Associazione nata per conservare e promuovere quelle sane tradizioni che sono l'orgoglio della nostra terra. Le tradizioni popolari e folkloristiche dei Monti Lattari sono, per collocazione geografica, simili o uguali a quelle napoletane, infatti la musica, i balli, gli strumenti e i costumi rispecchiano l'originalità della nostra terra. Negli anni cinquanta, era costume suonare la classica canzone del capodanno Agerolese che, nei periodi natalizi, veniva solitamente suonata e cantata dai popolani. Amavano costruire strumenti rudimentali, fatti all'occasione per portare il saluto e l'annuncio del nuovo anno nelle case dei concittadini. Con il classico puti puti, il triccheballacco, i serra serra e altri strumenti, come l'abete rivestito di campanacci, sfilavano per le vie del paese addobbate a festa e molte famiglie, per ospitalità, e soprattutto per ringraziare i cantori preparavano dolci, salumi, vino, spumante e all'occasione anche fuochi per festeggiare insieme. Il gruppo folk ha ritenuto che tutto questo sia un tesoro inestimabile. Nasce così, circa un ventennio fa, l'idea di conservare queste nobili tradizioni e promuovere l'attività per avvicinare i giovani e meno giovani alla cultura della musica popolare agerolese e napoletana. Partiti con un gruppo ristretto e poco organizzato, grazie alla passione e alla determinazione si è riusciti a creare un gruppo che ad oggi conta circa sessanta elementi tra musicisti e ballerini che oltre alla classica canzone del capodanno, si esibiscono in un vasto repertorio di canzoni classiche, moderne e tradizionali. Started with a small group and loosely organized, thanks to the passion and determination we managed to create a group that now has about sixty musicians and dancers that in addition to the classic New Year's song, perform in an extensive repertoire of classic songs , modern and traditional.
