myPSE from Puget Sound Energy for Android
Upon opening app it gives an error a few seconds later saying it can't complete request. Map never loads with any outage info, just spinning circle in screen. I have a couple iPhones with the PSE app and it works fine on them.
Total crap. Useful only to tell you how many pages there MIGHT be in your area. I reported an outage three times the same day yet it still showed my house having power in the middle of a large red area. Also listed an outage in South Bellevue as being on Mercer island
App says 1400 people are affected, website says 79194 people are affected, I trust website because it's a big storm. App is very slow and clunky
Have to use a screen rotation app to get landscape mode, no satellite option, map only, pretty useless app.
PSE needs to do a better job communicating with customers during power outages. This is when we need you most. Have at least one emergency person when a big outage happens to keep up up to date. This is big company BS. I
App always indicates I have power when I actually don't. There has been absolutely no improvement to this app since I downloaded it last winter.
What is the point of this app if you can't pay your bill on it? That's all I wanted...
This app is practically useless. At least you could do is display my account balance. Rocky Mountain Power has a much better app. Suggest you fire your current developer and hire theirs.
This app worked great but for some reason wont connect anymore. For a company the size of PSE it's amazing how out of date they are.
The outage reporting works better than the map. Our outages are usually scattered, so it's hard to track repair estimates.
Terrible. No point really I just wanted to pay bills to pse or check what my balance is or sine type of information that could be easily accessed through my phone.
You would like to believe that given the amount of money we pay pse, they could come up with a useful app. Junk
I let it run for an hour and the spinning circle was still there, with no outages shown..
Doesnt seem to work when you need it. Outage map never updates and reporting outages is impossible during an outage.
Slow and keeps crashing. Doesn't give update to outage and even shows our house icon as having power when we don't.
After a few seconds get error message that can't complete request. Used to work great but it sure doesn't now
I can't login, I can't report an outage, all I get is error messages telling me to try again later. I think I'll die of old age waiting for later to happen! Worthless app for me!
The entire neighborhood is out but the app says "powers on." Powers been out for several hours.
Sucks!! No way of being able to view your bill or make payments... For a view of outages I'll just check my local news instead of wasting space on my phone with this "app".
....never. Outage map always unavailable. Have not been able to access my account. Not one single time in the 3 weeks I've had this app installed. Embarrassing.
It takes 2 seconds every time to get this message. S7 nothing but wife's S6 works fine.
Doesn't work 99% of the time. Can't pay bills or look at your account on it when it does work. It's for reporting outages only I guess.
Tried to file an outage except it doesn't allow me to by some expired session message. The entire app is atrocious bad.
This is wonderful, power has been out twenty hours at time of posting, and the outage is still under assessment? Oh, that's ok, the longest time I was without power was 10 DAYS !! Please spend less time designing apps and more time fixing the outages ! POWER TO THE PEOPLE !!!
Thought I'd try the app before the storm got here. Says, "unable to complete request." I imagine it will work even worse during a storm when everyone is trying to use it. Uninstalled because it doesn't work or serve any useful purpose. PSE apparently just wanted to say they had an app. They didn't intend for anyone to actually try and use it.
I've had to outages, one where a truck hit a pole, and another where the main breaker blew on the complex, reported both via the app. They showed up in a few hours for one issue and it was solved immediately. The breaker was a different story but that has more to do with getting a new breaker then PSE. My only complaint is that the app is super limited. Wish I could pay my bill and check my account from it as well.
My power is out. I phoned it in. I got the app and it doesn't work. If i could give zero stars that would be my choice
Not useful if all the app says is unable to complete request. How much money did PSE waste building this app?
This app has been a sanity saver and anxiety relief. Information from this app provides decent insight to outages, time to address, etc.
This app worked great but for some reason wont connect anymore. For a company the size of PSE it's amazing how out of date they are.
Power to home not working, app painfully slow, change password feature has errors, not clear what pins indicate...
inability to paste in passwords makes for short & insecure passwords, or error-prone & time-consuming entry; can't even paste a username on signing in: this just seems like a design or coding error
If you're out of power, guess what, you're in the outage area...Can't even go into my acct and pay bills or make changes.. yet it asks you to login...
This app is terrible, takes forever to intall and then takes even longer to use!!!
You would like to believe that given the amount of money we pay pse, they could come up with a useful app. Junk
Tried over and over to report outage, said session expired whenever I tried to submit a report. Processing dialogs have double borders, dialogs within dialogs, giving the impression that it's poorly written.
Slow and awkward. Would have expected more considering the fact that they can't keep my neighbourhoods power going for more than a couple days at a time...
Used this app to report outages and get updates. It currently says my home has electricity in an area surrounded by darkness. Not so much.
The inability to paste passwords discourages good security because long, complex password manager generated passwords are too much of a pain to type

I'm sure this is just a definition problem but both Malwarebytes and Avast identify this as Malware. I requested the dev to post an MD5 so we can verify the app has not been tampered with until the problem is resolved but can "recommend" it until then. Don't be fooled that apps can't be Malware because they are in the play store. Google scans millions of apps daily and you just can never catch them all.
