IIFYM:
IIFYM simply means eating a diet that meets your macronutrient needs. The idea of IIFYM is simple – you eat whatever foods you like the fill your allotment of proteins, carbs and fats. This can set your target that can later be added to myfitnesspal. This can also be used for macro nutrition calculator with diet plans including: Ketogenic, BodyBuilder, Paleo, Low Carb, Zone Diet, Low Fat.

BMI:
BMI, or body mass index, is a simple calculation that is commonly used to indicate whether you're a healthy weight for your height. Your BMI is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms by your height in metres squared.

BODY FAT (Tape & Calipers):
This body fat calculator is based on the body fat algorithms developed by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army and the YMCA. There is 4 measurements to calculate body fat with a tape measure and also body fat with calipers

BODY FAT TESTING WITH SKINFOLD CALIPERS
The Skinfold caliper is a device which measures the thickness of a fold of your skin with its underlying layer of fat. By doing this at the key locations can be a quite accurate representative of the total amount of fat that is on your body.

Calculations include: Jackson/Pollack, Parillo, Durnin and Womersley, Sloan. It can also be used with different body types from Caucasian to African American using different formulas.

BODY FAT TESTING WITH TAPE MEASURE
This tape-measure test is used to estimate your percent body fat. It is usually quite accurate. This includes measurements from U.S Navy, YMCA, Covert Bailey.

ONE-REP MAX:
Need to know what your one-rep max (1RM) is for a new workout program based on percentages? Use the calculator and formulas to figure it out. Of course, this is only an estimate. Don’t take this for fact.

What are users saying about BodyCal (IIFYM, BMI, Body Fat)

K70%
by K####:

I was looking for an app that would separate out for me how many carbs, proteins, and fats I needed to take in each day in order to meet my goals. This app was super simple to use and exceeded my expectations with all of the details and the variety of options there were. I used this app to get my numbers and goals, then I took it over to myfitnesspal to track my actual foods. But myfitnesspal certainly would not calculate my goals like this app did.

Z70%
by Z####:

Gives different figures from other apps and websites so not sure what to believe. Keep changing my height in the profile for some bizarre reason. Could do with links or info on different preferences. Clear and easy to use. Just sort the data entry/height thing out.

N70%
by N####:

This app has alot of what I have been looking for but is still lacking a few features as follows: 1. The ability to calculate 1 rep max *and* give percentages of the 1rm; 2. The ability to enter foods to the macro calculator.

N70%
by N####:

Being new to working out and watching my food intake I really needed the extra help to stay on track. This help me set my goals which I might have not been able to do otherwise. 25 pounds lost so far!

N70%
by N####:

Needs some testing ive encountered some glitches. Also nuthing in the heart rate section works properly on my phone.

Y70%
by Y####:

There isn't any way to add food. Are you just to assume you've got it correct?

N70%
by N####:

I'm 76.6kgs, but it won't let me put that, it will only allow 76kgs or 77kgs. Which is wrong you see. Which makes all body fat calculations wrong. Which makes it unusable, fix that and then I can review it.

M70%
by M####:

Would like a bit more info... As a novice I don't really know what I'm looking at. Can see the potential of it being really useful

I70%
by I####:

I wish I wouldn't have paid for it before I noticed it doesn't track body measurements. If that was added in it would be perfect.

N70%
by N####:

For trainers it's an awesome tool to do a quick plug in once I've gotten clients info, few seconds of in put and I can instantly trek tdee, then several options for cutting or bulking, even breakdown per meal adjustable to how many meals per day

N70%
by N####:

This is the 1st app like this ive tried & have only just set it up but seems pretty comprehensive so far so i'm giving it 4 stars. May upgrade to 5 if i find it helps me with my transformation goals over time.

M70%

Says im overweight when I'm 190lbs and have 12% body fat??? So stupid just go to ur doctor once every two months to keep track, this is garbage

F70%

Great and accurate app for tracking body fat percentage. Love that it has various BF calculators and allows for customization. Would be nice if it stored customized info.

R70%
by R####:

Basics and then some. Nice interface, better if it told you what your calorie count needs to be at to reach a certain weight goal by a certain date

R70%

This app has alot of what I have been looking for but is still lacking a few features as follows: 1. The ability to calculate 1 rep max *and* give percentages of the 1rm; 2. The ability to enter foods to the macro calculator.

This app is the best that I have found with all the right features. The interface is very easy to use and understand.

L70%
by L####:

Great opportunity for the developers. Now that myfitnesspal requires a paid premium account to set custom goals this leaves the door wide open for someone to create a solution. This app could be perfect for iifym followers with some changes and additions. First, make it so the user can enter their own custom goals. Second, create a place to log nutrition like in myfitnesspal. Bonus, add a section where users can upload process pictures and see them side by side.

R70%
by R####:

I was using iifym to get how many macros i should be eating. But now you have to sign up for iifym and I wanted something free to calculate what to eat. It's great for me and does what I downloaded it for

U70%
by U####:

My height is always changed to 154.94cm for some reason.. I can't explain it. Deleted user data, reinstalled, re-converted the measurements type from one to the other and back again.. Nothing works..

R70%
by R####:

I've tried many apps but this one is the most accurate and breaks the nutrition calories down for how many meals you eat. I eat 6 meals a day.

Y70%
by Y####:

If you're having a hard time figuring out your macros then this is the app for you.

R70%
by R####:

How do I sync to myfitnesspal like it says in your description?

D70%
by D####:

Has everything I need. Although the app keeps defaulting to Mifflin method rather than katch after I return to the profile page even though I have body fat entered and saved. The other thing is the calorie recommendations are a bit weird. My TDEE is about 2050 but for textbook bulking it recommends going 200 over, and for reckless 300 over. Most personal trainer and athletic organizations recommend around a 500 calorie surplus. So I'm surprised that number isn't the textbook or reckless recommendation.

S70%
by S####:

Keeps a lot of information I am often looking up in one place. I like it.

D70%
by D####:

Im training for both powerbuilding and a mens physique show this app has allowed me to adjust my macros for my on season and my off season

D70%
by D####:

The app covers pretty much all goal-setting needs. However, there seems to be a bug that prevents me from saving my profile's calorie expenditure formula (Katch-McArdle). Please guys, it's annoying having to reselect it every time I open the app.

R70%
by R####:

Great app. Haven't noticed any bugs.

A70%
by A####:

I put my height and it changes it even tho I save it, from 180 to 177,8 all the time!!!

R70%
by R####:

Brilliant app, way above the rest! How does it connect to myfitnesspal?

H70%
by H####:

Like the app but cannot determine how to periodically update body measurements. This is important info to keep track omg please enlighten me. Otherwise a/b 5 star
