Why do you need access to my pictures ? Or make calls from my device. Or any other information. Not only will I not download the App I will never patronize your establishment. Remove these ridiculous list for control of my device and maybe then I will come back. I would give you negative stars if possible. Do you wonder why your rating is only in the 2's?

Uninstalling, without using. You do not give a credible reason to allow access to phone and file privileges, and none of your responses address the complaints. "Better and more personalized experience?" Ha!! Users get worse, slower, service and don't get the discounts or credits promised!! "We won't use your data ..." HA!! NOT CREDIBLE, and THEN YOU DON'T NEED ACCESS!! In California we have lots of options for faux Mexican food, you need to step it up and stop making excuses.

Why do you need access to my photos. This is ridiculous. Takes way more than ten burritos to earn your free one now. The app is huge as well, 30mb is way too large for this glorified useless punch card app. Oh and it's yet another incentivized facebook link to keep me using archaic social media I don't care about just for some free points. I love Cafe Rio but if this is the direction you guys are headed I might as well start going to Chipotle or Barbacoa.

I am not willing to give the info requested which is plain stupid. As for the food, good thing it was no go as Rubios u now in the area and they are in fear of losing business which I won't be returning. Didn't get any salsa and though there is suppose to bend and rice with the chickens pork burros i have beans and rice with trace amounts of anything else. Website ordering is not good either. No option to add or delete other than what they offer. Go Rubios!

What a bunch of whiney babies! This app works great and I even got $5 for signing up. The app needs camera access to scan gift cards and phone access to call from the app you dumb holes.

Can't turn off notifications for both phone and email. It now requires way more than 10 meals to get free meal. Terrible service. The cards were way better. Also way too many permissions to download. Seriously?? And no, I am sharing the problems here, where hopefully it will help someone instead of your website where it will do nothing. Why is the app required to have sound manager access, why can't we decide not to use these things. There is a reason your app is so poorly rated. Maybe listen to your customers.

Can not order online through the app. Cannot create an account no matter what email is entered, it just keeps saying invalid email. Had 9 punches on my card and only received back 60 points. Go back to the punch cards, not worth the hassle for what benefits you receive

It never works. I've had to use guest checkout every time because it is clearly signed in, but won't let me check out! Also can't use rewards when ordering online.

They stopped using the old pocket cards and said they only use the app now so I tried to install this in the store and immediately it wants permission to everything on your phone including the phone itself which is absurd I don't think I've eaten at a Cafe Rio since. so annoying all these apps want to invade your phone with unnecessary permissions

This app is sneaky. It bypasses tbe play store notification about permissions, only to require them once you try to open the app. I also am very disappointed with the switch from cards to the app. You earn way less free meals with the app. My office used to eat at cafe rio at least once a week. With the change to this app, they have lost our business. We went to chipotle this week, and doing costa vida next week. Im sure other businesses will follow suit and stop ordering from Cafe Rio as well. If you value your customers, get rid of this app and go back to stamp cards. On a side note, people are not using facebook anymore. Stop trying to drive business through archaic social media.

Constant notifications for discounts and specials lately, but when I tried to use the promised valid $5 off through the app, the store computer would not take it. To add insult to injury, my credit card was charged the full amount but the app only awarded points on the "discounted" amount. Bait and switch, plain and simple.

Downloaded the app in July of this year because of the free 5 dollar coupon. Once in the store the coupon wouldn't work. Yet the coupon showed as redeemed and I only got points for the discount (that I did not recieve). I was mad but a few weeks later got another coupon... and I thought I'd try it again. This time for a BOGO meal. Same issue, got stuck paying for a coworkers meal. Tried contacting app support and store for support and revived zero response. Deleted the app and refused to go back to Cafe Rio for a while. Here it is several months later and I had to go for a work lunch, so I download the app again to use a coupon since the manager insists all kinks have been resolved. Boom... same issue. No coupon, get ripped off on points. I won't ever be going back. Not because of the app but the poor quality of customer support from both the app team and at the store. Guess Chipolte is my new go to.

