. I have 60+ stories so its hard to do it 1 by 1, so if you could look into that, that would be great. Other than that, I think its perfect. More power!

H70%
by H####:

Please add a back up option in the app. I had to reset and change my phone twice and I had a lot of stories in the app, some which was already deleted by the author. I would really appreciate it if you could add a back up function or at least a login to save our library. I don't enjoy searching hours for the stories to find out that it was already been deleted.

It's good. It stores stories offline which is really helpful when you're reading a long chaptered story and doesn't always have internet connection. It works for opening/downloading stories on both FFN and AO3. But the browsing feature is not that good, especially on AO3. With FFN, the only thing missing is the pairing option in the filter. With AO3, there're a whole lot of other filters missing, not to mention it seems to have trouble loading stories from it. It often gave me a "no stories found" and I had to redo the search. So most of the times I search for stories in the mobile version of the site and open them with the app for downloading. All in all, it's still my favorite fanfiction reader app. I'd pay for a more stable version and of course... ad-free.

D70%
by D####:

I absolutely love this app, and the way you can read fic while offline and in a nice, readable appearance! My only gripe is that you can't search by pairing or author - if you added this in, it'd be a definite five stars!

V70%
by V####:

It's the best fictionpress reader I've tried. It can properly sort stories unlike the reader I used before. My problem with it is that it easily drains my battery life compared to other reading apps :( Also, can't seem to export as ebook.

Y70%
by Y####:

It's okay. Gives me a "failed to load" message when I try to continue, and doesn't have any sign-in or bookmark features, so if you lose your place, you need to go hunt down what you were reading again.

by Y####:

This used to be my favorite app but for the past year out has stopped allowing me to filter results by anything other than sorry by, language, and ratings. I've been waiting hoping it would be fixed but no one else has even seemed to mention having this problem.

P70%
by P####:

I wouldn't mind paying for a version without ads, but it's a good reader overall, especially with the separate websites you can get stories from!

J70%
by J####:

This little app keeps me sane, at times. Formatting needs to be improved a bit, as there's no clear distinction where author's notes start at times and where they end. Searching can also be a pain as there's very little in the way of options to narrow things down, making searching a specific word or phrase challenging. It updates stories perfectly, though, and organizes ones you choose to keep nice and neat. Being allowed to read your favorite stories offline is so satisfying.

Best fanfiction application so far (I've tried a lot) but I'd rate this 5⭐ if not all the crossovers would be under one section in the library, preferably if they can be broken down to more crossover sections ; Also the underline style, alignment, and line breaks aren't there.

Z70%

No problems like force closing and crashing, but it's glitchy when searching for titles and authors (comes up blank, unrelated results, etc). I kinda wish you could sort the categorized fics into different folders. Other than those things, it's an awesome app! I love that you can download stories! Rating: 9/10

This was my absolute favourite app for a long time and worked perfectly well on my previous device. Now I have a Galaxy Tab, and I just have one tiny problem: whenever I try to open settings, the app freezes, becomes unresponsive, and I have to force close it. Other than that tiny issue, though, this is definitely the best fanfiction app in the Play Store. I especially love how you can access fics from three websites through one app. Another issue, though, is that I can't search by author. Please fix these?

Y70%

This is a very good app! The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that it needs a "mark as read" / "mark as unread" option. Pls add one and it'll be perfect!!

I just downloaded it, at first I wasn't expecting anything but when I saw the contents! Omayghad you surprised me! I love this app! Keep up the good work!

This is such a fantastic app for fanfiction readers 'on the go' and for people with limited data. However i think it's faulted in the searching options for Archive of Our Own. It might just be me being nit-picky, but i feel like adding more options would allow for more precise fanfiction searching. All that put aside, this is definitely a keeper.

V70%
by V####:

The only app I use. It's brilliant, simple and fast. It supports AO3. I wish there's a search button tho to find a specific fic saved. It's really tedious to scroll through every fic. The ability to add tags to fics could also be handy. Also, the filtering. Can't change fonts and no login/review features but I don't mind much. I have not experience any force close. It's been a while since the last update. I hope the dev won't abandon this amazing app. Will you be adding material design soon?
