Tesco Ireland - Home Shopping for Android
I am enjoying the new revamp of the app. I think the 'search' option should be easier to find, though. Also i still have the issue of searching the brand 'Quorn', a veggie brand.. And having ham the first search results that appear..it's almost like the app is mocking me, lol..
My first Impression was that it seemed like a good app. Filled my basket up to 38 items and then hey presto they all disappeared. Not going through that again.
Very bad update. Epic fail. Problems as all descdibed below. It used to be great, now it is user unfriendly. Pleass fix it.
Terrible. Filled up my list with over 100 items and suddenly they all disappeared. Had to start again only for it to happen half way through again. I'm going to Aldi tomorrow!
Updated but still having the same significant functionality issues with the redesigned app: 1. When scrolling through any long list, clicking on a product and then going back to the list takes you to the very top of the list again, not where you were. Terrible if you're making your way through your long list of favorites. 2. Products in favourites keep repeating. 3. The product tiles may look good, but more of the product name is obscured. You have to click into the product to see the full description, and then when you go back you've lost your place because you're back at the very top of the page (see #1). Also, the increased white space requires SO. MUCH. MORE. SCROLLING. Previous design was just the right amount of compact without being visually overwhelming. 4. Search bar should be visible everywhere, not just on the home page. Also being able to see the total at the top without going into the basket was handy in the old version. Please fix, I use this app a lot and now it's a very frustrating experience.
App used to be awful on tablets and larger screen phones but now it's really great! Super improvements and no more tiresome freezing
Not recognising the correct login and password so can't do anything. First time trying to login since update. Not impressed.
When you try to filter the sales search it just brings you back to the original sales screen with no filter, doesn't seem to keep club card details either
Love the new look of the app BUT there is a bug with the shopping basket. Keeps adding multiple items. So I put 1 bag of apples but there are 4 in the basket. It happens with lots of items. I need to check and remove the extra items each time.
Feel like no one has actually tested this app...even with recent "improvements" it's still so not user friendly. Try testing it with real shoppers...I have so much feedback to give!
Please fix app so I don't have to select a new slot if I add to the order.
You can't tell if something is already I your basket or not. Tried this app a couple of years ago. Thought they might have got the basics down by now but no! Might try it again in the future but for now its getting uninstalled again

Ruined It. Last update has made this app as bad and as useless as the ios version.
Doesn't work since the upgrade. Constantly giving me blank pages.

OK seriously Tesco you need to sort out your app I tried logging in for ages still won't work plus after a short while my shopping list just disappears then I have to start all over again but when I try to start a new list it wants me to log in again but yet again I can't
After trying to log in for about 30 mins and finally getting signed in, the app kept closing because of an unknown error? How annoying. Won't be using that app again.
New update, new design, same problem, still can't log in.
Pure rubbish, can't even sign into my account. Tried to sign into account on website from 4 different P.C's. No luck. Followed all instructions from help desk and after 10 phone calls over 4 days to help desk still can't sign in.
I suddenly can't order through the app. When I select home delivery I get as far as the checkout and then the verified by visa screen doesn't show up, if I select click and collect I get some random error on the screen. Told by customer care they don't know when it'll be fixed. Very poor experience.
Useless app. I use the website all the time & was looking forward to getting the app. I needn't have bothered. It won't even let me sign in. Yes I'm entering the correct details. Yes I've tried a different log in. No, it still doesn't work. Pity. But from reading the other reviews it seems like I'm not alone.
Very unreliable. A couple of products wont add to my basket...Even though i have ordered them before. Craps out at verifies screen...Lost order...Had duplicate orders etc. Could be great but it's a pain to use
Tesco, what have you done to the app?!? I did an update and there are no sub-categories now. If I tap on 'Fresh Fruit' I see ALL THE DAMN FRUIT. It doesn't classify them as 'Citrus', or 'Berries', or 'Free range apples not from cages'. I don't have the stonking time to scroll through all the fruit you have just to find the ones I want. Even worse is the 'Eggs, Cream & Milk'. I have to squint while scrolling to locate the eggs I want, in an endless list of everything else that are NOT eggs. Btw the search function is useless - if I type in 'egg', everything in the 'Eggs, Cream & Milk' section pops up. The filter function is also useless. Thanks Tesco, every little helps. (If you're hiring professionals to develop and maintain this app for you with good money you might as well pay a college kid dabbling in coding to do it for you - it'll be cheaper, and he might even do a better job)
Absolutely awful app. Almost impossible to navigate. When ammending an order there is no way to use an already booked slot. Hangs repeatedly. Dreadful!
It's okay for doing a basic shop but can't do substitutions and editing orders is weird and best done using a desktop site.
Need to sort out your SSO lads. Embarrassing. Did you test it at all before release? Can't sign in at all
Basic function of logging in is not working.. for me this is a useless app if a basic use case isnt working -- how did this pass unit test or smoke test?!! Un installing for sure
Worst app ever, freezes constantly, asks me to sign in yet I'm already logged in. Empty's the basket when I do manage to get it to work. Just dreadful
It just won't sign in tells I have to check my credentials (whatever that means) and can't contact customer services. Going back to the normal website.
Spent 2 hours only to lose basket, terrible

Major issues using the app tells me to update the app as this version is not supported. Have tried reinstalling same issue. The app will open but cannot search for anything times out. Cannot shop using the app at all.

Last update has resulted in things going missing from shopping basket regularly. Search function is useless, can't refine offers by category. Customer Service were made aware of problems a few weeks ago but just fob me off, they clearly don't care. Maybe time to try a competitor for online shopping and home delivery as Tesco don't seem bothered about their customers in Ireland anymore.