The permissions required for this app are absolutely insane for what it does. Literally I just want to earn free food, you do not need any special permissions to do that. I will not be attending cafe Rio very frequently since I'm effectively locked out of rewards for valuing a modicum of privacy.

Good luck ordering through the app in under an hour = straight garbage. They require a second account to complete the order and it wouldn't accept the $5 off coupon they used to get me in the first place. Tried a phone order, but no answer? Cafe Rio, hopefully this review will help you understand why sales are declining.

Functionality is awful. I recieved a notification saying that I could earn triple points yesterday. The triple points never registered to my account after I scanned my barcode. This isn't the first time this has happened either. False advertising

1. ...really? I need a password for Cafe Rio, way too many passwords in my life 2. You need two accounts to use this app. One for the app and another for the specific store you are buying from. 3. This is the worst of all. I used this app once....ordered my food, which took too long because I had to create two accounts. Then I show up at the store and think I will pick up my food and I will be glad to not wait in line. Wrong, I sat there and waited and waited while other people walked in 5-10 minutes after me, waited in line, got their food and left. So, in addition to the inconvenience of actually using the app, it will not save you time....just make you more hangry. Oh well, no more bonus meals at Cafe Rio.

Daily notifications that you can't turn off in app settings. I'm not eating at Cafe Rio anywhere near daily and so don't need them blowing up my phone about some points promotion. Go back to the punch cards rewards system

I just used this for the first time. The app seemed to work fine. My understanding is that the reward program is 1 point for every $1 spent. My purchase was $7.77 (before tax) and I somehow earned 6 points. I'm no math wiz, but I think their math is off.

I have to log it my account, then log in again with another account in order to pay.....stupid. Cafe Rio, as usual your customer service sucks no matter if it's in person or in an app.

They bypass the Play store's built in permissions notification. So, you download an app that appears to not need any special permissions, only to find out you can only use the app if you approve location, phone, and storage permissions. I have not even been able to open the app, because I will not give permissions that they are not willing to advertize up front. The answer Cafe Rio gave to other concerned reviewers: "please be assured we don't access your personal information". People, be smart about the permissions you allow. Whether the company directly uses the information or not, they have access to it. Which means that any disgruntled employee or hacker can also access it. A reply to a review on the Play store is not a binding agreement. Cafe Rio can do anything they like with the information you allow them to have. We've see time and time again recently that companies do not protect customer data well. This app will require much more than 10 purchases to get any free food. How much is your privacy worth?

you want way too many permissions on my phone. Your meager rewards aren't worth it. No reason for you to have access to photos on my device.

Why do you require the access that you require? My phone calls, pictures, etc. That's creepy. Worst part is that you got rid of my rewards card for this failure. Seriously please fix it, I don't want to have to give up eating at your establishment, but I will if you don't change the requirements for redeeming the rewards I have earned.

Cafe NSA (aka Cafe Rio). This app and rewards program are a disappointment. With all the permissions they are either spying on me or stealing my personal information. Now I frequent Costa Vita instead.

Look, don't get to difficult and create an app just because everyone else is doing it. Go back to a punch card. It will cost less.

Bring back the punch cards. Some things are better off not getting the tech treatment.

We order online, but not through the app. We pay at the store, then scan the receipt. By taking advantage of double points and other offers, we redeem rewards more often than we ever did with the punch cards.

Setup entire order, press back button once, instead of going back one page like every browser does, goes to home screen of app. Entire order erased.

Not user friendly. My food is always wrong when I order with the app.

It took my $5 redeem credit and would not add it to my balance it just disappeared???

App is ok with the exception of trying to order online, that is an absolute nightmare.

Uninstalling without using due to permissions asked for while I wait In line for food at Cafe Rio. No need for that kind of access.
