Adding Contacts
PyngMe identifies who among your phone contacts are PyngMe users. You can add them as PyngMe contacts.
Once they approve, pyng one another!
Control how you want your location shared
• Have contacts see it automatically, without you lifting a finger
• Have contacts ask for permission every time.
Battery Saving
PyngMe does not keep your location services running unless a contact is actively Pynging you. When they stop viewing your location, the app will automatically stop broadcasting your location. This conserves battery and data usage.
Data Usage
We use one SMS message to send you a registration code. Pynging someone is done via push notifications.
Each Pyng uses a small amount of data if your phone is not on Wifi. When PyngMe is posting your location for your friends to view it uses data if not on Wifi.

To try it long press the button to Pyng someone and you'll get a dialog with options. Select "Add Shortcut". The created shortcut will appear on your home screen.

Worked well cross platform with an iOS contact for the first couple of hours. Next day it's just hanging saying "waiting for [contact]" even though they have the app open and access permissions set to 'allow'. Unreliable. Uninstalling.

Working great as advertised. It got everything that I need & don't need such as ads & other unnecessary features. One of my friends got a problem with login (unable to login after reinstalling the app) *solved* & it would be great if it also show battery level info. -Upgraded to 5 stars. Don't worry if u have any problem with the app. The dev will help u figure it out.

The app works good, you can get your friends location on demand so no wasted battery nor data. Still a bit buggy.

This is the only app I've found that can share locations on demand without having to continually monitor and report your location (and consequently drain your battery). It currently has a few rough edges, but the developers are actively working on it and are incredibly responsive.

Kept crashing so I uninstalled and reinstalled it but no way to log in as a registered user, and also won't let me register again. Disappointing as was a good app when it worked but now I can't seem to use it

I personally don't have FB account and don't want to get one. Why not letting people use their Google account? Don't think it would be such a security concern as everyone use G account with Android here. Also SMS notification would be good to have as an option. For those people who use battery saving apps because they basically keep 3G data connection disabled and reenable it periodically so location update request could be delayed. SMS, on the other hand, delivers at the first possible chance.

I like using pyngme to check whether my housemate is at home and to see how close my buddy is to arriving when we meet weekly to shoot hoops. Also cool that I can pyng friends in Malaysia and Indonesia just for fun.

Doesn't do what is says. Only worked once. But on next day, I tried it with perfect Internet data connections. Both phones pick their own location through gps but cannot get location of other phone. It always says... "waiting for [contact]". Both phones are Xiaomi Android Lollipop.
